Curiosity and a change of reading pattern. Non-fiction, let see if I can endure this.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Done reading and I survived! One of the books that I could sit through and read, still curious about the subject matter that it talks about. I know, it does have elements of religion quotations from different holy books but it's nowhere preachy. It doesn't tell you how you should think or force the religion quotations upon you to believe instead it gave a wider perspective from different views. It's like attending a session filled with different believers sharing their views about the afterlife. It's more of a discussion rather than arguing who's has the best religion in that room (which I am quite sick of hearing it on the media). In the end, it's really up to you what you believe in. After all, the only people who actually know what happen after we die and are currently going through that process are the dead ones.

This book is just " Wow " ❣❣❣ It's 💯% Authentic.. & the dictions of the writer is just beyond amazing.. However once again I just had to admit with the fact that " There are no literature book is as good as Al- Quran itself. "
It's also very interesting. Don't be afraid, this book won't disappoint you. Be rationalistic & explore the spiritual world 💕💕💕

A new and strange insight occurred to me after reading this book. That the soul is eternal and immortal. something that will never ever perish or cease to exist. Contrary to the idea that comes into our minds that death will be the end of everything , the end of all torment, total forgetfulness of our life, as if we never existed. But death is just a transition from one world to the next, and though we may think that our worries end with death, the reality is totally opposite to that. when we die, only our body lose its form and consciousness, but our soul remains conscious. and it will remain conscious forever. its weird and hard to grasp. but one thing is very clear, we are forever stuck with our soul. And every person's soul is equally important and it will never ever cease to exist.

This book is very informative. I loved the section talking about the souls of the dead being able to talk to the souls of those asleep. The first 2/3 of the book i really loved.
However for me the last third wasn't as enjoyable.
I will try to explain why.
Unfortunately its not uncommon these days to hear conflicting stories (views) on Islamic subjects. When I first became Muslim I had of course studied Islam (among other religions) beforehand. At that time there certainly didn't seem to be so many differences of opinions. Most of us seemed to believe the same thing, only cultural differences seemed to be apparent.
Perhaps it is because of the internet (worldwide information is more obtainable now) or just because over the years I delve deeper?
Either way towards the latter of the book a large section talks about the souls abode between death and resurrection. Now I used to be interested in reading about why certain views on things are incorrect. That way when people insisted on telling me they were right and my beliefs were wrong i could refute them easily.
Now however I really do not want to waste my time on reading about incorrect views. I want truth and fact. I don't have time any more to do otherwise.
I actually first read this book about ten years ago and at that time I very probably appreciated those points.
This book is probably very good for people who are fairly new to Islam and hear different things and are not sure what to believe. Who don't have the experience on how to find out for themselves.
Perhaps I am just tired? I reiterate its a very informative book and parts of it I will definitely read again.

What is Ar-Ruh or soul?
Is it different from Nafs or the Ruh or Nafs are the same thing?
Is Ar-Ruh eternal or must it be perished after specified period?
What will happen to a man when he or she dies?
Is torment of grave be upon only the body or alongside the Ruh?
Answer of the questions like these will be found in this book. Attractive writing skill of the Shykh will never cause you feel boring. The author presented the fear of death and of the Judgement day which really shake our mind alongside addressing the question asked before.
It is a very good book to recharge our Eeman. Those who become used to practice sin, must have to read this book to raise God consciousness.

This one was truly an eye-opener. It talked about the soul and the differences between the soul and spirit. Does the soul have a form or not? Is it something separate from the body or not? Well, read the book if you want to have those questions answered!
It's totally worth your while!

Read this in one sitting. A great book for those interested in this concept. For me personally it was a revelation. Helped me understand how mortal and frivolous the worldly life is and how important it is to prepare for the hereafter. 4/5 from me.
