This is another great tight book from this series You are always drawn into the world of the shifter and their mate with the well written work of this author Each book draws you in and keeps you engaged until you turn that last page and this story was no exception
This Bastian and Leana's story they met once before he was in jail and she was the innocent he saw and wanted but he knew she was far to young for him so he backed away letting her live her life Now he has been sent by Alerik to spy on the DA and Lena is his daughter suddenly his mission isn't has important as keeping her safe and this time he won't be able to walk away when he realise she is his mate. Bastian knows that he isn't a good person but he tries so hard to be the person that he thinks Leana needs but she actually needs the man he is to keep her safe Will they get a HEA You will have to read to see
I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

Absolutely loved this book. It is softer then usual but soft and sweet is a good change of pace. Would have wanted Bastian to be a bit more of an aggressive alpha male and Lena more rebellious but still worth the read Bastian and Lena didn’t disappoint. Love the series. Can’t wait for Kade. I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I liked the connection between Bastian and Leana, they have an good chemistry. I was interesting to see them when they first met, to give a good background for the relationship they build in the present. While I thought the romance in the story was good, it didn't add much to the overall plot arc. There were hints about some of the issues, but it just seemed like the plot with DA Preston and the organized crime families was barely touched on. I think there was more room in the story to expand on the those other plot points, but it felt like the absolute minimum to connect Alarik and Kade's stories.
I'm not real sure the timeline really works here. Supposedly it has been 3 years since Bastian and Leana met (when she was 17 and not yet out of high school). Since then she has finished college and is accountant with her own clients (seems to be her own business, not part of a firm). Either she finished very, very quickly and gained clients before she even graduated, or this just doesn't work. Also it refers to her school being an Ivy League school in Arkansas, but Ivy League schools are in the north east US, not south east. These discrepancies kept pulling me out of the story.
When Leana was saved by Bastian from the guards at the prison it started something in her. At 17 she was still a young lady too young for Bastian but that didnt stop her from hunting him down to tell him she wanted him. Bastian is nearly twice her age and a criminal. Leana deserves so much more but he cant deny the pull between them but he wasn't going to touch her till she was at least legal. And it takes him being forceful with her to get her to move on with her life. Now 3 years later she is back. Just split up with her fiancée as she was sleeping around with 2 different woman, Leana wouldn't put up with that. SO she comes home and goes looking for the one man, The wolf shifter that she has never forgotten. There are so many twists and turns in this book. Its a great read

Leana first met Bastian when she was somewhere she wasn't supposed to be, and she was only seventeen at the time. Years have passed, Leana is back home and her father is trying to pressure into taking a job with men she doesn't trust. The last thing Leana expected was to have Bastian save her from men that attack her and her family in their home. Bastian may have been neglecting his duties when he found out that Leana was back in town, but he probably wasn't as surprised as some might be to have to save her from men whom her father does business.
Well written, sexy, unique characters in a romantic, suspenseful read with some exciting action. Fantastic read!

I liked how Bastian tried to be the better man and tried avoiding Leana due to respect and age gap! Bastian and Leana find you can't avoid a fated mate forever! I really didn't like the back and forth of past and present. It was frustrating and confusing at times. I liked the persistence of both main characters- it paid off. Leana's dad was a real piece of work! Looking forward to Kade's story next.
The Shifters of Iron Storm Bayou continues with this latest install, Bastian. Although these are each stand alone, it is best to read them in order as there is an underlying story going on throughout. Ms. Monroe does an awesome job of weaving a tale with just the right amount of romance and mystery/intrigue to keep you very entertained. I find myself chomping at the bit waiting for the next book to find out what happens next!
Her father is a DA who got himself mixed up with a cartel. She goes off to college, breaks her e engagement and goes back home, only to be caught between her father and the mob. She had met Bastian when she was 15 or 16, and he wouldn't touch her until she turned 18. Great characters and story lines. Looking forward to the next book in the series.u
This author never fails to disappoint in giving you a great book with an intriguing storyline/plot and characters that you can connect with. The characters were so well developed and the chemistry between was felt. Cant wait for her next great book.

Bastian is sent to check up on the DA by Alarik. Bastian in the process of doing his duty sees the DA's daughter and knows he is in trouble. She is his fated mate, how can he do his job and protect her. The characters have great chemistry and I enjoyed the character interaction during the story. I enjoyed the storyline and flow of the book.
WOW! An on the edge of your seat read! The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, and very interesting; packed with drama, action, suspense, twists and turns and sizzling chemistry between the characters. It grabs your attention from page one and holds it until the very end. Definitely recommended!

Great story with a Romeo and Juliet kind of feel to it. Got to love an alpha male who is also a shifter that takes control and protects the one he loves. That's Bastian. He waited a long time to claim his mate and their history was really kind of sweet. This was a well written story with some heartfelt moments and of course a very heroic non-hero.
This is a wonderful plot and the author has done a brilliant job bringing her plot to life. There’s lots of action with twists and turns and some steamy scenes with the two main characters having great chemistry.

I absolutely loved this next look into the Bayou shifters. You will laugh and cry with this couple as they fall in love again. This book will immediately pull you in and will not let you go. The vivid descriptions will make you think of your own relationships and where they could possibly go.
A quick short story that is well written, Leana and Bastian's story is book five in the Mate Marked series. I will be looking for the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great story in the Mate Marked series. Can be read as a stand alone, but you will miss so many details if you don't read the entire series. Fast paced and full of action and intrigue.
This book was a great read. Bastian had a hard upbringing but made the best of his situation. Leana started her life on a bad note, but was able to be raised well. Their friendship, helped along by the mate mark helps save both of their lives.
