A Twist in Time

Rate this book
Judy Lambini, a young career woman, is flung backward through time and crash-lands in the Middle Ages, clutching a tote bag filled with her life's essentials--from makeup and razor to laptop and cell phone. All of which are either useless or quickly used up, and all of which seem tangible proof of her sorcery. Only one man believes Judy Lambini is not a witch, and his faith in her wins her heart. But is their love strong enough to hold her in that distant time and place?

Andrew of Laycock, a landless knight in need of a well-dowered bride, finds himself smitten with a wandering waif who has no kin, let alone a dowry. She speaks oddly, clothes herself like a boy, and carries a satchel filled with curious devices. Judith claims to come from a future Andrew cannot truly fathom. But as she's made her way to him through the centuries, he vows never to lose her, not to another man nor even to another age.

I have to admit I thought the first few pages were slow for me, it took a bit for me to get into it. It has been a while since romance novels were my choice. I did expect when Judith disappeared to another time that we would read some back and forth chapters, what was happening in the time from which she disappeared. That was all saved up for the final chapter and abbreviated.
It might be interesting to have another novel about Andrews years of waiting.

I enjoyed the novel and was impressed that it was written so well with so few main characters.

I will be lending it to a friend and think she will also enjoy it.

I enjoyed this story, hence the four stars. It highlighted how much we are dependent on our modern day accessories and some parts of the story made me laugh. Especially the one about the nits. The ending took me completely by surprise. I would recommend this book for taking on a journey or sitting round the pool on holiday. Very easy reading.

A Twist in Time

I chose a rating of five stars..Although in the beginning and the middle of was tired of Judith...Her smart mouth was constant..She was going to consider Philip...But the ending was good and tearful...But it did connect both worlds.

loved it.. I'm not into writing long pieces about books and going into every character and their flaws. I will say I loved Judy and how real she was. Try this book you won't regret it. x x
