It's actually a good idea but the execution is lacking. A contagion is unleashed on Manhattan and spreads by touch. It quickly turns into a cameo fest without much plot until the end though. Each issue is a different artist so that can be a mixed bag as well.

A pretty fun mini-event that doesn't have 50 tie-ins and relies on lower-tier characters to carry its story. They also gave a good reason as to why the Avengers don't just come and solve the problem in 5 minutes! Art could be a bit better, but it looked it's best towards the end.

This run started off pretty good. First three issues built up a little suspense and some stakes with some heroes getting taken out early. Unfortunately the last 2 issue kinda did this race to the finish line which killed the momentum. Therefor as a whole, this book ended up being just a touch above average.

A cool idea poorly executed, feels like the goal here was to give some less used heros more paper time. Moon Knight was the best part of it, and now that I think about... this plot is pretty much the same as the last volume of Moon Knight, lol.

Fun little mini event but nothing amazing. Contagion is just that, a mysterious illness that is taking over humans and super alike. The story really isn't amazing, its straightforward and no real twists almost like an intro book for younger readers/casual readers. What I did like is the cast and cameos, lots of character come out of the wood works to help out. The art is fine, nothing bad or amazing.
Worth a quick read but not a purchase.

This was okay, but I was expecting a little more. There's a magical fungus that is spreading throughout New York, probably inspired by THE LAST OF US, and the NY heroes have to band together to keep humanity from falling. Moon Knight played a big part, which I didn't realize going in, and The Punisher even made an appearance. It was a little odd to see The Punisher in a room with the Fantastic Four and The Avengers, as I wouldn't have thought they'd have just let him hang out, but overall this was about what you'd expect. A little predictable, but fun.

Actually a pretty engaging read. I've started to really enjoy the Fantastic Four. I shouldn't be surprised since I enjoy familial themes so much and the FF are the quintessential superhero family, but thanks to the movies, they always seemed kind of... ridiculous. And the little bit I'd read of them when they appeared in other comics seemed... equally ridiculous. That said, there is still quite a bit with Fantastic Four that stretches my suspension of disbelief even further than Mr. Fantastic could stand (namely how overpowered Franklin is), but the characterization and the overall "we're going on a comic book adventure" feel of the FF recently has been so on-point, that I really don't care. That said, this comic focused less on the FF and instead on a dangerous fungus attacking the Marvel Universe. It was equal parts horror and action and gave some second-tier, non-Avenger heroes (like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Moon Night) some time to shine. Worth the read, especially at only 112 pages.

Contagion Review:

Contagion is a 5 mini series event from Marvel that actually just happened very recently. An event that also just happened for some reason. It just came out of nowhere and it was forgotten very fast as well. It is an event that is sort of similar to a DC story called DCEASED.

This event is very forgettable, although there is some decent parts to it. Like the art is quite good here and it was nice to see street level heroes deal with it. But this is one of those events that could have been better if it was longer or has atleast a tie-in to it. Because there are no consequences here.

It sort just happened and it just ended apparently. A lot of things happened off screen and there is some potential here, but it was wasted. It is a quick read though and also forgettable. So overall, Contagion isn't that good, but has a few decent parts to it, but still a forgettable event.

4.5/10

WOW!!!!!!!!!! This limited series deserves 10 stars! Underpublicized, somehow I stumbled across it, so very glad I did. This is what the best of Marvel's best have always been composed of: A dangerous villain threatening the world, Marvel heroes working together, stars and guest stars yet not overdone, one main tale and threat that everyone battles against in a fight that doesn't go on forever. And a happy ending? Thank you Ed Brisson and crew for one of the best things I've read since The Wedding of Reed and Sue! Now can you point Ben, Magico, Moon Knight and crew at the Covid virus? (And give Jessica some chill pills, she's waaaayyy too hyper/bossy/out-of-control.)

It’s fine. Nothing super compelling here, but the roster of characters is fun and the plot takes some interesting turns.

The art is a little inconsistent when zooming out on characters, but overall it was solid. Other than that minor quibble, the book feels like it could have been written a lot better today, now that we’ve actually been through a pandemic. The book pretty much glosses over what civilians are up to and it doesn’t follow clear rules for its’ own virus.

A good story with my only complaint being I kind of wish the fungi monster looked more scary. As in the story the monster just looked like the generic green slime thing you can find in many other stories. But still I liked the focus on Thing and the more street level heroes. As we rarely see them handle a threat on this level.

Really kinda meh.

It's hard to do a story about some disease or other pandemic or catastrophe in a comic book universe since you know everyone that might initially be threatened will come out okay by the last page. At least a story that will engage the reader and make her think things might be as dire as they are portrayed.

The Thing runs into a fungus released from Kun Lun. It takes out the FF and the Avengers, leaving Ben with a fun bunch of B listers. It's all fun, especially for Moon Knight fans, but the end is rushed. Needed one more issue.

Great build up, the first three issues are great and the fourth is pretty good. Thing is when we get to the last issue its just doesn't work for me. It all gets cleaned up a little bit to easily

Roteiro ruim e que não faz muito sentido. Uma história totalmente desnecessária.

Good starting point, with a particularly well written Thing, but with an already many times seen ending. Looks like a fast cooked answer to DCeased.

Decent Marvel crossover event. Well, just one book, but multiple characters from multiple other books appear. But nothing too exciting.
