I knew I was broken and I never planned on being fixed. Let alone, meeting a man just as crazy as myself, and he being the one to find and glue my pieces back together. But you know what they say, crazy likes company. And oh boy does it. He is saving me, in more ways than one. When zombies seem to be the newest bit of crazy in my life, he takes me back to the one place I vowed never to return. Wonder and land.
*Dark Romance on Alice and Hatter in a Dystopian novella fairytale romance series!* *Do not need to read in order, each fairytale will have same theme and meet throughout the series* *Contains graphic language, hot as Hell sexual situations, and some trigger warnings. 18+ readers.*
I write dark romance for readers who crave stories without soft edges.
My books explore obsession, control, and morally corrupt love—the kind that isn’t meant to be safe, healthy, or redemptive. The men in my stories are ruthless, possessive, and unapologetically cruel, and the heroines who survive them are forced to decide whether escape is possible… or even desired.
If you’re looking for gentle romance, my books are not for you.
I specialize in extreme bully romance, reverse harem dynamics, and high-heat relationships where power imbalances are intentional and unavoidable. Expect emotional destruction, toxic attraction, and characters who love violently and without remorse.
Most of my work is written for Kindle Unlimited readers who want long, binge-worthy reads they can’t put down once they start. My stories are designed to be consumed in marathon sessions, with escalating tension, obsession, and consequences that carry across multiple books.
Dolls and Douchebags is available as a complete five-book collection for readers who want the full descent without interruption.
If dark romance is your comfort genre—and you believe love stories don’t need to be clean to be compelling—you’re in the right place.
The moment an Alice in Wonderland inspired story lands on my dashboard, timeline or wherever, you can bet it ends up on my wishlist. If that book is then offered for free, there is absolutely no reason anymore not to get it. And if the O.W.L.'s as part of the Magical Readathon then ask me to read a book with less than 150 pages it is the perfect excuse to actually read it.
I have to admit that I needed a little time to get into the story. There was a lot happening in the first few chapters and it didn't really click yet. I don't mind that, especially not with a short story, because good things come to those who wait. And in this case that was absolutely true. The more I read, the more things started to unfold and the more plot surfaced.
This story contains a lot of explicit and hot sex scenes with BDSM elements. At first I was afraid that they would completely take over the story or would be the story, but luckily that was not the case. We got the chance to get to know Alice and her Hatter better and to get a better feel of their personalities, the lives they had had and what they saw in each other and needed from each other. And the moment I had all that clear, I also started to enjoy the sex scenes more. Because they fitted Alice and her Hatter perfectly.
Just like I started to see the plot better too, which made the story way more enjoyable. It's quite a dark tale and I can imagine that quite a few people will find their triggers in this short story. However, I think the concept is interesting, the world is really intriguing and I'm really curious to read the sequel, because I'm pretty sure there's gonna be one.
I’ll have what she’s having…minus the zombies and end of the world! LOL! Madeline Fay introduces readers to Alice and Hatter. Then throws in a “strange disease” that begins making its way through the masses, and then BOOM! Zombie outbreak and the end of the world! Good news is…she’s in good hands. He’s mad, but he’ll not do her wrong. Not My Cup of Tea Alice is one crazy ride of a story and I loved every second of it! The author takes us back and forth between the past and the present so that we can both get to know these two crazy characters and get a better understanding of what they are. They’re just too crazy humans, who were dealt a nasty hand by life. A mental institute as teens?! Subjected to intense “therapy,” that was nothing more than torture, and a rambling warning about the world burning from a fellow patient. Hatter is one clever guy! Honestly, I love that “Alice” isn’t even her real name, but it is the name that she has taken on. You can tell that these two are meant to be together. They balance each other out and feed each other’s craziness at the same time. Get ready for lots of steamy, kinky, and panty-soaking sex! These two spark a fire in each other that just can’t be put out! Their connection isn’t sweet, romantic and butterflies…it’s hot, dominating and pain mixed with pleasure. I just couldn’t get enough of it. So get ready for some steamy scenes that will have you needing a cold shower or a time out for yourself. There honestly isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. The pace is well done, and the author does an excellent job letting readers know when there is a change in the timeline (past, present and when she skips ahead). For those who don’t like cliffhangers…just get ready because this book has one, but it’s nothing crazy of where the author leaves the characters in danger and you’re suddenly raging “what happens next?!” I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I loved every second of this book. It’s excellently done and I can’t wait for more. For those who don’t like steamy sex and cliffhangers…just walk away from this book. Don’t mar it for those who enjoy this kind of stuff. For those who love this author and love kink, steam and more…grab this book and dive in! You’ll love this dystopian erotic twist on Alice in Wonderland.
I loved this book. I was hooked on it from the moment that I started reading.
It moved along at an amazing pace that was not to fast nor to slow but the perfect speed to enjoy reading the book. The characters are amazing and by the end of the book you feel as though you know them each personally.
This book is a must read there is no doubt about it. You will not be sorry that you did and you will be recommending it to all your friends. This has to be on your TBR list for the summer.
Madeline Fay’s, Not My Cup of Tea Alice is awesomely spicy, wickedly crazy and frantically paced. Hatter and Alice are delightful and their story is manic, passionate and vivid. It’s written very well, full of smart sass and sharp wit. It’s very deserving of a 5 star rating. Read the warning at the start and then if you’re in, jump in and get ready for a hell of a journey to Wonder and Land. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the references to Alice and the Mad Hatter. Very intriguing, sensual, and, HOTT. I loved the love, passion, intensity, and quirkiness. And I loved how Hatter was like her crazy, manical, knight in shining armor. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow book lover friends and family. Can't wait to read the other books in this series.
Holy bleeding hearts. That’s a touch of mad and a mad dash of sexy. Alice faces a lot but with such madness on her side she can’t go wrong. Her story kept me pulled into the wonder and land of the book. I can’t wait I see what she does to get her revenge.
I've read this author previously and loved her work, so naturally, my expectations were pretty high, but this book exceeded them all. When I started this book, I loved it immediately, and by the time I finished, I knew this was going to be one of my favourite series of all times. It was perfect, everything about it was perfect. And extra hot and spicy explicit. And there is a lot of violence, and zombies. I've already known that the author's writing is very engaging, but I had no idea she was this good in explicit sexy stuff, as well. That was a special bonus. Even if this book has a label of erotic tales, and there is a lot of sexy stuff in here, it is not what makes this book so special. It is the incredible and original plot that makes it so amazing. The author took a couple of characters from Wonderland, namely Alice and Hatter, dropped them in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and left them to fend for themselves. Not that their lives were wonderful before the zombies came. The author preserved the poetic fairy tale writing style in their interaction, dialogues and internal monologues. This simply infuses magic into the story, and two everyday people become something else. Or maybe it is their inner strength and unbreakable spirit, or the fact that they found each other. They are both broken, as a result of what happened to them individually, but then they come together and mend each other's broken pieces, making each other stronger and better. Their dialogues are a thing of beauty, two innocent souls corrupted by darkness from the outside world who found peace within each other, and found the way to channel their darkness into passion, just wow. And their partnership is unprecedented. I think it's superfluous, but I will mention it anyway, the characters are developed to perfection. The world the author has created here is vivid, detailed, and scary, and I am not even referring to the Zombies. The story jumps from present to past and back throughout the whole book, which adds to the atmosphere, plot, and gives a better understanding of the characters, and the world they are situated in. The ending is fantastic, leading into the next story that cannot come soon enough. This was truly a treat, which I've enjoyed immensely, and re-read it numerous times. I cannot thank the author enough for writing this series. The story continues in Destruction of Bella (Dystopian Fairytale Series Book 2), which was announced.
This book was set to be a novella in a set of books so I understand the frantic pace at which the story goes. The overall theme is a very dark very NC 17 retelling of Alice in wonderland, wonderland being the Wonder and Land asylum where Hatter and Alice originally meet. Unfortunately you don’t figure this out until deeper into the book so you start off pretty discombobulated by what’s going on. Now the city is falling into the hands of zombies (!!) and survival is a must. The story follows Hatter and Alice through their apocalypse shenanigans and has a fantastic finale that leads straight into the next book The Destruction of Bella. A little backstory would have definitely filled the gaps and made the book feel less disjointed but again it was suppose to be a novella so word count may have mattered. I wish there had been as much character and setting detailing in the story as there was to the sex, which were no joke and too hot to handle! Worthy of 4 stars to me
This was the first book by Madeline Fay I'd read and I was hooked by the second page! The character development is phenomenal as is the world-building. She has a way of sucking you into the story and bringing her characters alive, so much so that I felt like I'd known them my entire life. This dark and twisted take on a classic story is by far one of my favorites, even though I'm not a fan of zombies.
I absolutely love it when authors take a well known book / fairytale and then put their spin on it and this novella about Alice is super hot , violent and has zombies!!! It’s well written and you are hooked straight away and Alice and Hatter are just fantabulous with their crazy and their madness! Twisted and dark I just wish this was a little longer and I can’t wait to read more in this series!
This book is a mind f*** and so good . Alice and Hatter can you say HOTT ,STEAMY , WILD, SEXY and of course psycho time . They’re gonna bring down the evil Bastard that brought them down . Can’t wait for the next book.
Flippin Awesome!! This book is wicked. Alice and Hatter are both broken. But together their crazy is sexy and wild. The chemistry between them is mind blowingly AWESOME. They are after revenge of the Doc who broke them and stole something Alice and Hatter want back! Will these two sexy psyco's get what they want? Will they find what was taken? This book kept me on my toes and kept my attention from start to finish. Looking forward to reading Book 2 Destruction of Bella when it's published!! THIS IS A MUST READ YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
Oh my goodness I’m in love with Alice and the Hatter! Their story was so hot!!!! Two imperfect crazy souls meant for one another. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down.

Absolutely love this different, twisted version of Alice! It's a little dark but oh so good! Highly recommend it! And CANNOT wait for the rest of the series!

Alice and hatter (mattie) are a match made in physco heaven hahaha.i enjoyed this book, but would have loved more back ground on them both, but still liked what I read.both of there up bringings were hard, but they just embraced who they were, not caring what anyone else thought,I can’t wait for the rest of these stories
Well written, and I absolutely adored the character development, but it really felt like something was missing. The lovin’ was super hot, and I absolutely adored Hatter, I love the way his character developed, but I kinda felt like the two year gap was a big, blank space, and the ending was a little abrupt.
When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Madeline Fay is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.
A cup full of Slightly twisted characters, add a splash of exquisitely bloody acts, a lot more than spoonful of super sexy scenes and you’ve brewed the perfect cup of madness! Read it!!!
Dude. This was the perfect read! Hatter and Alice compliment each other so well. They have that once in a lifetime love that will get you through the toughest of times and come out smiling.
I picked this up because I'm instantly interested in any sort of Alice in Wonderland retelling or reimagining. Well, that's not what happens here.
She is called Alice, his nickname is Hatter and the insane asylum they were at is called the Wonder and Land institute, but that is literally it. I do wonder why the author bothered having any link at all.
This is basically erotica that is not, in my opinion, even remotely erotic. Their first encounter within the first 10 or so pages is totally random and there is zero characterisation, back story and so much just doesn't make sense as there is barely any detail.
I could be more specific, but it's honestly not worth my time.
I can't even say this is a good example of a book with just loads of mindless sex, as I was just eye rolling the whole way through.
I got really, really bored of being told how mad and crazy they both were, but I didn't really see anything that truly indicated this beyond some cheesy insane asylum flashbacks and the fact that they were both a bit violent.
What can I say about this book beyond it's amazing and I highly recommend it? Well, firstly, it's a darkly erotic remake of Alice in Wonderland. Enough. Freaking. Said. I love how unhinged Alice is because Hatter is her counterpoint. It's in their craziness that they connect. Alice has been searching or someone who could understand her, and bless Hatter's black heart, he does. He does. This short story will surely make you laugh and maybe make you need to find a battery-operated friend.
And it’s Alice and Hatter. This book was great and all, but I was expecting a stand-alone and that it is not. This may be the end of Alice & Hatter’s story as we move on to another couple, but there is an overall story arc that has been left incomplete. So, if you are looking for a series to start, I’d say definitely check this out, but if you are wanting a true stand-alone, put this one on the back burner until you’re ready for a series.
Two characters twisted and mad. A hatter and his Alice. A wickedly good time. It was HOT and so steamy. The crazy level is high, it was a exciting edge of my seat read. Two hearts that beat as one. I loved the way they played off each other.
