Vivid goodness
Leo was the big brother jerk in book one, but now we see his softer side and insecurities as well as his arrogance and it creates an entirely different picture!
Myla has some irritating qualities, but near the end her outbursts or fire as the brothers call it made me enjoy her character and what she brings to the family. There is love, loss, betrayal, and all types of mafia antics one would expect. The ending has it set up nicely to jump into the next book. My favorite character is a secondary character and that is Kat...she is crazy and in all the best ways.
Entertains mafia story. Well written with colorful characters, language and scenes. Enjoy!

This was a good read. Leo and Myla both have a connection to Topa. They both lost family to this man. Of course Leo wants revenge. Things do get messy but in the end they are able to get together. However, the ending sets you up for the next book.

Leo is the younger brother out to prove himself to his family. He also wants revenge but made a bad move with a bargain with the devil. Kyla is from Russia and wants to be a dancer. She takes a job but it isn't what she signed up for so Leo helps her out of the situation. Leo thought he'd never see her again but when she gets into trouble he's there for her. A keep you on the edge of your seat read.

If you like Mafia books, these books are absolutely for you! You will love them! There is twists and turns and so much going on that you will devour this book without even realizing. Great book!

This is the second book in the Severinov Bratva series and it did not disappoint! This is the story of Leo and Myla. Leo is the brother who usually does things without thinking first as he is always trying to prove his worth in the family and prove that he belongs and should be helping out in the family businesses. Myla is the daughter of a family who went against the wrong man and had to flee Russia and start over. She is a dancer and all she cares about is achieving her dream of making it big. Leo and Myla meet one night after one of her performances. She is at the party where she is about to be sold off to the highest bidder. However, Leo is there and from the moment he saw her dancing, he was taken by her. He urged her to leave, even though he was there to do business with Popa. This only angers Popa more and Leo almost loses his life, but at least Myla is safe.
Leo and Myla meet up again after Myla’s parents are killed. Myla is so full of guilt and blames herself for being selfish and only worrying about her dreams and not about what her parents wanted. Leo never thought he would see her again, but when he does, he takes over and vows to protect her. He knows how Myla feels, because he feels the same way about his mother’s death. This story will have your emotions all over the place. You are laughing one minute and the next you could be in tears. They see that strength is better in numbers and forgiveness is needed to survive. There is a lot of growth and understanding in this story and dealing with the past. There is pain, drama, action, tragedy, revenge, passion, loyalty and most of all family. Great story and great characters. I am anxious to read the next book in the series about Tali.

Leo is out for revenge but also has something to prove to his father and brother. Topa is pure evil and Leo works for him. Myla is looking for her big break as a dancer from Russia and looking for her big break. Leo warns the girls about what his addition is really for and Myla listens. When she is in danger again will Leo be able to save her? I really loved these characters; they are both strong and the chemistry between them is very steamy and intense. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

Shoot this one was a slow burn for me. Leo and Myla are amazing. Myla’s story will rip your heart in two but by the end you feel well put together again!!

Possessive is book two in Kristen Luciani dark mafia romance. Severinov Bratva series. The story follows the life of Myla Tarasov and Leonti a.k.a. Leo Severinov. Leo is second child of four in the Severinov clan. Alek is the oldest and second in command to their father Leo has always lived in his brother shadow and always trying to prove something to father that he his worthy for a seat at the big boys table. However, he's always coming up with plans that blow up in his face and his family always having to clean up his mess. Leo is also driven by guilt and revenge from the death of his mother at the hands of Klim Yazov two years ago. His dad Armani Severinov used to work for Denis Manchenko back in Russia but Yazov killed Manchenko and was killing everyone who worked for him and their families.
The Severinov's flee Russia after the death of Manchenko to Israel. However, they were betrayed and was found in Israel and while Armani Alek and Leo was on a business trip his wife was gunned down in a shopping mall parking lot and his daughter Tali was almost killed when she took a bullet to the chest. Since then the entire family goal is to get Yazov. Leo feels responsible for his mother's death because he was suppose to be there with her and his sister while his dad and brother went on the trip. But because he was so jealous of his brother he argued with his mom for him to go on the trip until he got his way. Because of this Leo doesn't go over his plans with his family and will put himself in danger if it means it will get him that much closer to Yazov. He has now gotten himself entangled with Topa a dangerous man who does not care about anyone except power. He will sell you out to the highest bidder. Leo mess up deal that caused Topa millions of dollars and could cause him his reputation this screw up could be the downfall of the Severinov's or brings them face to face with Yazov.
Anatoly Tarasov was Manchenko's captain he, his wife and daughter Myla Tarasov was forced Russia to Brooklyn New York after Yazov killed Manchenko. Myla Tarasov is twenty two skilled aspiring dancer with big dreams of going to Juilliard and to make it big. She's looking for that big break as all dancers are. She gets the opportunity in L. A. for a dance company runs by Topa as the dancers perform the director was more concerned with their body and face more than their dancing. Myla thought that this was odd and there was a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that something is not right and all the girls were extremely young. Leo went to meet Topa for their new business deal Topa wanted to see if Leo could be his partner in his sex trafficking ring. Leo watched the girls performed but his eyes gravitate to Myla during her performance. He was sick to his stomach when he realize what Topa was doing with the girls and tell Myla to run and don't look back. This puts Leo on Topa bad side and he almost lose his life. But Leo felt good because he knew that he at least saved one girl. Armani and Anatoly are old friends from Russia so when Anatoly and his wife was gunned down by Valentin Karin is employer as a means of protecting himself from Yazov Armani flew to New York to get Myla bring her back to Vegas to stay with him and his family.
Myla was so distraught by her parents death and suffered from a lot guilt because she agrued with her papa before they were killed when he told her that they had leave. If it wasn't for her selfishness her parents would still be there but all she thinks about is dancing and nothing else. She's was shocked to see man who saved her life a months prior and often thought about him. Leo never thought that he would see Myla again and. The two connects to each other with a shared brokenness, loss and a sense of guilt. Leo has taken on the role of protector vowing to protect and save the blonde headed beauty once again. With Myla under the Severinov's protection plus Leo's screw up with Topa they are experiencing more attacks by their enemies.
Possessive is filled with suspense, murder, pain, bloodshed, hatred, betrayals, drama, love, lies, secrets, blackmail, anger, deception, danger, violence, passion, pawn, backstabbing, manipulations, retaliation, carnage, jealousy, sex trafficking, retribution, angst, kidnapping, emotions, enemies, attacks and unexpected twists and turns. The story was brilliantly written with extraordinary characters and amazing secondary characters that helps bring the story together. The chemistry between the characters were cracking and charged. This was a great addition to the series. There was also a great backstory giving the readers of the reasons behind the quest for vengeance from the Severinov's

Good storyline 💜
This book has a good storyline.
I am enjoying this series but IMO it’s not as much a Russian Mafia series as it is a great romance crime/drama. I’m not sure what’s going on with the accents, but they don’t feel right to me. I’m not sure if it’s a creative decision on the part of the author or the narrator.
Let’s talk narration. I want you to know that I don’t usually go this in depth on the narration but I feel like it’s important that sometimes you need to give a narrator a second chance.
First, the narrator has a fantastic voice and I can tell he’s got what it takes for voice acting. That said I have 3 things to add.
1st, there were a lot of technical issues with sound quality and repeated sentences.
2nd, after researching Tyler Darby (because again his voice is very good) I realized that this book was recorded a couple of years ago. So, it’s likely his recording skills have improved.
3rd, I was right. I found a book that he narrated and I reviewed last year and I loved his narration with no issues.
I encourage everyone to read/listen and always form your own opinions. This is book 2 with an HEA and a cliffhanger and continues in book 3.

Possessive is a dark Russian mafia romance and is Book 2 in the Severinov Bratva Book series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading this series. Loved everything about it from the great characters of Leo and Myla ; several plot twists I did not see coming , some scorching and sizzling chemistry to an amazing happily ever after. This author also always seems to find a way to infuse some funny situations and laugh out loud dialogue.
Great read highly recommend this book , series and anything by this author !

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. The second book in the Severinov Bratva series is about Leo and Myla. He saved her once but she needs him again. Leo is a mess at times and for a man in his position, that is very dangerous. Myla was focused on dance until everything else was gone. They had a connection from the first that grew with loss and guilt. Leo is looking for revenge along with redemption. Myla was not perfect but she was the woman who could see him and he her. It was a love story full of heartache, danger, betrayal, family and enemies.

This is Book 2 of the Severinov Bratva Series by this author. It is a suspenseful romance between Leo Severinov and Myla Tarasov. These flawed characters are likable, their chemistry is combustible, and the unique plot makes for an intriguing read. It is a love story with enough drama, danger, suspense, and steam, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Overall, it is an emotional read with almost the perfect amount of everything - heart, heat, and a happy ending. A great addition to the series.

Possessive by Kristen Luciani is the second book in the Dark Gothic Russian Bratva series, SEVERINOV BRATVA. This book revolves around the romance between Leo and Myla. Leo is the second eldest in the family and dons feel like his father treats him with the respect he deserves for his ideas. Myla's whole life revolves around dance as she has been dancing since she was six. Myla's parents are killed and now Leo is protecting her.
This book was an dark romance emotional rollercoaster that had me laughing and sobbing at the same time. I highly recommend this story and series. It really is amazing!

O.M.G. This is soo good!!
If you are a Mafia/Bratva fan, like I am, this series is required reading. I don't think I can adequately express how wonderful this read is, without giving spoilers. So much to love in this one!!!
These characters jump off the pages, grabbing hold of you fiercely, until the very last sentence. So, be prepared to lose yourself in these pages, as it will consume your time and you will not want to put it down once you start. (I know I didn't!)
As I have said before, I truly believe this author to be one of the best in this genre. She consistently provides the reader characters and stories that are steamy, suspenseful, and addictive; impossible to forget and oh so easy to love.
I strongly recommend reading Screwing the Mob first (that series) AND reading her work in her published order to get the absolute best from this read. There's a lot to unpack in this one, and it helps if you know all of their histories. But, this can be enjoyed for just Leo and Myla's story only.

I strongly recommend reading Screwing the Mob first (that series) AND reading her work in her published order to get the absolute best from this read. There's a lot to unpack in this one, and it helps if you know all of their histories. But, this can be enjoyed for just Leo and Myla's story only.

Leo felt the need to prove himself to his family and get revenge for his kothers death, only it puts his family in more danger. Mylar is a dancer with big dreams, but her naivety gets her into trouble, and then her past her comes back, he told her to run and saved her once but this time running might not be enough! Well written great story line and character development, woth suspense, action desires and more!

In book #2 of the Severinov Bratva we find Leo always acting before he thinks it through which causes problems and he just wants to prove to himself and his family that he can do the right thing. When he meets Myla who is a dancer from Russia he is mesmerized and then her parents get killed and the once innocent Myla turns into a feisty woman. This is suspenseful and romantic with characters who are different but perfect for each other. Leo is a sweetheart and Myla has grown into a strong woman.

Another corker from this author...
I won't go into the story itself as it's been covered in detail in previous reviews. This is the third book I've read in the series, obviously not in order so whilst not in sequence it hasn't stopped me from connecting the dots & having the aha moments. Flaws & all I'm just loving these characters. A compelling page turner, deep, dark & dangerous with a dash of tlc & some hot loving. Underpinning the killing & criminality the sense of family first & foremost resonates. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

This is the 2nd book of the Severinov Bratva. If you Bratva/Mafia you will enjoy this story. I had to finish the story in one sitting as it was to intriguing. This is a dark story with plenty of action, suspense, twists, danger, betrayal, pain, revenge, secrets, romance, love, passion, steam, loyalty, family and everything you look for in a mafia story. Loved the characters of Myla and Leo who had met years earlier. Will Leo and Myla meet again? Will they get an HEA? Find out. Possessive by Kristen Luciani is book Two in the Severinov Bratva Series. This is the story of Leonti 'Leo' and Myla. Myla is a dancer and just had wanted to be a big success but something happened which has her feeling nothing but guilt. Leo is one of the younger brothers of the Severinov family which has him always wanting to prove his worth with the family. Which sometimes leads to bad decisions and issue. The sparks fly between these two but they both have things to work on to get their happy ending.

I didn't think much of Leo in first book of the series. I didn't like the way he treated younger brother Kaz, so I didn't know what to expect, but it turns out he's kind of a white knight, at least when it comes to Myla, and he actually stole my heart. He's so protective of her, how could she resist? I couldn't! This steamy mafia love story held my attention from beginning to end and has violence, action, danger and suspense. I loved it.

False advertising
I’m sorry, when the description says that it is a stand-alone, I don’t want to reach an incomplete ending. Something big happens at the end. Life or death situations. I enjoyed the book right up to the end. The next book is another couple’s story, we were left hanging in this book about what happened to them in the shocking ending. If you don’t mind committing to a 4 book series, the this is a good series. Me, I’m done because I can’t stand not knowing it’s a cliffhanger before I make a decision to read it.

Dark mafia romance at its best
One of the best books I ever read over the mafia/bratva.
Human trafficking is one level too low for the Severinov family. So, when he sees the chance to save one of the girls who are about to be sold into slavery, Leo seizes it and persuades Myla to return to her family. That is the start of a chaotic obstacle course to avoid deadly traps with a.o. Las Vegas and the desert in the background.
The whole series is a must.

This story is riveting it grabs a hold of you from the beginning right until the end. Trying to figure out all the twists and turns not to mention the betrayal will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Nobody writes a better Bratva story that truly captures the essence of danger and the darkness they live in and are surrounded by. I would definitely recommend this book.
