I thought the girls and I would be safe once we made it to the caves.
I was wrong.
Very f*cking wrong.
Monsters, foul creatures like I could barely imagine, descendants of the alien f*cks that had already killed me the first time around. And to make matters worse, the god-damned caverns themselves seemed to be trying to kill us.
Okay, so maybe I was this legendary swordsman with martial arts skills up the wazoo and a powerful chi gift that worked like magic thrown into the bargain.
But maybe even that wouldn’t be enough.
You can save them. You can save ALL of them.
Yeah, right. Good f*cking luck.
Rogan’s Monsters is a harem series that includes isekai, wuxia, xianxia elements (martial arts and magic), as well as a few gamelit mechanisms for good measure. Set (mostly) in a post-apocalyptic world, it contains violence, nudity, and sex, as well as alien invasions, wraiths and monster girls.
I’m a bit conflicted about this book, I enjoyed it but at the same time I found it a bit frustrating. Not a fan of a long dungeon crawl which is what this whole book was, but I enjoyed the characters and interactions. As typical of the MC, he manages to come out of each battle by the smallest of margins, and he also manages to regularly engage in ‘chi transfer’ with most of the female characters in the book. I had expected them to get to the objective and have adventures in this learning facility, but instead this book was all underground in the cave system. I’m hoping the next book will be more to my liking, and I will probably read it as I like the characters themselves.
What can I tell you but this is an excellent book. The characters are well done and make you want to cheer for their success. Rogan has formed bonds with the women, and even lady Gamma comes around. The caverns are perilous but With the help of Ecco they triumph in the end. A great pandemic read that will help ease your mind. Read these books , I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next book.
Plus one star. better than book one Adventure, sex ( with all the women), LitRPG, wuxia, monster girls, transported to another world.
Book 1 was a fun, passable, pale echo of every other harem book with these 5 common themes. But the MC was a broody, pouting, overpowered mess. (not likeable)
Book two. The story is duller, but the people are more fun. So... +1 star The MC gets his shit together, and the bitchy condescending main female drops her hate and lightens the F- up.
This book takes place in the cavern entered at the close of Book 1 and details their eventual escape. It’s a long journey filled with dangers and revealing moments. A very enjoyable read and a disappointment that Book 3 isn’t waiting to be read. I totally recommend this series so far and will be looking for Book 3.
I enjoyed the character development of Lady Gamma in this book. I also enjoyed the new character Ecco although I kind of wish you elaborated more on her condition at the end
So another post apocalyptic romp. This series is fun the sex has a unique purpose. This book was a dungeon dive with some sun twists. I look forward to the next book.
Well I have to say this was great. It didn’t have leveling up the characters as I thought it would. But it did in a small way Rogan’s powers did change and he is growing. Will he gain power from his women??? Overall great fun and great story.
Again Porter has taken steps to addict you to his writing.Book two followed book one seamlessly, each page filled with adventure and excitement. Will our hero's finish the quest ? Maybe if we ask nice
This book was more interesting than the first. The characters grew and became more. While some of the fights were more mundane and predictable the actual story line grew and filled out. The characters became more real and interesting.
I have really enjoyed the Rogan's Monsters series. As all the characters in the series from Camille, Gamma, Zera, to Ash even Ecco. Are all unique individuals. Who have their own storyline. I really am looking forward to the third book in the series!
There is no real story to sink your teeth into. Characters are okay but not all that good. MC is overly simplistic making him not that likable. First book was so so but this one loses it's newness making it a two star.
More excitement and adventure. Loved seeing the development of characters and their interactions with each other as well as new characters and monsters.
Good story line, many sexual scenes, if you don't like this type of thing then this series is not for you, but if you don't mind that type of content then please do get them both!
