This is the fifth book in the Screaming Demons MC Series. Grier's saga continues and there are so many twists and turns in this book it made my head spin. Lots of fast action and suspense. This has been a great series and it only gets better. The characters are well developed and strong. The story line has a lot of depth. No shortage of drama or danger. It's beginning to look like Grier might be an informant for the Feds. Events were unfolding so fast it was hard to keep up. The chemistry's still there for Fiona and Grier but the doubts start creeping in. A great book that I read as an arc and voluntarily chose to review.

This series gets better as it moves forward! Grier and Fiona are explosive and I love the chemistry between them. They both had been through ALOT but have made it. This has so much to offer throughout this story drama, secrets. it is a thrill ride like none other. I love the Screaming Demons series and this book was no exception! Summer you write on heck of a book and well I am ready to take that ride with you.

Rough Patch has everything you need from a MC romance book with just the right amount of drama, twists, danger, sabotage, secrets, betrayal, and hot sex. It has a great storyline with lots of action and once you start reading this book, you won't be able to put it down.

POV- 3rd person
Heat level- 🌋🌋🌋☄️🔥(1🌋=2☄️;1☄️=2🔥). Much hotter than the previous trilogy in the series. Would be four 🌋if there hadn’t been a period of time when he just wasn’t into zexytime.
Series? Y and cannot be read as a standalone.
Safety: no s. violence. Mild attempted OW drama. No cheating.
HEA/HFN? N. Ends in a cliffhanger.
Triggers- child endangerment, The Biker’s Trifecta (language, violence, explicit erotic content).
Tropes- Forced/Arranged Marriage~Marriage of Convenience, Pregnant Heroine, Love In an Elevator, Secrets and Lies, Club Princess, Madam President, Badsass Heroine (Amazon is very liberal in what they consider to be profanity).
Can we talk about: the cover photo? It looks nothing like the Hero’s description except that they’re both buff. The Hero has hair long enough that it would take a significant amount of time to detangle his hair and the cover model has very short hair.
What I liked- the plot moved at a good pace. I was never bored. I liked the honesty of emotion, particularly her feelings about her attachment to her baby and his fears. His fear regarding doing the thing during her pregnancy was very real, even though it wasn’t logical. The author didn’t trivialize her pregnancy mood swings, either, which was refreshing. And their love for each other, even when they’re disappointed, seemed very strong.
What I didn’t like- the whole lack-of-zexytime was similar to the same issue in the previous book, so it was tedious. And to be perfectly frank, this book and the previous one should have been one volume at most. The whole trilogy should be 1-2 books max. Stretching it out to three books signifies lazy editing and/or a money grab.
Verdict- eminently readable.

Finally Some Plot… But the Whiplash Is Real
Buckle up — we’re jumping into the first installment of the second trilogy, which is actually book five of the entire series. And finally, finally, we get something resembling a plot.
We’re still firmly in the territory of hot-and-cold main characters:
We want each other. We don’t. We do again. No, wait, we don’t.
Cue the back-and-forth dance for reasons that sometimes make sense and sometimes feel… generously improvised.
And because emotional ping-pong isn’t enough, the author throws a baby into the mix. Plus betrayal inside the MC. And trust issues. And maybe a sprinkle of “why are we doing this again?” for seasoning. Because why not—at this point, chaos is the true co-author of the series.
The good news: we actually get a consistent plot. Yes, the characters are still jumping around in terms of logic and personality, but at least the storyline stays on its rails this time. It’s still somewhat all over the place, but it feels like this is the first book where the author genuinely sat down and said, “Okay, what actually happens here?”
The bad news:
Cliffhanger. Again. Of course.
It’s starting to feel like a contractual obligation.
And yes, you do need book four to understand this one—continuity still exists, even if character consistency does not.
Overall, this is the first book of the series where I felt there was real thought behind the plot structure. It’s not perfect, and at times it feels like parts were stretched just to meet a word count, but compared to the previous books, this one is a structural triumph.
Still wild, still messy, still chaotic… but readable. And occasionally even enjoyable.

Fiona still isn't sure if she can trust Grier especially when she's given photos that make him look bad. Instead of asking him Fiona has Harrison look into it. Then when Grier suspects something is up she confronts him about it. This upsets him because all he has been doing is trying to find Sedotal and even went as far as to go to the FBI guy her dad had to ask for help. But she continues to disrespect him by not trusting him when he hasn't given her any reason for the distrust. Will Fiona finally sees that Grier isn't the bad guy? Or will he just give up and let her men kill him?
This is a very wild ride and will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole story. Just when you think Grier has suffered enough something else happens to have people turn on him. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I can't wait to see what happens next. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A absolutely flawless continuation of the exciting Screaming Demon’s series from “Rough Return #4” into “Rough Patch #5” & it has a excellent plot filled with intrigue & suspense as Grier discovers who his mother & father is. (Grier & Fiona) have a complex relationship with constant interference from outside forces & at times are quite confrontational but now there is a defenseless baby involved.
There is: MC riders, club rivalry, FBI, twists & turns, drama, suspense, manipulations, mystery, secrets, steamy scenes, threats, danger, enemies, violence, conflict, torture, sabotage, blackmail, suspicions, deceit, distrust, complications, discovery, emotional turmoil, decisions, verbal conflict, confrontations, devious plans & abduction. Sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger & I look forward to the next book with great anticipation.

Rough Patch: Fiona and Grier's story is the fifth book in the Screaming Demons MC. I'm absolutely enjoying reading Screaming Demons MC, and I can't get enough of this series. This series has me completely captivated and it's been that way since the first book. I'm loving how author Summer Cooper is spreading the story of each main characters, like Fiona and Grier into three separate books the reason I like this is because it has the reader wanting to read the next book to find out what happens the characters next. This series is having me on the edge of my seat with each book. I'm finding that I'm invested in each character and wanting them to have some kind of happy ending. I would still continue to suggest this book to other readers who enjoy reading these types of books.

This is Grier and Fiona’s beginning story. When Fiona was a teen, Grier was her bodyguard. Fiona crushed big on Grier, and when she tried to seduce him, he turned her down and walked away. He has been in Belize for the past couple of years and is now coming back home. He doesn’t know if he will live or die. I don’t want to say too much, otherwise it will give too much away. This has so much suspense, action, lies, secrets truths revealed, deceptions, twists and turns. Grier and Fiona have amazingly hot chemistry and they have a deep attraction for each other. Will they make it together, or will everything they want come crumbling down? This is a great start to Grier and Fiona and can’t wait to read their next part.

The drama continues! Oh my, I don’t know how much more my heart can take. Grier’s loyalty to the club is still being questioned. Fiona doesn’t trust him. Events unfolding make it look like Grier is in bed with the feds. How could that be? Grier would never turn on his beloved club. Grier’s secret plans are not developing as expected. Will Fiona be forced to have Grier executed for his perceived betrayal? This addictive page turner is a heart pounding, nail biting, roller coaster ride. I don’t how much more I can take. Rough Patch ends, wait no it doesn’t. I am left with another unbelievable cliff-hanger. I am anxiously waiting for the next installment. What a fantastic read!

The Roller Coaster for Grier Continues:
The love that Grier and Fiona have is so deep ever since she was young she had crushed on him, now that they are married will she be able to forgive and forget the past and give their marriage a real chance. The club is in turmoil someone sabotaging the club and Grier is keeping secrets trying to find out who. Maybe Grier should of written off Fiona and stayed in Belize. Grier is tough on the outside but has a heart of gold on the inside. This book is full of twists and turns, secrets and suspense along with steamy scenes and trust issues. A variety of things that will keep you on the edge of your seat page after page. It does not disappoint and is a great read.

Rough Patch is incredible, dramatic & intriguing. I am actually sitting here awaiting Rough Road, like a fiend.
There is zero way I would want to give away any part of the plot, because I do not want to ruin it for other readers, however, I can ensure that you will love these releases. I thought that I have read some great MC books, but the Screaming Demons MC has set the bar so incredibly high, nothing compares.

This is an action packed suspense filled MC romance story.This story will pull you in and keep you on the edge of your seats and th characters will captivate you.Hamilton goes into Fiona s office to tell her that he found Intel that Grier is meeting with the FBI she doesn't want to believe it so she tells Hamilton to have Sage hang around Grier an to follow him .Sage calls Fiona to tell her he's at the old warehouse and that Grier is in there with three FBI agents.She says don't call anyone keep this to yourself til I find out what's going on and if I don't like the answers ill put a bullet in my husbands head myself.There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page. I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

Grier returned to Maine from Belize with Fiona because he always loved her with a passion. Max, president of Screamin' Demons and Fiona's father forces him to marry Fiona. But nobody trusts him and Grier doesn't even trust that he can touch Fiona because of Max's warnings. Max dies and things go from bad to worse with only Fiona's taking over Max's office saves Grier from the judgment of the distrustful MC. That's just the beginning of this page-turner! Can Grier get rid of the ex-con Fiona hired as a personal bodyguard? Will he ever consummate his marriage? Will he have an heir and name it after Max? Cooper has another thrilling cliffhanger that still easily rates five stars.

Wow what another sensational new thrilling book in the Screaming Demons series from Summer Cooper. Fiona and Grier are back with new challenges and a new threat. Fiona has finally come to believe that Grier would never hurt her or the MC and they have managed to live in peace and a new found love, until unknown secrets about Grier's past come to light and a ghost from their not so distant past comes back to threaten Grier's new little family. Rough Patch is a dangerously thrilling new must read filled with danger, secrets, laughter, witty banter, passion, and love. I loved this new book and how the characters were able to show a more emotional side of themselves than before. I'm dying to find out what happens next in Rough Road.

It just keeps getting better!!! Grier has been doing his best to keep his family and club safe while trying to get to the bottom of some shadiness. But it seems like there’s more mysteries and madness around every corner. Someone has it out for the club and Grier is trying his best to get to the bottom of this.
This is another book that had me on edge practically the whole way through! There were some very endearing moments with Grier. And then there were some that I could completely empathize with Fiona when he frustrated me. This book ends on a cliffhanger as well which is killing me! I need to know what happens next!

And then there were some that I could completely empathize with Fiona when he frustrated me. This book ends on a cliffhanger as well which is killing me! I need to know what happens next!

The Series that Just Keeps Getting Better and Better
Author Summer Cooper has written a brilliant Screaming Demons book five. I swear I was so nervously read the last chapter. I mean I wanted to know what was the cliffhanger, but I had to put my iPad down, eat dinner, then finish the
book. Gulp. All I’ll say is NOOOOOOOOO!
This series continuously arouses my curiosity and love of the vast majority of the characters. So I overwhelmingly recommend this book for your reading enjoyment and satisfaction.

I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. Be still my heart! Grier and Fiona's story takes on a whole new dimension now that she is pregnant. The threats that the MC assumed were towards Fiona turn out to be meant for someone else. She is struggling to keep control of the MC, figure out how to deal with Grier, and now she just had a bombshell dropped in her lap! Whatever moves she makes next will affect not only the MC, but her husband and unborn child. Secrets are revealed, sacrifices must be made and the love that she an Grier can't deny will be put to the ultimate test. I'm dying for the next book!!!

ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!! The series keeps getting better. Grier is tracking down the man that wants to hurt his family and the club. The club is hurting not knowing who can be trusted. Fiona is doing her best running the club and working on her marriage. We learn more about the club history and some of its members.
The series keeps getting better. All of the characters including Hamilton, Jez, and Sage have an important role. I am sucked into their drama as if they were real people. I keep hoping for the best but the cliffhangers are killing me. Each one is better than the last.

What a great continuation of the series. Fiona and Grier are finally communicating just a bit.whike these two love each other. There are way to many obstacles in their way.
As they continue to find their way they must fight with the club that doesn't trust Grier 100% yet, Fiona's own doubts about him and the past catching up to them.
Grier also gets some surprise news about his mother.
With an innocent baby in the picture now these two need to learn to communicatand trust each other.
Can't wait until next book.

Fiona and Grier were all over the place in this one for me. Since I haven't read any of the previous books in this series, most of this book didn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. I believe in order to truly follow this book you need to read the previous 4 books in order to make this work. It also ends on a cliffy which seems to be a theme in this series. Fiona and Grier were both hot and cold. Each of them wanted the other one one moment and then didn't want them for various reasons the next moment. It got exhausting.

The tides were turning against Fiona, Grier and the MC from the outside looking in it looks like Grier is an informant for the FBI. Fiona can’t tell if he is or not but wants to believe him. In the meantime, someone working on the inside is sabotaging everything and causing them to lose money. Lives and business. Will Grier be able to keep Fiona and the baby out of harm while capturing the culprit? There isn’t a dull moment in this story, and you will not want to miss one single page of this action-packed story. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This picks up Grier and Fiona's story. I recommend reading this series in order as they build upon one another. Grier is back and finds the club has a possible betrayer. Grier is also working hard to build trust and prove his love and dedication to Fiona. Filled with violence, intrigue, murder, steam, enemies, sizzling chemistry, drama, twists, sabotage, secrets, betrayal and twists. Ends in a cliffhanger…sigh.

I’m loving this series!
It has so much drama, suspense, betrayal, secrets and hot sex! There’s so much going on in this continuing relationship between Grier and Fiona. They are perfect for each other. They have amazing chemistry!
Many secrets are revealed that are totally unexpected! With all the twists and turns you keep reading to see what happens next! I’m so excited to other next book to find out what’s in store for Grier and Fiona!

OMG, what are the odds of Grier parentage!
Loads of things going on in the Screaming Demons backyard with devastating consequences but some many things are at play that are out of there control and a massive Abel and Cain scenario.
Surely a time of upheaval for Fiona and Grier and it would not have come at a worse time.
That cliff hanger was merciless, counting down the days until I can find out who was behind it?
