The Three Kiss Clause #1

The Three Kiss Clause

Rate this book
Cormac Delaney was everything I hated about men—arrogant, smug and condescending, but he was also everything my body responded to—gorgeous, tall, brooding, and confident. Oh, and he happened to be a partner at the publishing company I was trying to get signed to. My book—“Fu*#$@Boys”—about how men are selfish, sex-crazed pigs—was one vote away from being published—his vote. But not only did he hate my book, he asked me a question that would change things between us forever:

“How can you be an expert on men when you’ve never been in a real relationship?”

He had a point, but I wasn’t about to let him know. Instead I did what any self-respecting writer and podcaster would do—I proposed a radical social experiment. Cormac and I would live together for one month as boyfriend and girlfriend. If he could change my mind about men I’d withdraw my book. If not, he’d agree to publish it.

My only condition? No sex, or anything physical, whatsoever.

I never thought he’d go for it, but I guess I was wrong about him, in more ways than one. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Cormac Delaney, even if he is easy on the eyes. . .fine, he’s good looking. . .alright, he’s hot as hell, but still! To do this I’m going to have to remind myself of a few things: we’re only an experiment, nothing more. He’s not the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen in my life, he absolutely does not have a body that makes me tingle in all the right places, and I’m never, under any circumstances, going to let myself fall for him. . .

Right?”

‘What I’m not: the radical feminist, man-hating bitch I’ve been accused of being more times than I can count.

What I am: a strong, fierce, ambitious woman who isn’t afraid to speak her truth for the world to hear, and to inspire other women to do the same.’

The Three Kiss Clause by Christopher Harlan was not only a great romance, it also had hilarious one liners and a great message about stereotyping. The writing was engaging, flawless and full of humorous banter, as well as scorching chemistry. We really enjoyed Tori and Cormac’s ‘fake boyfriend’ story which was told in dual pov’s, so flawlessly. Can an experiment between a publisher and potential new Author prove just why a ‘controversial’ book should be published?

‘Whichever way this whacky thing goes, at the very least, maybe I can show her that not all guys are total assholes.’

Well Tori was one sweet but emotionally messed up girl despite her success as a ‘man-hating’ podcaster, vlogger and social media queen. Whilst we absolutely understood the foundation of her thought process and what stemmed from there, she didn’t exactly endear herself to us to begin with. Rather, she put us off with her generalisations and the way she came across as arrogantly dismissive of those who disagreed or questioned her. However, we did not let her –at times– hypocrisy defeat us as we were too intrigued and knew there had to be a valid reason. It’s so easy tar everyone by the same brush and not practice what you preach, isn’t it?!

“You’re doing that thing you do again.”
“What thing?”
“Assumptions. You are making a lot of them.”

Tori’s ‘bloke banter’ and observational behaviour with her bessie mate, Shoshana was at times exactly what she criticised men for; the sexualisation of the opposite sex. Whilst it did grate on us in parts, some of it was spot on, so by the time we truly got to know Tori and connected with her character, we understood her core message and her aim to be a positive supporter of women. Her humility and her sense of honesty was very refreshing.

‘I think I might not hate our little three kiss clause after all.’

Cormac Delaney was so easy to like, a gorgeous man through and through with a heart of honest gold. He wasn’t without his own insecurities and sometimes abrupt manner. However, he was definitely one of the good guys and we fell in love with him and how real he came across with no unnecessary dramatics or over the top behaviour.

“The greatest danger in the world is seeing only one story – seeing a person for only one thing.”

We have to say that our absolute favourite character in The Three Kiss Clause was Tori’s best mate, Shoshana! That girl had us in stitches throughout the entire story. Everyone needs a friend where you have absolutely no way of guessing what she’ll say next. Fun-loving, infectious sarcastic humour and an unrivalled loyalty and sense of right, Shoshana was our kind of girl. She stole every scene she was in!

‘Crap, maybe she does have a point about us men. She’s trying to wipe her water-spit combo off my freshly dry-cleaned shirt and I’m taking it like some kind of kinky foreplay. I’m a sick bastard.’

We really enjoyed this romantic comedy from Christopher Harlan and definitely hope he writes more. If and when he does we’ll be first in line to read it, especially if it’s Shoshana’s story, fingers crossed! The Three Kiss Clause was so very sexy, so very sweet and so very funny leaving us with huge smiles on our faces.

‘I learned that it’s not just women who can be self-assured badasses – there are some great men out there who balance out all the shit heads like my ex, and all the exes out there. I learned that some of the qualities in men that I used to roll my eyes at aren’t always bad.’

love stories that leave me with such swoony feelings. This is my first book that I've read from this author and it leaves me wanting to read more. I'm a big lover of Rom Com and this story is exactly a big example of why I love it so much! It was sweet, sexy and makes the soul happy!
I really enjoyed Harlan's crafty character's who made me chuckle at all their banter, inhale heavily with worry, and gleefully screech with excitement. I loved Tori's ambition and Cormac's kind heart. These two will have you swept off your feet quickly and never wanting it to end!

Tori have learned to not trust men. Unfortunately her first real long term boyfriend was a big jerk. Her bestfriend Shosh is such a character. I love that she gave Tori the biggest dildo she could find. This book had me laughing so many times.

Cormac is a book publisher. He has had an author use him and then break his heart. He meets Tori at a pitch for her new book. As soon as they see eachother they have an instant attraction. He sees Tori as a woman who hates men and Tori sees him as another jerk. They agree to an experiment to try to change eachother point of view.

Christopher Harlan outdid himself with this one. Every book gets better and better. He understands a woman point of view very well. Thankyou for having me on your arc team. Definitely one of my favorite authors.

I loved this book. It was a great rom com that will have you laughing and swooning. Tori and Cormac were so good together. The chemistry that they had was so hot and intense. The attraction that they tried to fight but couldn’t was so much fun to watch. I have read several books from Christopher Harlan and I just love his work more with each book that I have read. I can’t wait to read more. You won’t be disappointed with this book. Highly recommend it.

After being told “No” by Cormac Delaney to have her book published, Tori Klein has a month to change his mind!

Her experiment for Cormac to be her “Fake Boyfriend “ was to prove to him that guys really do think with their little heads.

Little does she know that her experiment will change them both in ways they never expected!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again!
Christopher Harlan can write Anything!

This is such a very different story from what Christopher usually writes and I love that he changed it up.
Cormac is not a push over and Tori def won't be doing any pushing...
These two butt heads at every turn, but they both have points to prove and its fun reading them go back and fourth. I loved the banter between these two.

This was such a cute rom-com. I love how a romance can leave your heart all swoony and full. I’m fairly new to Christopher’s writing but this was the best I’ve read so far. It’s what romance is all about. The insta hot chemistry. The quick funny banter. The slow build sexual tension. The swoony romance. This book had all that. It was just a great romantic comedy.

What a book! Christopher Harlan has done it again with his latest book the Three Kiss Clause.
This book is full of sexy banter and great chemistry between the two main characters Tori and Cormac. This is Christopher's first romantic comedy and it does not disappoint. It will have you hooked. You will laugh out loud on more than one occasion and come to love the characters as you get sucked into the story! There isn't a dull moment; you won't be able to put it down!!
Great job!

“No, Tori, I don’t think all women want to kiss me, but I do know that you want to kiss me.”

“Three kisses,” he says. “I want three kisses.”
“Huh?” I ask, not believing my ears.
“I get to kiss you-or you get to kiss me, three times over the course of this little experiment. They can be short or long, whatever you feel like. They can be for show in front of friends and family, I don’t really care. But I want three kisses from you over the four weeks.”

“Took your meth before coming here, I see.”
“I’m high on life. Don’t be a hater.”

“I hate to tell you, Cormac, but there is no perfect novel. It’s a myth. Don’t chase it or you’ll never finish.”

The greatest danger in the world is seeing only one story-seeing a person for only one thing.

This was a hilarious book. It has a great message about stereotypes. It was engaging, full of banter, wit, and scorching chemistry. The chemistry was hot and intense. So many swoony moments. There wasn’t a dull moment. I was completely hooked from page one. 4.75 stars.

This is a Hoarders review
The Three Kiss Clause had me at the books name. I honestly loved this romantic comedy. Overcoming fears and learning to compromise to see one another's point of view while having a wicked sense of humor. Both characters gave as good as they got and it was refreshing and exciting! This was my first book by this author. But it definitely will not be my last. Loved his style of writing.

The first thing I did was look up the word F*ckboy.. and started on a good note because its an actual word! I started laughing from the very beginning.

You will find it very easy to relate to Tori. She is confident yet suffers from insecurities like most of us do and preaches the idea of who needs men but deep down thinks about the possibilities of finding an actual prince in a pond full of toads! Cormac is refreshing, he is your "TYPICAL" guy but with a splash of honesty and emotions.

I really enjoyed the cat and mouse chase between them, its a cross between a game of chest and twister!! You may start out wanting a "Boyfriend Without Benefits" to walking away thinking of more.

This is my favorite book I've read from Christopher Harlan to date. I really enjoyed this book, It is light, funny and full of chemistry. He also proved that he is a versatile writer.

P.S. Shoshana needs her own book!

Great reliable characters. Strong proud characters not willing to back down from Theo own views. After a fake trial relationship they discover that maybe their views of the opposite sex may not be correct. Heart warming and sweet. I would love to read more about their love story. Well written!

Fall in love with Cormac and Tori!!

The Three Kiss Clause is so different from the first few books I've read of Christopher Harlan. It was a nice change for him. I love the way Cormac and Tori banter back and forth through the book. They each have a point to prove. And the way they go about it makes them each see the others point of view to a degree. It also has them changing their minds from what their original opinions had been. This book also proves that you can't always believe things on the surface. You have to understand and be willing to listen and see things from another point of view. An amazing romcom. I highly recommend you read this book. Once you do, you will be looking for more books from him. Christopher Harlan never disappoints. Bravo Christopher for another amazing 5 star read

Sweet, Romantic and Funny

The Three Kiss Claus is a beautiful, romantic and funny story. We meet Tori, a feminist and social media celebrity who base her programs on the male species, everything that is wrong with them.

On the other hand we get Cormac, handsome, successful and he believes Tori is an extremist with the content of her vlog and channel.

This two get together for an experiment trying to prove the other wrong, they just didn't count on finding love at the same time. They're both very stubborn but I think Tori wins the title.

This book is sweet, romantic, a little frustrating at times but overall it's beautiful watching this two characters finding themselves and then enjoying each other.

It was my first book by Christopher Harlan, but I'm sure it won't be the last one.

For this being Christopher Harlan’s debut romcom I am highly impressed. I have been a fan for a while. Having read some of his other books, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Don’t get me wrong there is always humor somewhere in almost every book but a romantic comedy isn’t just a scene here and there. It is a whole other level. How do I judge if a romcom is a hit?? When my kids are asking me what’s so funny because I can’t contain my laughter. Did The Three Kiss Clause met or exceed these expectations? YES!! My youngest came in from another room to ask what I watching cause he could hear me two rooms away. So I guess you could say Harlan nailed it.

Harlan has already proven he is a true storyteller and this just adds another sub genre notch to his belt. The Three Kiss Clause has you laughing at stereotypes, and maybe even questioning if you generalize the opposite sex. Something I had truly never thought of until reading this book. Why?? I guess I should answer that question for you. One simple word or name, as it happens to be…Tori.

Tori is a woman on a mission. That mission is to get her book published. Tori is a huge female influencer. All about being a woman and not letting the men get you down, Tori’s book may just be a huge best seller. Just hearing about the book might get some feminist all ready to go and buy it, two of the three partners at a publishing company are all about publishing it. The third (and only male) doesn’t feel the same way. Tori has to figure out a way to get Cormac to see things her way.

Cormac doesn’t understand how a woman with such limited relationship experience can justify all the stereotypes that Tori has in her book. Quite frankly, he don’t want to publish it but knows that it would be good for his company. When Tori approaches him with an experiment that could possibly change one of their minds Cormac decides to join in. What ensues is nothing above hilarious, heartfelt, emotional, and mind changing. I know ya’ll didn’t really expect me to give you all the details, now did ya? I mean this is me after all and I did say this was a MUST read.

Keep an eye on Tori’s best friend. That woman is my spirit animal and so me!! And a little bird told me we might be seeing her again. I have my fingers crossed cause she is truly spectacular character.

When social media sensation Tori Klein pulls a meeting with representatives of a publishing house for her book, Fu*#$@Boys, she’s excited. That is until she meets partner Cormac Delaney, the man standing in her way of getting her book deal.
Cormac Delaney’s never heard of Tori Klein before, but apparently his two partners have, and they want to sign her. Her book, Fu*#$@Boys, is full of feminist drivel, and it’s apparent she’s never been in a serious relationship based on her book. How in world she ever thought that any man would want to publish her book is beyond his comprehension. Do women really think like this? Well, he’s not going to vote to publish it, that’s for sure.
After being turned down for a publishing deal outright, Tori comes up with a plan to get Cormac to like the book, or at least understand her. When she lays out the experiment, Cormac accepts. She’s now got 30 days to prove to him that she knows what she’s talking about before the partners meet again to discuss her book. It’s her final shot with the publishing house and she’s going to make this dream a reality.
This book is well written, has a funny plot, HEA, and some truly outstanding characters, my favorite, by far, is Shoshanna!
This is Mr. Harlan’s first rom-com and he’s hit it out of the park. I laughed out loud so many times, both my family and my pets look at me funny. I recommend this book to all those who love rom-coms and HEA’s. This book gives you all the feels and keeps you laughing until the end.
** I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I absolutely adored The Three Kiss Clause. It has a huge and powerful message for not judging a book by it's cover and giving people the benefit of the doubt. There were moments where I felt that this message was taken to the extreme and made me cringe a bit, I really liked the overall outcome of the book and the overall journey along the way. Cormac was definitely my kind of main man!

All in all, if you are looking for a romantic comedy that will have you laughing your butt off, reading about SUPER sexual tension, and make you swoon in other places, you should read The Three Kiss Clause right away- I give it a 4.5 outta 5 and recommend you checking it out!

PS: Thank you to Christopher Harlan and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

Tori has made a success of her social media career based on the foundation of girl power. She has created quite the following and has now decided to take her opinions to print however she has run into a brick wall at the publishing company whose name is Cormac.

Cormac doesn’t believe that her findings have any factual basis as she is inexperienced when it comes to men and relationships so he believes the book will fall flat. What he didn’t expect was that she would present him with an offer he couldn’t refuse which would be a learning experience that neither would forget.

The sarcasm and humor will have you laughing out loud, the romance will touch your heart and the characters will draw you in.

Tori has become famous on social media with her man bashing stories. She has lumped all men into the “men are pigs” category and is firm in that belief. When one of her fans, who is also a publisher, encourages her to write a book, FU*#$@boys is born. Cormac is the sole male partner at the publishing house and is not impressed with Tori’s generalizations about men and tells her so. Tori has one month to change his mind. They discover that the other has so many more layers than they first assumed.

This is a totally different style of book for Christopher Harlan and was fun to see him mix it up. Tori and Cormac made me laugh. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of Tori, the man hater, at first. I thought she was pretty cruel and judgmental. Once I got to know her better I realized she was projecting her fear onto all men. Cormac is arrogant and self-assured but over-all he was a good guy. The idea of the experiment made it even funnier. Totally recommend The Three Kiss Clause if you are looking for a fun read.

So. It does a decent job of making Cormac a typical guy. Not full on douchebag, but definitely the standard "not all men" guy. Intent on defending the men whose behavior was never in question. And Tori a little out to be offended and manipulative.

It kind of amuses me that when he describes his "ideal mate" or whatever, he sits there describing the physical aspects/chemistry and Tori's supposedly wow-ed and didn't expect his super deep response. #what

And Mr. Loves Foreplay, skips that part when it comes down to it. Or maybe I missed it. I guess it's possible I started skimming and didn't notice. Ya gotta be pretty un-invested in the characters for it to hit that level though

I dunno. They spent too much time finding ways to be offended by each other. Misunderstanding, upset and then suddenly fine. Literary whip lash

This is my first book by this author and I can guarantee it won’t be my last. This is a smart story told in such a clever way. Not only does it show different points of view. It’s feels like such a true story. By that, I mean, it makes you really think about your own perspectives on the relationships between men and women.
I don’t do spoilers because I feel it’s not fair to the author. You should read the blurb and then enjoy the book. Where’s the fun if I tell you what’s going on in the story?
What I will tell you is that I definitely fell in love with Cormac. One of my favorite parts of his character traits is, he’s real. Cormac is not over the top. Yes, he’s good looking and seems successful but he’s messy and has his own thoughts, ideas and insecurities. I think that’s one of my favorite parts of this book. As a woman I think I rarely think about the other gender having insecurities and seeing their point of view. We’re so focused on our preconceived ideas it’s sometimes hard to get past that.
Tori is, in my opinion, every girl or I’ll say many girls. She didn't come into the world jaded. It seems circumstances dictated her choices and ideas. She’s smart, beautiful and wants to empower women. The thing is she doesn’t see her own real beauty. Sometimes I think we look at people and we think they see what we see. Many times that’s not the case. We make decisions about people and who they are based on our own experiences and how we feel about ourselves. Much of the time it’s not accurate. We need someone to point out that what we feel many times in fact might not be so.
I so want to discuss the smartness of this lovely story. One of my favorite aspects of this book is that it’s easy to read, enjoyable and makes you think without it being too deep.
Don’t worry you get all the feels. You get the smiles, laughs, tears, the romance and the heat. You will also become acquainted with secondary characters that I fell in love with and adore. I want to know more about them. Cormac’s brother are their own kind of special and made me laugh and Shoshana is a trip! She’s the friend we all need. I’m really hoping the author follows up on these characters because I would love to read their stories.
As you can see I really enjoyed this book. It’s my firm belief that you will too. I will end like I started, out this is my first book by this author it will not be my last!

This book made me laugh and swoon, Cormac was my ultimate favorite. Tori is a very popular internet sensation with her blogs, vlog, podcasts, and maybe a new book deal. She is a firm believer men only think with one appendage and they can’t be taken serious and that they never want a committed relationship. All her followers agree and give her the fuel she needs to give them what they want time and time again. So, when she goes into a meeting with some publishers Cormac is the only one that asks the questions that I also agreed with and thinks her book is just spewing hatred for a certain gender. I’m not going to lie, but at the beginning of the book I really disagreed with Tori and thought she did come off as a manhater, but slowly as the book unfolds Cormac helps Tori see that not all men are the same and in turn Tori teaches Cormac a few things about women and their experiences in the dating scene. I did love that we got to see them both grow and turn the new things they learned from each other into positives. I thought this was a funny and cute read, also I loved Tori’s friend Shoshanna she kept Tori grounded and help see things from other perspectives.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. I liked how Mr. Harlan deviated from the norm and allowed us to sympathize with both sides of the argument. I actually found myself more inline with Cormac's views (except for one little part, and I have a feeling that it was unintentional. Definitely a must-read for all rom-com fans.

The Three Kiss Clause is my first book by this author but if the rest are anything like this smart and oh so funny story, it won’t be the last.
Cormac and Tori were quite a pair! Cormac is one of three partners in a publishing house. Tori’s a widely acclaimed and well known social influencer and feminist. She’s also on the threshold of becoming an author. Only Cormac stands in her way.
Cormac is gorgeous and sexy, a total man’s man, but he’s also a sweet and kind guy. He’s a little taken aback by the premise of Tori’s book and his initial reaction to letting his company publish it is… hell no!!
Tori needs to change his mind and thankfully is given the chance to. With only a month to do so, she comes up with a plan and has her work cut out convincing Cormac to do her bidding.
He agrees but with stipulations and a clause… the Three Kiss Clause.
It’s funny and sweet with two highly charismatic characters and their friends and family. I enjoyed this story, the push and pull and the snarky, sassy banter between the couple. Well worth a read for newbies and fans alike.

If you need a great book that will leave you laughing hysterically this is THE book! I love a great rom com but Christopher Harlan takes it to a whole new level. Is there anything he can't write? I truly don't think so. Bringing together a feminist author and a publisher is a match made in heaven, especially when they are trying to prove the other wrong lol. From the first page in this book until very last one I was laughing. Incredible storyline, phenomenal characters and the explanation of a "fuckboy" will make you read the book in one day. Christopher Harlan always amazes me with his versatility as an author. With this book he really taps into the females mind and I often found myself agreeing lol. What is so amazing about this book that it is written from both POV's. Incredible writing by one incredible author that has never disappointed me since his very first release. Christopher Harlan is truly one of the best authors today within the Indie Community.

As far as I’m concerned this rom-com is another hit for Christopher Harlan. Although Tori projects her intense distrust of all things male through her social media outlets/podcast and finally her book, I feel she is just lost in her memories of the worst EX ever. She can’t trust what is right in front of her. And that is the sexy book publisher, Cormac, her only obstacle to finally getting her book published. When he says no to her book b/c he can’t believe she would generalize the whole male species as man-whores and the like, Tori proposes an experiment. Unorthodox sure, but where it finally leads both MC’s is worth the read. Two opposites who snark at each other in the beginning, but develop real feelings for one another by the end, despite a misunderstanding. I loved the character development, even the side characters. Every girl needs a bestie like Shoshanna ❤️. Definitely check it out if you like your rom-com’s with a bit of witty bite, but a whole lot of HEA at the end.
