“To the victor go the spoils.” What an amazing and remarkable ending! I was curious and intrigued to the series’ outcome, and was not disappointed. It has been a wonderful and incredible journey, starting with Elixr, Redeemr and now Destroyr. Each and every premise an excellent accomplishment. It had pulled me in from the beginning, the protagonists and the rest of the characters are so well defined, a great world building, with a unique storyline! It could be catalogued within the YA, but I loved it! Looking forward to reading more books from this wonderful author!
The first book, Elixr, was interesting and carried me well to its end. The second, Redeemr, did not fare as well and the storyline for me began to unravel about halfway through. I lost my focus, the characters became less distinct instead of better defined, and the overall tone for the books became darker and less clear. I stuck with it until the realization that I no longer cared who won, and stopped before reaching the last book. I should have quit with book 1.
Weird and unusual . Took to nigh_on book two make sense of the various articles that were being woven together to make up the whole story . Book three was far to short compared the first two . But still enjoyed.r
Not brilliant! Writing a bit off with quite a few continuity errors, could improve with good editing. That being said, I did finish the series, hence the three stars.
This is an unique storyline! It was very well written. The characters were very charismatic and fully developed. It was a little of a slow start but then it kicked into warp drive and never slowed down! Noah and Will and Tai were drawn together and meant to be. There were bad guys that were so well developed you luved to hate them. Who were these two strange brothers? They grew up on a spaceship all alone except for a strange teacher bot who told them they had to complete the mission but not what the mission was. What had happened to their parents and the rest of the crew? Why were they forbidden to go to the back of the ship? Find out all the answers in this excellent book. Highly recommended for all ages,!
A nice YA space tale. I wasn't certain what to expect when I started this. I believe I was anticipating a more involved and heavier saga but the early story was written well enough to pique my curiosity and held it through to the finish. Kudos! If you're looking for some light reading to fill in a few hours, this may be the answer. I feel it is definitely angled toward a younger audience but it was not a primary reader. It will keep your attention even if you've been raised on slicker stuff such as Howard or Asimov. So, yeah. Take a break and enjoy!
Whom ever reviewed or edited the text needs to take better care of actually correcting mistakes. As a professional technical engineering writer, everything my team produced had to pass two if not three editorial reviews in addition to the engineering reviews.
I suggest getting a different editor for your next book.
The 1st book was very good and a mystery novel at the same time as sci-fi. The rest of the books were not as good and seems somewhat repetitive. Every once in a while there would be an astonishing revelation but these were few and far between.
I got this e-book from Amazon📚 with Kindle unlimited. I listen to these long series with the text to speech feature found in all amazon books.
As the plot progressed, the action got more complicated and the characters more confusing. It seemed that large unknown group of facts was missing but the book had good dialogue and descriptions.
Noah and Will were raised to complete one mission…deliver the cure. They didn’t even know what it meant but as they stumbled their way through surviving they managed to do what they set out to do but it could cost them their lives. Tons of action, twists and turns. Fabulous read!
Easy to read without being simplistic. A few good twists. The good guys aren’t all good, the bad guys are more than a cardboard cutout, and the heroes aren’t perfect.
Got through this trilogy in 3 days. That means I found it very engaging. I found it to be well written with an excellent pace. Loved the characters nice and easy to read.
Overall I thought this was a decent story but the writing was a tad disappointing. It seemed like it was either hastily written or was aimed at a teen/preteen level. I guess I understand that now after reading his explanation at the end.
Really enjoyed reading books one through three of this series. Really full of action and suspense. Highly recommend reading. Looking forward to reading more by Joshua James.
I enjoyed this 3 book series box set. It had fun characters, good plot , and a entertaining storyline. Joshua James books are always a fun read and this one did not disappoint.
Five stars is for a perfect story, which I'm sure doesn't exist.. This is the next best thing.. It's imaginative and fun to read.. The characters are believable and interesting.. I'm looking forward to reading about Lucky, which I already own..
Good charecters, intressting story and some action. What more do you need. I would recomend to anyone who likes science fiction with thought behind it.
Engaging & believable characters. A mind cinema graphic and grand. Would like to have had more development of Tai,implications are she is not as nebulous
An ok read although it took a while to get to the end of book 1. In fact if I had not bought the trilogy in one go I probably would not have purchased the 2nd book which would have been unfortunate. I always prefer to know a lot of the back story to enable me to have a good read. the 2nd book started to fill in both the backstory and to start explaining the concepts. The majority of the 'action' comes in the 3rd book and more than makes up for the slow read of the previous two overall the author concocted a good read.
The story is very good. It gets lost from time to time. Has a villain that just won't die (something that tends to get old. I don't like it...). In general a good well written story.
