A raindrop follows the water cycle.

This board book introduces the water cycle although the names of the stages (evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, and runoff) are not given. The story follows a raindrop as it falls from a cloud, is absorbed by the soil, is absorbed by a plant, evaporates, and returns to a cloud.

This Nature Stories series builds itself as pre-science picture books. They are terrific! Maybe every scientific process under the sun needs its own poetry picture book to offer a narrative for learning. This book portrayed the water cycle with charming, fun illustrations and poetry. Truly!

The only quibble I had was would a raindrop be able to fall and go up to a flower's bud in the span of one day? I'm asking. I don't know. If it's true, then no problem, if not, I guess we'll have to chalk it up to poetic license.

This book follows the journey of a tiny raindrop named Pip as he embarks on an adventure from the sky to the ground. Along the way, Pip encounters various obstacles and experiences, ultimately learning about the beauty of nature and the importance of perseverance.
In the classroom, students are provided an engaging introduction to the water cycle, allowing students to learn about precipitation, condensation, and evaporation in a fun and accessible way. Teachers can include hands-on experiments or demonstrations to reinforce key concepts.
