This is a Children's Book that I read to my twin boys. I just do not see the point to this children's book, but the pictures are very cute. I won a kindle edition of this book from a goodreads giveaway.
Thank you for letting us review this book. The illustrations are good and the kids enjoyed seeing some of their favorite characters (Katniss!). I didn't feel like it read smoothly. I counted six times where the word "yes" was used and that was a bit excessive in my opinion. Also, it was probably meant to be cutesy , but "he lost it and now he don't see right" drives me crazy. My little one said , "shouldn't it be doesn't?" Overall, the story was OK.
I holiday book in which the central theme is the various costumes children dressed up in. The author attempted to write in such a way that it was easy to read and follow...but there wasn't a true rhyme pattern or a repetition a child could join along with. At best you could have a conversation about the holiday, the costumes, the illustrations and make predictions of what they thought would appear on the next page.
I received this through the goodreads giveaway program.
Thank you to goodreads and the publisher for this free giveaway win.
This was a cute, Halloween book that is perfect for kids. The illustrations were cute and very well done. As a new mom, I am always looking for new books to add to my daughters shelf!
I won this book as a goodreads giveaway kindle edition. The illustrations were great! I think the title and storyline could have been stronger. Started out with the reason for making noise, then dived into the kids and their costumes. Seemed a little disjointed. Some of the description of the kids and costumes were fun...like the ghost, vampire, angels and devil, but the others were lacking that simple, easy, rhyming charm that kids love. Overall, it's a good book to read with kids....has lots of costume ideas and discussion prompts!
The illustrations were really cute. The text included rhyme, but no real rhyme scheme. This would be very difficult to read aloud to a child and seemed to be missing a plot. I won this book via a Goodreads giveaway, sponsored by the author. Thanks for the opportunity to read this book.
