It is part of the Eburosi Chronicles, along with The Horse Mistress and The Lion Mistress. It’s not necessary to have read any of the other books in the series before starting The Dragon Mistress arc.

September 7, 2022*didn't actually read the 4th book.
Don't let the blurb fool you, this is pretty much pwp, with the barest hints of plot to tie it all together (albiet more than you'd expect ig).
The good:
- Polyamory! T'was sweet.
- The author did actually try to make this a Story, with the sex scenes somewhat having an impact on character development.
- Respect not seen a lot in erotic media. Very noticeable with Aristede. He was the "playboy" of the group but still realy respectful and not a creeper.
The bad:
- MC was kinda stupid? There just wasn't a lot of critical thinking going on.
- Convenient plot points and lack of tension.
- Flat-ish characters. Archtypical kinda but not horrendous. Like, because they didn't rly have a deep personality it was easier to subconciously fill it in. Kinda like how in the Naruto fandom everyone who writes Sakura changes her up completely, but it works because we were given so little of her so anyone can do whatever they want.
The was just there:
Also, I can def see why people thought there was a disconnection between these books and the rest of the series. The language is much more modern (read excerpt of the Lion Mistress on author's website).
3rd book had some family and caretaker interactions.
Overall meh, but somewhat entertaining for the poly of it.
PS, anyone else think Eldris was just a beefier Idris Elba fantasy? (Cuz, respect)

I really enjoyed most of the Complete Dragon Mistress Collection
Eventho I enjoyed most of this book there were parts that I tended to skip through. I really didn't enjoy the sexual parts of the story. I devoured most of the books. Sitting up for hours readingtk keep getting through the story. Maybe I would've liked the sexual scenes when I was younger but they don't interest me anymore during my older age. I loved the story that was portrayed and couldn't wait to keep reading chapter after chapter ingesting the story. A thumbs up.

I enjoy Steffan's books. She knows how to make her characters come alive and gives the reader a complete world for them to fight and love in. Frella is a feisty heroine and jumps from one problem to another. I hope there are more stories about her adventures in the future. The books do contain sexual content and explicit scenes, so beware.

I absolutely loved this collection. A truly engaging story. Everyone is broken in one way or another. Everyone goes through a healing journey while being supported by the others, and they find love along the way. R.A. Steffan writes polyamory so well, it's beautiful to read love being shared so openly and freely.

I love these series!
While it would be helpful to have read the first two series, this is a great stand-alone. I was completely caught up in Frella’s world and that of her companions.

Fantastic Collection
This collection was amazing. I started reading and didn't stop until I had finished the four books. Absolutely brilliant. What a lucky girl to have four men in love with her and willing to share.

Another collection of books from the Eburosi chronicles and they’re so good. Loved all the characters , Nyx was a great character. Can’t wait to read more from this universe. Highly recommended

Liked the story line, the flow of the story and characters. Only drawback for me personally was too much detail and length in the sex situations. But I can see how others would appreciate that.

good storyline, but over the top sex
I enjoyed the storyline, and learning more about each character. Saying that, it was beyond reason that one female would have sex with 4 males (at the same time!), and also have sex with another woman (I guess just for the heck of it). Comparing this to a harem is not accurate. In a harem, the male would sleep with one female at a time. This was the only part (though it happened a lot) that bothered me.
