This is a brightly coloured board book for babies and toddlers which encourages them to look for dinosaurs hidden behind soft felt fabric flaps. Little ones will enjoy the fun hide-and-seek dinosaur game. There is a stegosaurus, T-Rex, diplodocus, triceratops and the final page has a mirror so that the child can spot themselves.

Young readers will enjoy the cute and colourful dinosaur characters and parents will like how strong and sturdy the book is. The felt flaps are tougher than the usual card or paper ones so the baby or toddler can lift them by themselves without the adult worrying about damaging the book.

Little brother LOVES dinosaurs and chose this book himself! He can’t read yet but he knows all the dinosaur’s names & can shout them out as we read aloud to him. Now we’ve started reading it with baby brother too – he loves the bright colours and always smiles when he sees his reflection in the mirror at the end of the story.

Little brothers’ score: 5/5 🦖

I recently read "Where's Mrs. T-Rex?" by Ingela P. Arrhenius and thought it was an adorable book. At the old preschool where I used to work, we taught the students about dinosaurs and extinction, so I have a special love for dinosaurs. This book is very simple and is definitely designed for babies-2 year olds. It features a fun hide-and-seek adventure where children can lift the flaps to discover various dinosaurs hidden on each page.

The vibrant and bold illustrations by Ingela P. Arrhenius capture their imagination, making each page turn a visual treat for babies and young toddlers. This book also helps improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they lift the flaps to find the dinosaurs.

Overall, "Where's Mrs. T-Rex?" is a cute and simple book that is beautifully illustrated that combines fun with learning and makes it an excellent addition to any baby or toddler bookshelf.

I really like the idea of having felt flaps because there's a chance they will hold up better than paper flaps. I experimentally pulled on the felt and it can definitely be yanked out with enough force. Definitely need to emphasize being gentle with books. I don't like the indented circle on the front of the book with the felt because though it is circular, it can be sharp for little fingers. However, I LOVE the bright colors, patterns and that all the dinosaurs end up together at the end of the book with the mirror. Thank you to Nosy Crow for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

One of the better books in the "Where's..." series. This book features four dinosaurs and names them. It's interesting that the Diplodocus has its legs and tail exposed, while its neck and head are hidden behind a large tree. The mirror on the last page is a surprise for the little ones. However, adding 'Mr' and 'Mrs.' to the animals seems too stereotypical and unnecessary.

Short and fun for young toddlers. Follows the format of the books in the series: felt flaps reveal the answer to the questions posed ending with a mirror for the reader to see themself as the response to the final question.
