Princes of Hollywood #4

Tangled Up With My Brother's Best Friend

Rate this book
After years stuck playing the invisible girl, I finally managed to get my brother’s best friend’s attention.
All I had to do was go through puberty, bribe my roommate into doing my makeup, and stride into his Hollywood audition like I had the slightest idea what I was doing.

And for approximately five glorious minutes, my plan worked.
Holden Prince--who in addition to being a filthy rich and famous film director is also the hottest man in all creation—couldn’t stop staring at me.
After years of him being the strong, silent, sexy, utterly oblivious type, he was finally seeing me.
He wanted me, and I don’t just mean professionally.

Then he realized that I’m his best friend’s little sister, and it all went to hell in a hand-basket.
Now he thinks he needs to protect me from… himself. And all of Hollywood.
And probably puddles, crossing the street, scary dogs, and spooky ghost stories too.
My brother’s overprotective crap must’ve rubbed off.

But he doesn’t realize who he’s dealing with here.
I’m all grown up now, and this former ugly duckling is on a mission to make all my dreams come true.
Starting with making Holden Prince fall in love with me.

‘Tangled Up With My Brother’s Best Friend’ is a sweet and sexy romcom featuring an alpha Hollywood hero and a stubborn, sassy heroine on a crazy road to happily ever after. It stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers, or nonsense.

Tangled up with my Brother's Best Friend is a standalone romance by T.L. Smith. Told in dual perspectives , this was one fun ride of contemporary romance that had me laughing so hard at times!

This was my first book by this author and I must say that she is an amazing writer of contemporary romances. I read this story in one sitting because I just could stop once I started!!

Ainsley is the shy geeky girl who everyone knows , but is sort of always in the background. As she grew up , she developed her personality into a striking confident woman , and chose acting as her profession.

Harold Prince is the famous director of super hot hits. He has a new movie on board and is in search for the perfect actors for his movie. That is when he stumbles across Ainsley . He is immediately intrigued by her. , And she is also the perfect muse for his film. That's is when he gets to know that the dazzling beauty in front of him is none other than his Best Friend Devon's sister. He clearly did not recognise her , as the last time he saw her , she was this neek shy nerd.

Now half of him is torn towards his attraction to Ainsley and the other half towards his duty to his best friend. He starts to search for options to get her away from him. But Ainsley has other plans. She is determined to convince him as well as her brother that she is totally grown up now and can make her decisions herself. Now it's up to Harold to either give in to his desires for Ainsley or to let her go.

This book was amazing for all contemporary romance lovers. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. The simplicity of the book intrigued me. The storyline was pretty straightforward and was enjoyable for me. This book is recommended to all the contemporary romance lovers out there , who would love a sweet slow novel with themes like brothers' best friend and second chance Romance!

Ainsley has lived a pretty sheltered life. Her mother checked out on her family when she was a young girl and her father didn’t seem to have any semblance of parenting in his chemical make-up. Thank goodness her older brother Devan had his head screwed and made sure that Ainsley was well taken care of.

After attending a private school and exclusive girls college Ainsley is ready to spread her wings and break free from her brother’s high expectations. Up until now she has done everything he has expected but now she has a plan and it involves the man she has been in love with since she was 10 years old. Her brother’s best friend Holden Prince and her desire to be an actress in Hollywood.

Holden has been casting for his upcoming film and after six months he has not been able to find the perfect person to fill the final role, until she walks into the casting room and completely blows him away. She has the look, the talent and there is just something that draws him to her. In fact, without thinking, he even kisses her - which is something he has never done before. Then ice cold water comes crashing down over him when she tells him who she is, his best friend’s little sister. Holy shit, how could he have been so stupid?!

‘I always thought I was a pretty smart guy. Turns out I’m not. I’m an idiot, motivated almost entirely by lust and without and regard for my own safety or the consequences of my actions. It’s a miracle I made it to age twenty-nine at all.’

Ainsley set out to win the role she was after and does just that. However, that is only part of her plan, she also wants Holden Prince to fall in love with her. The man she has day dreamed about for 11 years. A man who is not interested in relationships and commitment. The man who didn’t even recognise her and now regrets the kiss she has wanted for so long.

Holden knows that Devan would never agree with Ainsley doing this movie and he would be furious if he knew about the kiss. He plans to show Ainsley the dark side of Hollywood to make her change her mind and send her back to the safety of college life. However, try as he might, Ainsley turns out to be tougher than he realised.

‘Ainsley wasn’t like any woman I’d ever met. She was sweet, innocent, and sheltered in some ways, but also tough and resilient in others. She was very smart, and very beautiful. She was braver than I think she even knew. She impressed me.’

The attraction is simmering between them and he feels conflicted by the building feelings too. This means mixed messages for Ainsley as she feels like she is experiencing whiplash every time he changes his mind about what he wants. Holden needs to man up or face losing the girl that has taken up residence in his head and heart.

This is my first experience with this author and I love how easy the story flowed. I got completely caught up in this fun and flirty romance!

Ainsley has been in love with Holden since she was eleven years old. He however, has never noticed her so when she goes to audition for a role in a movie that he's directing and he is immediately taken with her not knowing who she is, the two of them kiss but Holden upon finding out that she's his best friend's little sister stops the kiss and is mortified. She's cast in the part but Holden wants her not to take it because he and her brother think she's much too innocent and naïve to be involved in Hollywood and be an actress.
Holden tries to seduce Ainsley into giving up the role but can't follow through on his plan when he discovers that she is a virgin. He knows he must keep his distance from her but Ainsley still wants him more than ever. On set when Ainsley has to kiss Holden's cousin for the film Holden loses it and kisses Ainsley telling her that he wants to be with her. Only problem is Holden doesn't date, not since he had his heart broken.
The two try for a little while to date before Ainsley's brother comes home from a trip and things are going well until one night when they are about to have sex and Ainsley tells Holden she promises she won't fall in love with him thinking that's what he needs to hear. Holden stops everything between them not wanting things with Ainsley to be a fling but doesn't tell her that he's fallen in love with her.
A few days later back on set Ainsley collapses with appendicitis and is rushes to the hospital. Realizing he could have lost her Holden comes clean with her brother about what's been going on between the two of them and is determined to make things right with Ainsley.
I actually liked this book quite a bit. Holden was a grumpy director who immediately fell for Ainsley a optimistic younger woman. I liked that Meg had a bit of a redemption in this and was not the evil paparazzo but the former paparazzo helping Ainsley to seduce Holden. It was clear that despite being an over-protective big brother Devan loved Ainsley a lot and ultimately wanted what was best for her, even if that was Holden and acting.

Winning the Heart ... uh, the Part !
===========================
Holden Prince, a wealthy and famous film director, is best friends with Ainsley’s over-protective older brother, Devan. When Holden is conducting auditions for the film he is directing based on his favorite novel, he wants to find the perfect female lead. Ainsley has now grown up, although she still has her crush on Holden, and she got her roommate to do her makeup so she could walk into the room with confidence and poise. Needless to say, Holden could not keep his eyes off of her and she got the part! Yes, he definitely wanted her – in more ways than one! Until she threw herself into his arms at the good news, and he kissed her! She finally pushed away as she realized he didn’t recognize her. Then she told him, “I’m Ainsley Taggart. Devan Taggart’s sister,” as he dropped into his desk chair to avoid falling on the floor.

With their chemistry sizzling through his body, Holden is torn between trying to protect Ainsley as a brother would, maintaining his loyalty to his best friend (the infamous “bro-code”), and desiring this beautiful woman that just walked into his life! Let the hilarity begin!

This is such a fun romantic comedy! Ainsley is really grown up now, capable and able to take care of herself. But Holden has stepped into the overprotective big-brother role and she has a struggle to prove herself to him. The characters are wonderfully portrayed and likable. Grab your copy and enjoy this fun story that will keep you laughing all the way through. And will there be a HEA along the way?

Ainsley has been pretty much in love with her brother's best friend, Holden forever. Ages apart, Holden went and became a famous actor. Her brother in the production world, but has sort of controlled Ainsley's life for a good while. He has her life planned out pretty much since their parents passed away. Wanting to do something that makes her happy, she auditions for a part in a movie, she is perfect for the part. Holden doesn't recognize her, so when he does, its a big red flag for him.

This was a quick read. I had issues with Holden with the flip flopping due to the forbiddeness of issue, but he ended up being really sweet with Ainsley. This was a nice read, my first from this author.

First thanks to the author for giving me an ARC of the book..
The story follows second youngest Prince brother and his best friend's younger sister. Holden and Ainsley are two sides of the same coin...The story is very sweet..The reality of Hollywood and the difficulties a newcomer face is vividly depicted in the book..Also the difficulties of dating your best friend's sister.. Holden and Ainsley faced problems but at last they overcame that. Also the book shows how well a person can change like Meg Butler..In short the book was quite interesting like others in the series..thnx again for such a good story:)

Such a cute and light story! Ainsley has always had a crush on her brothers best friend Holden and when he’s directing a movie that she wants in on she goes to the audition all made up and gets her dream role and the kiss she’s dreamt of until she realizes he has no idea who she is, let’s just say he’s not happy when he finds out either. Super enjoyable

Holden and Ainsley's story is so sweet. I like how each of the Prince stories has a bit of a fairy tale element to them and this one is no different. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and learn about what makes them unique. I felt like the book was had to put down and I wanted to keep on reading it until I finished it.

Ainsley is a young woman who knows what she wants. And that’s to be in Holden Prince’s movie. Holden sees and hears Ainsley audition and know she’s the one. He just doesn’t realize she’s his best friend’s little sister until it’s too late. I love this book! All the Prince brothers are hotness on a stick! A fantastic romantic story! A must read!

A cute, quick read. I wasn't sure if I was going to like Holden since I went into this thinking he was going to be a douche, but he was sweet, attentive and more wholesome than I expected. And I just loved how Ainsley stayed strong and made new friends while upturning her whole life.

Love Defeats the Bro Code

Everyone knows that Rule # 1 in the Bro Code of Behavior is to never, Never, NEVER, hit on another Bro’s sister, especially if the Bro with a sister is your best friend. Sisters are off limits for all purposes except to use as excuses as to why a Bro can’t go out with a girl whom he is trying to dump. For example, Sorry__________, my sister needs me to ____________. (Fill in blank #1 with the girl’s name being dumped, and fill in blank #2 with a reason the sister needs him. Only the name of the girl being dumped needs to be authentic, the excuse explaining the sister’s need is subject to the Bro’s creativity.)

And so Hollywood magic occurs when up and coming director and member of the famed Prince family, Holden Prince, who has searched high and low for the perfect actress to play the part of Princess Amaranth in the screen version of the children’s fantasy, The Winter Castle, and who has all but given up hope of finding the woman to play this crucial part, and when, as if by magic, the most perfectly beautiful girl arrives at the open audition looking exactly like Princess Amaranth would look in the 21st century, and who for her audition makes the perfect choice of Miranda’s monologue from the Tempest with perfect delivery, intonation, feeling and insight, and it is clear to everyone at the audition that she is the one, and when left alone with the perfect actress whom he kisses because she is THE ONE in so many ways, everything is perfect. All is perfect until the starry-eyed director, Holden, learns that the perfect girl’s name is Ainsley Taggert, and that she is the kid sister to Devan Taggert, the guy who is responsible for funding of this project and Holden Prince’s best friend. Well, at that moment all “perfects” are withdrawn because the Bro Code is now in play and no job offer will come to Ainsley Taggert. And, according to the Bro Code, that former friend—the fool who kissed his best friend’s sister—is dead, especially if the sister’s brother has mob connections, which he does.

As Taylor Holloway weaves the unanticipated encounter of apparent strangers into lovers, she teases the reader with the reminders of a modern-day fairy tale. With humor and style, Holloway effectively captures the magic of love and the complications of forbidden relationships in delightful style.

I received a free ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I will use my Kindle Unlimited to enjoy this series in my "read-again" titles.

Tangled Up With My Brother's Best Friend is, obviously, a brother's best friend romance. It was a cute and sweet story--though I found it required quite a bit of suspension of belief to get through.

What I liked:
- Ainsley and Holden were likable characters
- How Ainsley managed to get herself an audition for the role of her dreams
- Holden's dog Cooper
- The way both Ainsley and Holden loved the same fantasy story (the one Holden's current movie project is based on) was relatable; I almost wanted it to be a real book so I could read it too!

What I struggled with:
- If Holden and Devan (Ainsley's brother) were best friends who also worked together, and Devan had been Ainsely's guardian for 10-ish years, why on earth didn't he recognize her in the audition? Must have been one heck of a makeup job she got...
- The big, glaring, red flag of a Me Too moment after the audition--being hot and young does NOT make that okay
- Why didn't her brother's girlfriend (who works with Holden and Devan and was also at the audition) know her either? Why didn't Ainsley even know her brother had a girlfriend?
- Ainsley's innocence and naivete was often OTT. She never encountered a dog before? Really? But she's been to frat parties...
- Holden immediately letting Ainsley "borrow" his dog (a St Bernard) for an unspecified amount of time a hot minute after she admitted she'd never spent time with a dog before (honestly, who does that?)
- The push and pull of their relationship made them both seem really immature. Ainsley was 21, so okay--but Holden is a big shot Hollywood director...
- Also, Holden is a big shot Hollywood director. At 29. And his success is supposed to be all his own, not because of his family...I mean, it's possible. But spending time inside his head really didn't make it seem terribly plausible.

So...yeah. A lot of readers seemed to really like this story--to love it, even!--so clearly, your mileage here may vary. I am 100% willing to go with this is a case of it's me, not you here. This is the 4th book in the series, but should work just fine as a standalone--Holden thinks a lot about how his brothers are all settling down with their newfound significant others, but there aren't even any real spoilers given here about how they all found them, so...

Rating: 3 stars / C

"Tangled Up with My Brother's Best Friend" by Taylor Holloway was a fun, charming story featuring likeable, well-developed characters and an engaging plot. I'm generally a fan of books set in Hollywood and this one was no exception. Female lead character Ainsley was determined to pursue an acting career regardless of her brother Devan's wish for her to stay in college, and she did everything in her power to succeed. I loved Ainsley's determination and willingness to keep putting herself out there despite her natural shyness, as well as the way she stood up to both her brother and his best friend, Ainsley's love interest Holden, when they tried to convince her to give up. I also enjoyed her attempts to seduce Holden, which didn't always work out quite the way she planned.

Holden was obviously drawn to Ainsley from the moment she auditioned for the movie he was directing, and not just because she was perfect for the part. He fought his feelings because he was afraid to jeopardize his friendship with Devan or cause problems on the movie set, but eventually, even he could no longer deny that what he felt for Ainsley was much more than professional interest or friendship. Watching how flustered the normally cool, controlled Holden became as he tried to convince Ainsley to quit was pretty funny, and I was very happy when Ainsley finally got her way.

The book's secondary characters were also a lot of fun, especially Devan and his girlfriend Jamie, who worked as Holden's producer. Jamie wasn't afraid to speak her mind and set Holden straight when he needed it, and I appreciated that she supported Ainsley's right to make her own choices since she was an adult.

Overall, I enjoyed "Tangled Up with My Brother's Best Friend" and would recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I plan to go back and catch up on the earlier books in this series as soon as I find the time.

English Below ♥

This is my first book from the author and I was pleased with it. I really enjoyed reading it and it took less than 24 hours to finish it as it is a quick read.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

The author does a great job of keeping you turning the pages. I love it when books have both POVs. Holden appears to be a hottie and one who loves books so extra points for that though his reactions were a bit over the top sometimes hahaha still I loved his character and how he knew what he wanted.

Then we have our girl who wow she really wanted to speak out for herself and did it. Love it how sure she was on what she wanted even thou she didn't have it all figure it out. I really picture our lead girl as a barbie doll and can even see her with her fairy dress.

Overall, the story brims with emotion, tension, book talk, that first crush that never goes away, and chemistry, all woven together in a fast-paced love story.

This is the first book I've read by this author. The story begins with our Hero, Holden, who comes from a well known Hollywood family, talking on the phone to his best friend, Devan, about the trouble he's having finding the right actress to play the princess for his latest movie their studio is making. Since the movie is an adaptation on his favorite childhood fantasy novel, he has a specific image of the what he's looking for. After several months of auditions, he and his casting director are gleeful when the perfect actress walks through the door. Enter our heroine, Ainsley, who lands the role, kisses the director, then reveals to him after he doesn't recognize her as Devan's kid sister. He flies into a panic because of the "bro-code", and he definitely doesn't want to be responsible for bringing her into the unsavory world of Hollywood. There's the constant push and pull between the two with him saying no, and Ainsley pushing for the role to come out from under her brother's protective hand.

Ainsley is a smart, mature and level-headed young woman who sets out to prove she can handle Hollywood if Holden would just give her the chance. She proves on more than one occasion that she knows how to overcome her brother's and Holden's objections, much to his dismay. More comedic laughs come as Holden avoids revealing the truth to Devan, who happens to be on an adventure vacation in Alaska and is unaware of his little sister's new career aspiration. There were a few questionable things Holden did, but it didn't take away from his charm.

I read an advanced copy for an honest review.

Once upon a time there was a sheltered girl whose bedroom was on top of a turret tower.
When she was younger, she was gawky and nerdy, escaped into fantasy books. Her much older brother sent her to boarding school and even an all girls college to major in marketing. But this girl, Ainsley, developed the acting but at college. She also matured and became a beautiful woman. When she finds out that her favorite book is going to be turned into a movie, she fakes her way into the audition, meets the Prince (Harold Prince) and gets the roll.

Harold Prince is a famous director who is super picky. He loves the book he is turning into a movie. He may even be crushing on the character and want the perfect person to play her. He can't believe his luck when the perfect person finally arrives! He's dazzled by her. Maybe the two worlds are overlapping. He brings this vision into his office and kisses her. It's magic. Then he hears " I'm Devon's little sister (his best friend). You must have not recognized me".

Now Harold must figure out a way to get her off the movie, but Ainsley has other ideas. In this story where the chemistry is sizzling off the pages. Harold is torn between loyalty for his friend, keeping the girl safe and wanting Ainsley with every breath he has.
Ainsley is also dealing with this attraction as well as trying to prove to Harold that she is not the fragile little flower that her brother says she is. She can make her own decisions and stand on her own two feet.

This book will make you laugh, feel a little hot all over and cheer for these two characters. Rapunzel may not be living in her tower full time, but she wants to live her life her way on her terms.

This is a sweet romance focused in Hollywood. Ainsley has been bitten by the acting bug, but her brother, Devon, wants her to stay away. She is all he has left, and as a big player in Hollywood he knows how easy it is to chew up and spit out actors.

Holden Prince is Devon's best friend, and top Hollywood producer who is currently casting for his favorite childhood story that he has always dreamed of turning into a movie. Ainsley fits the bill for his final part he needs to cast, and immediately he is enamored.

Ainsley has been in love with Holden since she was young, and when he find outs she is his best friend's sister it is hands off. Ainsley's character comes off as confident when really she is shaking on the inside. She has worked hard to overcome her sheltered life and bubble her brother has kept her in. She gives as good as she gets, and she is written with such grace that I loved her immediately. She gives as good as she gets, and is not afraid to tell it like it is.

Holden doesn't believe in love, and does everything in his power to turn Ainsley away. Along the way he falls in love with this woman who doesn't care who he is, and is willing to push to get him to see what really wants.

It has been 6 months since Holden's trying to find the right woman for the role. It's not just any role, but he has a crush on that role. So he needs to find the perfect woman for it.

Ainsley wanted to try out her dreams just for the summer, so she moved to LA to audition for a role. And also to see Holden Price, her brother's best friend and teen crush. Somehow she was perfect for the role Holden was auditioning out for. From that moment he saw her perform, he had a crush on her and found her attractive. But there's a setback, she is his best friend's sister and he's not one to commit after getting his heart broken.

One thing I don't like is how Holden keep on stringing her along and giving her mixed signals. He kept on saying for them to remain friends and nothing could happen to them. Never once did I feel like Ainsley's not making it clear of what she want from him, but still he strings her along. It kind of dragged on, because Holden's so loyal to his best friend. And towards the end, he made her feel like there's something wrong with her. She's not a confident person to begin with and this is her big break out of her own shell. But he made her feel like that. Safe to say, I'm not a fan of Holden

Holden Prince is a famous & rich director in Hollywood, and Ainsley's way overprotective older brother's best friend. Ainsley was a shy nerdy girl when he knew her back in the day, but when she walked in an audition for his new film, he didn't recognize her, and she got the part. They had big time chemistry shooting sparks everywhere, and when she let him know who she was, he slammed the brakes. Now, Holden is trying to take on her brother's role by being overprotective about everything when it comes to her, plus that whole bro code thing you know. There's just one HUGE complication, his attraction to her grown up self so there's a slow burn type of push & pull which had me wanting to pull my hair out as all the bumps in the road came in hot though I couldn't put it down for anything. However, it's just a matter of time when that potent chemistry they have won't be denied any longer. So how does it all pan out?! Hit those one click buttons to find out as this is a delightful rom-com read! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I haven't read a lot of Taylor Holloway's books, but this book makes me want to read more! This was a really engrossing book that just sucked me in because I was enjoying it so much.

Ainsley was the girl that blended in growing up. She knew everyone, everyone knew her, but she didn't stand out in the crowd because she was shy and somewhat geeky. But as she grew up, she grew bolder and more confident, and acting helped her break out and find herself.

Harold Prince, her brother's best friend, doesn't even recognize the little sister that he knew. Last time he saw her, she was shy and awkward, and now she's his muse. But does his duty to his best friend mean he can't pursue her? He tries to keep his distance to do the right thing, but Ainsley is determined and she is having nothing of it!

This book has some serious brothers-best-friend, second-chance, slow burn vibes. It is just enjoyable. There is no real angst or drama just for drama's sake, and there is plenty of heart and humor.

Ainsley secretly goes to audition for a part in her brother's and his best friend's movie. While her brother is gone she knows that she has a chance at getting the part because no one knows her since she's been away at boarding school and college for years. Holden is stunned by Ainsley when she reads for the part and doesn't even recognize her. After she is given the part he kisses her and she comes clean about who she is and he tries to take back the offer of the part. Sparks fly between them but Holden keeps distance between them which upsets Ainsley. Holden wants to make sure that she knows what she is signing up for so he takes her to a Hollywood party but its backfires on him. Will Holden see That Ainsley is perfect for him? Will her brother stand in their way?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Such a fun and cute reading!🤗

This book is about Ainsley Taggart and Holden Prince.

The hero, Holden is definitely one sexy guy. Besides that, he is successful in his career.
The heroine, Ainsley is a sheltered girl. She finally realizes she wants to be an actress and pursuing a career in it. Ainsley's sheltered-upbringing makes her somewhat naive but not a stupid girl. I like that about her. Moreover, she is very brave for pushing herself out of her comfort zone and be the best version of herself. I adore that quality.

What makes it a 3-✰ reads?
- The push and pull become repetitive and it kinds of dragging the story.
- The background story of the MCs is not explained clearly until later near the end of the book.

Buuuuuut, if you're looking for a cute, fun, light-reading, and HEA-guaranteed, you should read this book! It will make you smile 😊

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed this story.

Ainsley has had a crush on her brothers friend Holden for years. He’s never spared her a glance, so when she rocks up for an audition for a film he’s directing he doesn’t even recognise her and decides she’d be perfect for the role. Ainsleys brother and Holdens best friend Devan is just a little over protective of his little sister and once Holden finds out who she really is, he starts backing away as fast as possible. Ainsleys not the sheltered, little girl her brother thinks she is though and she’s determined to see her dreams come true even if she is out of her comfort zone.

This is a sweet rom com and the chemistry between the characters is great. I really liked Ainsley, she’s willing to put herself out there and not take no for an answer. This was my first book by Ms Holloway and I can’t wait to read more of her work.

Ainsley wants to attract the attention of her childhood crush (and big brother's best friend) director Holden Prince. And what better way than to audition for the role of Princess Amaranth in his next movie? She gets the role, even gets kissed by Holden (mmmm... bit of a me-too moment for me) and then it gets spoiled by her revealing she is the sister of his friend Devan. After that Holden is adamant she should give up the role and needs protection against the business (and himself).

But Ainsley doesn't need protection and wants to show that in many ways.

I liked the writing, the cover and the premise of the story. But I did think the main characters were a bit off or juvenile sometimes. Ainsley is of course only 21, but Holden is a Hollywood director.
Overall a very enjoyable story.

Tangled Up With My Brother’s Best Friend was an enjoyable read. Ainsley has had a crush on her brother’s best friend since she was eleven and she decides to audition for a film that he is directing. Holden doesn’t recognize her and is instantly smitten with her.

Ainsley was very naïve since she had been sheltered by her brother her entire life. I liked that she took steps to overcome her shyness and to put herself out there.

Holden is torn between his attraction to Ainsley and his loyalty to his best friend. He ran hot and cold a lot through the book and I could understand Ainsley’s confusion about how he felt about her. Heck, I think Holden was as confused about his feelings as Ainsley.

Overall, this was a fast, light read that made me chuckle. If you are looking for a quick summer read, I would recommend this book.

Ainsley has lived a sheltered life and she has always been protected by Devon who acts more like her father than her brother. She is determined to follow her dreams of being an actress and along the way convince the man she has been attracted to for as long as she can remember to notice her both personally and professionally.

Holden is a successful director who has been having trouble finding the right person to play the role he is casting until he sees Ainsley. He knows that she is exactly what he is looking for but when he finds out she is his best friend’s sister it becomes a gamechanger.

Holden need to keep their relationship strictly professional and platonic is not match for Ainsley’s determination to win the heart of the only man she has ever loved. Let the fun begin!

This is the first book that I’ve read by Taylor and will definitely not be the last. This was a great older brother’s best friend book. Holden Prince is a big Hollywood director and is best friends with Devan Taggart. Ainsley is Devan’s sister and has been sheltered by Devan since their father died and he is very overprotective of her. Ainsley has had a crush on Holden since she was 11 and now she Is grown up and is home for the summer to get her dream man and dream job. You need to read what happens between these two. There were times when both of them needed to be shaken and asked what they were doing or for them to speak up. There were funny parts. Taylor did such a great job writing these two, I could feel how they were feeling. I loved the characters that I met while reading. I can’t wait to read her next book.

Taylor Holloway is a new to me author and I can not wait to read more of her books. This book is book 4 of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Since she is new to me, I have not read the other books in the series, but after reading this, I want to read more. I want to see the journey of the Prince Brother's since I got to meet them in this book.

This was a good book that a really enjoyed. It was fun, flirty, and full of a bit of mischief, laughter, and a bit of heartache as well. Good story line, awesome characters and well described details. Written as a 1st person, multi pov with a HFN ending.
