My secret is out and my fate is still undecided--dead or mated? I'm not sure which is worse.

The Roya Tripsett—the three deadly and totally irresistible princes of our Kingdom—know my secret and now the most terrifying of the warrior brothers wants to claim me as his fated mate, despite his brothers’ misgivings. But that’s nothing compared to the fact a very powerful enemy wants me dead. When a pack of assassins comes for me, I have no choice but to run for my life.

Straight into the forbidden Dark Forest.

The bloodthirsty wolf shifters that lurk there could end me just as easily as the cold-blooded killers, but it turns out I’m my own worst enemy. When the Wolveskin find me on the verge of death, I learn I’m linked to the vicious race and now their king has set his sights on me. If I’m not careful, I might just get myself and everyone who loves me killed.

Willa Hart

Just like everyone else in the world (except politicians and the entire Kardashian family), Willa Hart hates talking about herself. Seriously, what's she supposed to say? That she's the most talented author in the world? That Liam Hemsworth, Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan are knocking down her door for the honor of starring in the big-screen adaptation of her latest romance novel? That readers get into hair-pulling, kidney-punching, nipple-twisting brawls while standing in line to buy one of her books?

LIES!

Just like every other wordsmith in the world, she's certain everything she writes (including her own bio) sucks big, fat, hairy donkey danglers. But deep down she hopes and prays YOU are just a little bit delusional and think she IS a great writer, that Liam, Zac and Michael would be idiots to NOT want a part in her movie, and that you'd twist every perky nip you could get your fingers on just to LOOK at her new book. Of course, she's not holding her breath, but...can't a girl dream?

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Forbidden Journey is the second book in the Mindslayer reverse harem series and it was so good, I loved it.

After the events in the first book, Forbidden Power, Meela and Taraz find themselves among unexpected allies while Sarkany and Leo find themselves in hot water. Meela so discovers more about her past and her future all the while growing closer to prince Taraz and learning about their new allies. Things aren't looking so good, the brothers are separated, Meela doesn't yet understand her importance and the kingdom is under the control of a vicious regent who wants nothing but the separation of the people and power. Meela has everything stacked against her but hopeful with her support of the people around her she'll be able to pull through.

I loved Forbidden Journey so much, the story just flew by and I devoured every single moment of it. Once again we get to hear from Meela and the three princes and I love seeing things from their pov. So much happened and I don't want to spoil so I can say that new and very interesting characters got introduced, more of Meela's past and possible future was unveiled and Meela is getting closer to Taraz.

There were a couple of things I had issues with, one there was an issue between Meela and Taraz that didn't get explained. One minute there was an issue and then the next minute everything was fine, I felt that since it was a big issue that there should have been a scene with them reconciling. The other issue, the ending confused me. I thought one thing was going on and that one character felt a certain way then everything did a complete one-eighty and I don't know what happened. Maybe it was purposeful done and is part of the plot but I was left a little confused. It didn't take away from the story for me, I still enjoyed it but these are the reasons why I had it give it four stars instead of five.

Forbidden Journey was such a wonderful read, with the drama, action, the diversity, steamy romance, danger and mystery going on how could I not love the story. I laughed and swooned so many times, it was excellent. I can't wait until Willa releases the next book, I have so many questions that I want answers to and I am already dying to get my hands on the next book, Forbidden Union.

Eh

Again the continuation of a series that could’ve been combined into 1 to 3 books but instead the author strings you along. I knocked two stars off for that reason, and another because the book is becoming a tedious read. I think my issue is the way the characters speak, the cadence, the way they talk to each other and in their minds and while having sex it’s just cheesy romance. I’m also starting to not be a fan of how wishy-washy the male characters are especially Tzas or however you spell his name. He’s all “in love with her” then finds out her true nature and was being hurtful in his mind as the female lead is like “you know I can hear you” and then after he’s hurtful they’re back to falling asleep next to each other? When did they make up from that hurtfulness? Then the whole wolf alpha who also somehow has a claim on her yet has what seems like 4+kids with his alpha female who he called his beta? Idk I don’t get that. Especially if we’re speaking that this is a “fated mate mumbo jumbo”... this series is getting dumb and I don’t know if I want to waste my maternity leave reading the series that feels more like the “next chapters” as this doesn’t feel like a book.

I enjoyed this story. This picks up after the first book in the series left us on a cliffhanger. We get to see more of Meela and this time around we focus on Meela and Taraz and their relationship growing. We also get introduced to the Wolveskin and have a twist thrown in here as well. It will be interesting to see what happens between Meela and the Alpha here and whether he becomes one of her men. There are a few twists and more questions thrown in throughout this book. We get a few pieces of the puzzle and learn how they fit together and other pieces that are there but no idea how they fit just yet. I liked the way that Meela has time to build a relationship with each of the men. It is not instantaneous with all of them at once, it takes time with each one to have that bond and I like that in this. There is a little bit of action but not much in this installment of the story. There is more intrigue involved in this one as we try and figure out what is going on around them. This book does not end with the same type of cliffhanger as the first one but of course things are not resolved. I am very excited to see what is coming next.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Well this series keeps getting better and better. The mystery of the story is intriguing and I want to know how it plays out and where it all goes. I love how the build up of the story. This book sucked me in the pages real quick. Taraz the scientific brother is with Meela in the dark forest. Something has happened and he is trying to find a way to help her. At the same time he is feeling things and that is big for him. So what will happen? Then Meela finds out something about herself and this can change a lot. What about Leo? I don't know whether to like him or hate him. He is not high on my list right now. Then Sarkany has made it back to his mate. This is good news! Also what about Rex and his statement. Do you think the Roya brothers will mess up when they find out what Meela knows. It is getting so good and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Too Cheesy

So originally I was really into this series and was excited to read it. But once we got to the fate mate aspect things went down hill. Every interaction between Meela and her mates is very...swoon sounding, flowery, poetic, and even the men povs.

I can’t figure out what the big thing is about Meela, why she is so important.

I also had trouble following some events, I feel like some fights happened off page so when we came to this book I was confused about what exactly occurred.

I suspect Meela has more mates, but I have a lot of questions about what’s going on or what’s to come.

I suspect that Leo is going to have problems now as well.

I just am not sure I want to continue I don’t like the cliff hangers and the flowery words between the mates.

But....I’m interested in the overall story but I just I’m not sure.

I'm really enjoying this series it's nothing on what I thought it would be when I started this book. Meela journey continues both physically and mentally as she seeks out the answers to her questions. The Roya Tripsett must determine who among them legitimately feels the mating bond with Meela. Loyalties are questions and things are definitely not what they seem so many unanswered questions and I'm constantly left feeling like can we really trust Leo. Now we have a new guy in the mixes Rex. The only thing I like about him for now is that with him in the picture we are getting more on Meela past. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Meela secret is out her fate death or mate? Who to trust?
This series is amazing, the build up in the storyline is fantastic.
After a group of assassins try to kill her she runs for the Dark Forest, Taraz (the scientific Brother) goes with her. They meet the Wolveskin and their alpha who seems to have an interest in meela. I love the characters. The story is fast paced and has lots of action, drama, mystery, betrayal, intrigue, twist and turns! I can't wait for the next book to come out because I could not put this one down! But beware there are cliffhangers in each book until its finish lol
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it

How in the world did Willa manage to make book two better than the first? The prequel and the first book hooked me. I was completely caught up in book two Forbidden Journey. I am hooked on fated mates and the Roya Tripsett.

In Forbidden Journey Meela who is spending more time with Taraz, which I am happy their relationship is growing. We meet the Wolveskin, and learn something new there. I really want to see where Meela and the alpha end up. With twists and turns, secrets to be kept and learned. Who can Meela trust?

More action, plot movement, secrets and relationships on the rise, Forbidden Journey left me with needing more of this world and it's characters.

Well this was unique series, that I hadn't read anything like it before. This still didn't have the world building, though I gave up on it after book 1. I wasn't sure if this is some dystopian world, or parallel world or? I felt that some things were not explained enough, to make sense. Meela is an odd character, she definitely gives me love & hate feelings. As to the guys ending up in her RH, well, I feel she falls too fast for the guys overall, it ends up feeling forced at times. Some of the guys are more likable than others, and have me frustrated over that dislike for them. I feel the author really needs a better content editor, as there were some things that were not consistent. Overall, this held my attention for the most part, and had me interested enough to move on to book 3.

Meela Journey

Okay this book was okay. It seems to me I missed a chunk of when the last book ended and this one started. It could be my copy or not. It kinda left me confused how Jix is there now and he was not there at the end of book 1 and other things. Over all it was okay, we learn about who she is but not enough. One thing I did not like is they kinda made Meela a quitter one weak. She was not weak in the last book or quitter. Meela took things head on and was a problem solver. But this is just my view point of things. I do look forward for the next book.

Meela’s journey continues both physically and metaphysically. The Roya Tripsett must continue to ferret out those who would do them harm while trying to determine who among them legitimately feels the mate bond with Meela. As Meela and Prince Taraz spend time with King Rex, more informations come to light while more questions abound. What will this mean for the future of the Royals? Could Meela be the Unifier everyone has heard prophesied? What does that mean for the relationships that have been formed and those yet to be?

Already an addicting series!

The journey continues for Meela as she continues to find answers for questions that keeps getting longer as twist and surprises make for a storyline that doesn’t disappoint. Meanwhile Prince Taraz discovers what it means to have that someone special that is meant for you. We also get more into King Rex’s character who’s role may have more meaning. I so love the twist that keeps coming up in this newest release that will have you at the edge of your seat. Can’t wait for the next book in this already addicting series!

Forbidden Journey starts right after the previous book. No time is lost in us finding out what is happening. Things are not looking good for a HEA. But Meela and her men will take their love to the end. It's only a question of which men and how long before they all are dead. The twists and action in this series is fabulous. I am just waiting to see what happens next. This is part of series that is best read in order and I recommend the prequel first.

I'm enjoying the pace of the series and I want Meela to win. I feel like the author is dragging the series a bit but the books are short and easy to read. I wish the guys were more powerful and smarter. After everything they have seen they still think things are impossible and are prejudiced. Also, I've never read of an alpha wolf who didn't reject their mate seeping with and having children with another female

I just couldn't put this book down. Things are heating up and coming together for Meela and her mates. Some loyalties are questioned and things are not always what they seem or are they exactly what they seem. Lots of unanswered questions, I mean who is Meela really and how do these very different men play into her future. Really good story that completely drew me in and left me wanting more.

This picks up straight after the end of Forbidden Power and Meela and Taraz are with the Wolveskin. I'm constantly left guessing what side Leo is on and the introduction to Rex let's us know more about Meela's past. It ends leaving you wanting more so I can't wait for the next in the series.

So much tension

Meela and the men surrounding her continue their journey to save the kingdom, unite the species and find love and trust in each other. This book has more insight into the wolves and is a great continuation of the story.
