Made into seven parts, this is a well thought out and put together book. With many different aspects of advice, such as healthy eating tips and suggestions with many different kinds of recipes, sleeping tips, games to play with others to avoid loneliness, and the importance of self-compassion and brain exercises, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy or learn from in this book.
Some of my favourite parts include the meditation techniques and yoga stretches, the healthy breakfast recipes (especially the smoothie), the importance of decluttering, forest therapy and the importance of going on an adventure.
A couple things that surprised me were the jam jar herbs and the healing power of herbs (which I found very interesting), as well as the page on how to lite a fire in the camping section.
My favourite part was definitely part seven: Be Part of Something Bigger. With suggestions on how to give back and be active in your community, simple acts of kindness in everyday life, and how to use less plastic to help the environment.
This is a wonderful how to book that I rate 4.5/5 stars! I highly recommend for those who are looking to make some changes in their life or are in need of self care. Overall, this is a very beautiful book!
The illustrations in this book are quite lovely, which is the reason I ended up picking it up at Barnes and Noble. Overall, I found the tips to be pretty broad and, for somebody who is interested and reads a lot of other books in the self-help genre specifically, very obvious and unhelpful. It could make a nice table book, something for guests just to pursue through that’s an easy read.
A well-written, well-illustrated,simple book on how to lead life in this stressful world. This book is about getting back to the basics. While some part of the book is rather 'daring,' for the most, it is doable an will make for a peaceful life.
A book that helps you to be more mindful about your daily activities, it gives you some main ideas about balancing your life and you can look for more information starting from there.
