It's a persistent favorite, beautifully illustrated, and somehow interesting to both adult and child, and for that it gets five stars.

Even though I have misgivings about the suggestion that peas are something children don't like -- it's hard enough to get vegetables into my boy without cultural validation of disliking vegetables.
