This set was fantastic. Of course Dorian was my favorite. I almost never cry and I cried 13 times. 13. Plus dozens of other times where I almost cried. Loved the ending because it completes and sets up for the next set. I still have questions, but nothing major. A must read!!
I cant believe this is the first time I have come across this author.. I need to go stock up on her other works!
I loved this series.. I laughed, I cried and I couldn't put the books down. It has been a while since I have read characters of such depth and feeling.
I can't wait to read the spin off for Dorian and Aimee.... but in the meantime I am looking forward to starting the emotional roller coaster all over again with the other books by this amazing author :)
I’ve read these books over and over again. It amazes me the way Tara Brown can write such emotion grabbing characters. Aimee and Dorian just rip your heart out and then feed it back to you. Ari seems like such a tortured soul, and don’t even get me started on Marcus. He may be evil, but I felt no less love for him.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they finally came together. I was lost for awhile reading this but then finally putting it together. It definitely had it's up and downs but things finally came together in the end for them.
I got the box set because I couldn't find betrayal. I had all the originals and read the rewritten ones. I think I I kinda likes this one more. That ending was hard on the heart though.
I love this series. Couldn’t put it down. Whilst reading I could picture this as a TV series. Liking different characters then changing my opinion time and time again.
This series is a mind bending feat, there are a few parts that seem repetitive but it’s worth it in the end when you see it all come together. Each book in this series has an awesome set of characters that come together but aren’t always a part of the next book. In the end all our awesome main characters get together but their path there is definitely a tricky and precarious one. Don’t be fooled by the title as even though there is an academy and each book mentions the school most of them do not take place there nor do they all actually attend. Each book in this series had its own level of spice 18+ recommended but nothing crazy.
All of the monsters from your fairy tales are real. The problem is trying to figure out which ones are good and which ones aren’t and there are always those that fall in the middle. The Roses Academy students are trying to protect the humans from all the monsters who hunt in the night. However each student is a product in one way or another of those monsters themselves and they do what they can to learn to control their abilities and not become the monsters as well. Each book in this series follows one of those students, we get to learn their origin story and their struggle to do the right thing.
Tara Brown does an amazing job merging all 8 of these books together to culminate in a very impressive ending that I didn’t foresee coming. I loved this series and have read it in full twice now without being disappointed. I love it!
