Princes of Hollywood #2

Auctioned to the A-lister

Rate this book
I snuck into a charity ball and accidentally got myself auctioned off to Hollywood’s sexiest, most eligible bachelor.
This is going to be VERY hard to explain to my evil stepmother.

I escaped my monotonous life for one enchanted evening.
I even danced with a prince. Tommy Prince, America’s most lusted-after movie star.
He must have liked me because he decided to cut a one-hundred thousand dollar check to the Humpback Whale Consevation Fund to take me out on a date.
But it’s only a matter of time before this fantasy shatters.

I’m not the typical Hollywood arm-candy.
I’m an awkward, nerdy virgin working a dead-end job, while he’s the hottest actor in the world.
His rugged good looks, alpha attitude, and dogged pursuit of me is making him impossible to resist.

But my fame-hungry stepmother has her own plans for Tommy, namely my shallow, beauty queen stepsisters.
When I’m safe in his strong arms I can imagine a happily ever after for us, but my life has been no fairy tale so far.
I might have to give Tommy up to keep my crazy step-family from destroying us both…

AUCTIONED TO THE A-LISTER by Taylor Holloway is the story of Tommy and Cindy.
Cindy father married her stepmother when she was about 10 years old but they have never been close. Now at 23 her father has been gone for a while but her evil step-mother with her daughters are still full force. Cindy works at the family Dry Cleaning Business where she works in the back getting stains out of clothes. Cindy's step-mother is trying to get her daughters into acting and is always pushing that at every chance and of course Cindy is just trying to keep up with everything. When Cindy is offered a chance at a ball which is a fun raiser for Humpback Whale Conservation she decided to go and have a night out of her boring life. Tommy is a famous actor who is tired of the cookie cutter women who throw themselves at him. But when he sees Cindy at the ball he knows she is so different from the other women. Tommy 'buys' her at the auction for a date which just showed him more how much he wants her. But Cindy knows her family would cause interfere between them for their own game so she tries to keep away from him but he is on the hunt for her.
This was a modern take on Cinderella Story line. Enjoyed it.

I read an advanced copy for an honest review.
In this updated version of Cinderalla, Cindy sneaks off to a fancy foundation dinner in a borrowed ballgown, from the drycleaning store she tirelessly works at for her evil stepmother and stepsisters.
There she meets a Prince. Tommy Prince, an A-list actor who is up for an academy award and who is tired of the "plastic " people around him. There winds up being a date aution at the event and Tommy bids on Cindy because she is like a breath of fresh air.

After their date, Cindy figures her family is too toxic for the likes of Tommy and dissapears from his life. He looks for her at the cleaning store and her fame hungry famly try to latch on even the smallest connection to him.

While things spiral out of control in Cindy's family, Tommy and Cindy try to have some sort of relationship. The madness seems to follow them. Choices need to be made.

Can the two of them survive the circus like atmosphere? Is this just a passing fancy or is it really love? Can Cindy sever her ties with her family?

There are a lot of choices and questions that need to be answered in this book that is somtimes sexy, very witty and leaves you satisfied at the end.

Collateral victims of reality show
Excellent story that depicts the romance of Cindy who suffered her in-laws and who meets and loves Tommy, a movie star.
It is not so much their romance that is amazing, but the context around Cindy, with a family eager for starification, glitter, who does not hesitate to try to manipulate them, through a trash reality show that destroys their lives without their participation.
The story is very well written, with excellent characters, whether they are good or evil ones.

Cinderella...Hollywood Style

This addition to Ms. Holloway's newest series is a retelling of Cinderella...Hollywood style. What does that mean? It means that this one is full of money hungry, fame seeking, totally fake, completely toxic people. Of course those people are Cindy's family and they are determined to exploit her relationship with Tommy. Will Cindy have a HEA with her Prince? It will be hard...afterall, she doesn't have any mice to help like the original Cinderella!

She was so controlled by her family that she really felt like she was a nobody. She was way better than them. She at least had the smarts to run the business the way it should have been run. She was so deserving of a night out. He made sure of that even when she tried to sabotage it all. Sometimes it really takes a lot to lose your cool. For her it took too long for her to see that their issues are not hers.

I have already finished reading it..as I got the opportunity to get an ARC of the book..the plot of the book is very interesting..
How cruel and merciless a step family could be ... and.. How Hollywood actors sacrifice many real things in their life for Academy Awards.. Cindy is a very smart girl but she has been dominated her whole life by her step mom and sis.. after meeting Tommy she realizes she is not dumb or useless..she is important too..And Tommy our American Good Boy made a bet with his brother to win Oscar and after meeting Cindy he realized how shallow he was.. After he fell in love with Cindy.. A good story:)

You might want to make sure you have a few hours when you pick this book up! I couldn't put it down!!

This is the 3rd book in the series about the men in Hollywood's Prince family. I love the contemporary fairly tales the books provide! While there are a few references to the previous books it can be a stand alone. I cannot wait to see what is next for these Princes.

This book was so adorable. I loved the classic spin of Cinderella into a Hollywood romance. I loved watching Cindy realize what she wants from life and how to get it even with people trying to pull her down. Cindy handled everything so gracefully and made the perfect Cinderella of this story. Tommy brought the best out of Cindy and she did the same for him. I loved seeing the characters from the other books in this series and I cannot wait for the next book!

This is the second book in the Princes of Hollywood series by Taylor Holloway. Auctioned to the A-Lister is a excellent modern twist to the story of Cinderella. This book was so good it made me wish I didn't have to work, I never wanted to put it down, I cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out.

The Delight
A Cinderella re-telling updated for the ages. Sweet romance that grabs you with a little spice to make it nice.

Review
Oh, poor dear child. Cindy just is too sweet for her own good. Having given up everything to move to Hollywood, Cindy works her stepmom's dry cleaner business while altering garmets in the back. Her two stepsisters aren't exactly working, instead they are trying to be the next biggest star. So life isn't exactly horrible, but it could use an upgrade. When Cindy is given tickets charity party, she grabs her dress and decides to enjoy every moment. Never expecting to dance with a true prince.

Tommy Prince is Hollywood's darling hero, but one that is jaded on all the glitz and glamour. Dancing with a beauty, he doesn't even know her name, he becomes infatuated with the woman who finds joy in little things around her. When a date with her is auctioned off for the charity, he doesn't think twice about outbidding them all.

The date is very contained and not up for their choice. Suddenly they are ski diving with very little time to talk, let alone exchange more than first names. Cindy knows she is out of her league, but captures all the fun in the event before dashing away, leaving Tommy to try to find her at the dry cleaners... not knowing that is actually where she works. Now her step-family has their talons in Tommy along with a reality show that is painting Cindy in a bad light.

This was both silly, innocent, facinating, fun and shake your head worthy reading. Sometimes I just need this type of stories. Cindy learns to stand on her own two feet and actully not have to worry about those who don't have her own interest in mind. Then there is Tommy who bows to his managers wishes to win an Oscar finally figures out that he was only acting on a bet made as a teen. Both grow from the beginning, but they both learn each one is geniune to who they are inside.

The issues were mostly external from bets with his siblings to the step-family having a reality show that stalks your life. Attraction never seemed to be a problem and even trust to each other was strong from the get-go. These two just needed to figure out what truly mattered and decide to go for it. And when they did, wowza. A great little story that renewed my faith in humans.

A Tale of Love and Wishes That Do Come True for Cindy and Her Prince

Cindy Brown has never known a mother’s love. Before she walked out on Cindy and her dad, Cindy’s biological mother shared with her young daughter that she had never wanted to have a child. When her dad remarried again to a woman with two daughters, Cindy quickly learned that she would be the stepchild in her own home. Her new “family” had very little use or room for Cindy in their world. And for thirteen years, Cindy has been tolerated only because she was her father’s beneficiary and upon his unexpected death, those benefits went to her. And if she continued to be in the “family,” those funds could be managed by her stepmother, Marigold, assuring that the monies were “properly used”. And she did “properly use” them to provide her daughters with dance lessons and pageant attire as she promoted their dreams of being discovered by a talent scout. To further promote the dreams of Quincey and Greenlee becoming Hollywood’s newest starlets, Marigold redirected Cindy’s college fund to finance the family’s relocation from Altoona, Wisconsin to LA and to finance the purchase of a dry cleaning business in West Hollywood where Cindy is expected to work diligently, but Marigold, Quincey and Greenlee merely float though to check on things and to see if any of the cleaners’ clients might be useful in furthering the Hollywood dreams of Marigold and her girls.

Unknown to Marigold a contact has been made by Cindy that could open the doors of Hollywood. Isabelle Schmidt Prince, member of a powerful Hollywood family and the set designer specializing in practical effects and props for Nightstalker, a recent release from the Prince studio, was a client of the cleaner. And, in gratitude for the rushed, but quality cleaning performed by Cindy when Isabelle discovered that the werewolf suits had been “borrowed” and used in some sort of furry orgy, she wanted to personally thank Cindy, offering her a ticket to a Hollywood gala where the elite of Hollywood be present.

Borrowing a dress that she had recently cleaned, the LA Cinderella beautifully decked out for the gala, is mistaken for one of the elite LA society. And, as a beautiful woman in attendance at such and elite event, she is invited to participate in the date auction, the tool being utilized for fundraising on behalf of humpbacked whales, the purpose of the event. However, before the auction, when Tommy Prince, A-List actor and member of the Hollywood Prince family, bumps into her, almost spilling his glass of red wine onto Cindy in her borrowed blue silk gown, he is delighted by her humorous and witty response, and asks her to dance. So, when the auction commences and Tommy sees that Cindy is one of the beauties being auctioned, he bids and wins a date with Cindy in her borrowed blue dress.
But, nothing is ever straightforward or simple, especially not love in a fairy tale or in life. And when the ever grasping step-family discovers Cindy’s connection with Tommy Prince, even the magic of love has to struggle to survive.

As Taylor Holloway weaves the unanticipated encounter of the strangers into lovers, she teases the reader with a re-telling of a modern-day Cinderella tale. With humor and style, Holloway effectively captures the magic of love when at odds with the injustices of life in the childhood tale of wishes that do come true when the heart is pure.

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.

Cindy goes to a charity gala because of an invite from one of her clients.
Thomas is there to help the charity. Cindy bumps into her and she spills wine on him. He asks her to dance and while dancing he kissed her. Then Cindy left in a hurry leaving her scarf at the gala. Cindy lives with her stepmother and stepsisters who treated her like dirt. Thomas goes looking for Cindy he goes to the cleaners that they own. He asks for Cindy and Marigold told him she didn’t know where she and stole their
van. Her sister knew who Tommy was so she figured she would play him and she told him to take her to lunch and she would give him the information. Instead she had called the photographers and told them where they were and she was Tommy’s girlfriend. Meanwhile her family got a reality show and Cindy was shone as the evil sister. Olivia told the gossip columns that Cindy took Tommy away from her. Tommy had been looking for Cindy but, his twin brother Derek found her as she was leaving the theater. Cindy was able to get a steamstress job at theater.Derek call Tommy who came to get to Cindy to give her the Scarf back And she tells him what happened. Meanwhile Cindy’s family was able to parlay Olivia’s meeting with Tommy using Cindy as the evil women who stole Tommy from Olivia. Tommy talked her in to take a road trip with him.Elaine his agent called and told him he had to come back and schmooze for the Oscar that he was up for at the academy. But, he had to break up with Cindy because of her family’s show. He tells Cindy what was going on and she told him she was not going to be his dirty little secret. The night of the academy awards he went alone and so did his brother. On his acceptance speech he told them he is leaving show business and that he loved Cindy. They get back together and he drove them to Las Vegas and showed her around. Marigold was still scheming to keep their show on the air telling Cindy she was selfish by not helping them out.
Twists, turns, deceit, malicious lies, and love a modern day Cinderella.

This was too insta-love/over the top for me to say that I loved it, but if you're looking for a light and quick read with hints of a beloved fairytale and a taste of Hollywood, then this might work better for you. It's a modern retelling of Cinderella where our heroine is a sheltered young woman working as a dry cleaner and our hero is an A-list actor. While I haven't enjoyed this series nearly as much as I did Holloway's Lone Star Lovers series, I've got to admit that she did a great job altering the fairytale we all know and love to give it a modern, Hollywood-infused feel.

The story follows Cindy, a 23-year-old who has let her stepsisters and stepmom dictate how she lives her life for way too long. When Cindy attends a charity auction and finds herself being offered up for bid (or at least a date with her), she's shocked to discover that the winner is A-list actor Tommy Prince. The two go on a date together and sparks fly, but Cindy's family quickly puts the brakes on their blossoming romance.

There's a lot that I did enjoy about this - the Hollywood twist on Cinderella worked well, with attention-hungry siblings, a dose of reality TV, and obvious social class differences. I also really liked the text messages between Cindy and Tommy, which I honestly wish there were more of. These two don't spend a whole lot of time together, which makes sense when you consider the storyline of Cinderella but leads to this having a distinctly insta-love feel. If there had been a stronger bond formed through text messages or more time spent together before hitting the sheets/throwing the L word around, I would've enjoyed the book a LOT more. So I can't say that I loved this one but I see potential in the series. I received an ARC via Candi Kane PR and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light and easy read.

A Modern Cinderella retelling with a Celebrity Prince twist

Set in Los Angeles, Cindy is stuck working at her family’s dry cleaning company, where she works day and night without any type of social life. Her stepmother is of course evil and her two sisters are self absorbed wannabe actresses. She gets an invite to a Charity Gala where she bumps into Hollywood’s Golden Actor, Tommy Prince.

I liked the modern setting in Hollywood and the spin on this classic fairytale.

I didn’t like the OTT moments and personalities of some of the characters. I expected this book to have more laugh out loud and swoony moments, but instead there was more Cringey comedy (again-OTT), which isn’t really my thing. It also felt like it dragged on too long. Would’ve been better as a short & sweet story than a long (OTT drama) drawn out thing.

I do already like this author, so this won’t stop me reading her work again. I love fairy tale retellings but this one fell flat for me. I liked it but I didn’t love it.
Probably just my personal preference on a RomCom, give it a shot and it might be exactly what you’re looking for!

I read the first book that goes with the Princes of Hollywood Baby and the Beast that was my first Taylor Holloway story and I enjoyed it. I have to be honest and say I did not notice this book went with it until I saw Sophia in the beginning. Duh me. But you don't have to read the first book to enjoy Auctioned to the A-lister.

Auctioned to the A-Lister has a cinderella vibe to it. Cindy is such a sweet girl and is so mistreated by her stepfamily. When she is given a ticket to go to a charity ball she sneaks out and goes. This is where she meets Tommy Prince (haha get it?). Tommy is in the running for an Oscar this year and needs to be a good boy, and falling in love with a nobody with a horrible family is not a good thing. Cindy wants nothing more than to have Tommy in her life, but she will not be the one that is used to hurt him.

Will these two be able to find the love they both want? I loved reading this story. I am excited to see what is next. Hopefully Tommy's brother?!

Cindy is always stuck in the dry cleaning business working for her step-family. When a customer that works in the business likes what she did on some costumes and offers her a free ticket to a gala Cindy is stunned. She goes for a rare evening out and almost spills wine on Tommy Prince a famous movie star. Tommy is drawn to Cindy even though he is there to find a socialite to marry like his family wants. Cindy offers to go on stage and be auctioned off never thinking that Tommy would bid for her. When he wins he tells her not to make plans for the next afternoon. They end up goin out and having an amazing time but when she tells him that she is what he thinks she is Tommy doesn't care. He just really loves being with her. Then when she disappears and goes to the dry cleaners to track her down and her horrible step-family makes things messy. Will Tommy be able to claim Cindy for his own? Can they deal with her evil step-family?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book had me hooked. So it doesn't slowly build but doesn't jump right into the story. So I knew it was a Cinderella re-telling and let me say it was good. I sure did not see some of the twist and turns coming. I felt so bad for Cindy and her step family definitely not. So naturally you are always rooting for the underdog. Then you have Tommy Prince, he was different. This story has him following orders or sticking to his life plans. Both Cindy and Tommy are two completely different people who have a chemistry that could either destroy what could bloom them or just explode in love. Can Cindy take control of her life or continue to let her step mother control her. Will Tommy continue on his career path or will he sees a different path. My emotions were all over the place with a love/hate for a few characters. Other than that it is a wonderful book to read.

**ON A SIDE NOTE, DO NOT READ WHEN YOU HAVE TO WORK CAUSE HAVING TO BOOKMARK TO GO BACK TO WORK ONLY TO WISH YOU COULD FINISH THE BOOK. IT WAS A LONG WAIT BUT I COULD NOT HELP THE FACT THAT I WAS HOOKED.**

I am so getting a kick out of this series by Ms. Holloway...her own fresh twist on classic fairytales.

This is her clever take on "Cinderella" with Cindy and Tommy being the main characters in this story.

Holy crow! Cindy's family is like the Jerry Springer version of the Kardashians! The evils of her step-family knows no bounds and I was cheering hard when Cindy finally stood up to them!  She thinks that she is destined for mediocracy and a chance meeting with Tommy Prince brings a light into her world.

Tommy Prince...the golden boy of Hollywood.  Is that what he really wants?  Or is there something more, something deeper that he really needs?  The mechanics and the Hollywood machine has been his fate since he started acting and it takes meeting Cindy to realize what is really important in the world!

I loved the little hints and set up for the next story in this series!  I have a feeling Derek is in for a wild ride!

I found Cindy to be a delight when she came to Isabelle’s rescue by removing an unmentionable substance off some werewolf suits in the first book of this series – Baby and the Beast. This book begins in a family-owned dry cleaner where Cindy is working hard to keep the place running. She gets a ticket to a whale fundraiser as a thank you from Isabelle, and this leads to a meeting with Tommy Prince. This meeting and the events that follow lead to a huge change in Cindy’s life and her growth from an insecure young woman to someone who knows who she is and blooms as she fights for the life she wants.
This book was a fast read for me. I found myself continually wanting to know what was going to happen next. Although some of it seemed a little hard to believe, it’s important to note that the story is based on the story of Cinderella and how her life changes when she meets her prince. I’m excited to continue with the Princes of Hollywood series. It’s important to note that even though the characters reappear in subsequent books, each book is a standalone story. They are modern day fairy tales with a little bit of steaminess to make them fun.

Want a fun modern day Cinderella fairy tale retelling?! Auctioned to the A-Lister is exactly what you are looking for. I am totally digging this series by Taylor Holloway, definitely took the "theme" and changed it to fit her style and a Hollywood type of way.

ALL of the characters in this book were spot on and perfect from the good characters to the absolutely awful ones. The story was entertaining and moved at a great place, it will definitely keep your attention! If you want a fun story, I totally recommend checking this out- 4 stars from me- and can't wait for the next books to come in the series!

PS: Thank you to Taylor Holloway and Candi Kane PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review.

This is a complete Cinderella story if I ever read one. But it's not your average one. This has a whole new take on it. Taylor sure does know how to twist a good Disney movie to complete her own take on each story. Tommy Prince and Cindy Brown are perfect for each other. He's Hollywood's rising star, and Cindy isn't anyone special, maybe to Tommy once he gets a taste of her at the auction. Two different people from two different worlds shouldn't be perfect together in this fantasy story, but they are. Taylor draws you in perfectly, and even though Cindy's family is totally out there and hates her, she doesn't care. She cares about Tommy and what they might do to him. I loved it. It was perfect.

All Cindy wanted was one night to escape the drudgery of her daily life, both personally and professionally, but she never imagined that attending a charity ball would lead her to be auctioned off to her Prince Charming.

Tommy has forged a successful career as an actor, but he is tiring of the lifestyle and not knowing who is with him because of the person he is rather than what he can do for them. He is intrigued and enchanted by Cindy, but will her evil stepsisters destroy their fairy tale before it even begins?

I am enjoying this fairy tale series and looking forward to the next installment.

The story of Cindy and Tommy is so ridiculous that it was really hard for me to finish this book. It's basically Cinderella revisited with every cliché you can think of with Cindy working at the dry cleaning family business and Tommy being an A-list actor. The stepmother and the two stepsisters are of course horrible and cruel. The characters are immature, boring, boring and boring. I won't be reading another book by this author.

A cute modern day version of Cinderella. It's a bit over the top but is meant to be that way. Tommy and Cindy have insta-lust/love after they dance and he bids on her at a charity auction. After their date they fall a little more. Drama involving her stepsisters and stepmother follows. It's a quick, lighthearted read with a HEA.

Tommy, an A-list actor, falls in love with a girl he meets at a party. He finds out she’s a homeless woman who lives in her van, so he has unprotected sex with her in her van and decides to pursue her.

Cindy’s step-family are fame chasers. They use her relationship to try to star in their own reality tv show.

I thought this book was charming with Tommy and Cindy were going on wacky dates and enjoying themselves. Two people discovering joy and fun together. But it got kind of annoying and far fetched when it focused on the creation and fallout of the reality show.
