So I read all the books in this series and this review will cover ALL of them.
This series was an enjoyable read. The storyline, however, was very interesting and if you are really into greek mythology, you'd probably get a real kick out of this book because the author really does bring a lot of greek myths and all (if not, most) greek gods and goddesses into play.
I enjoyed a lot of the battle scenes and interactions between the characters and especially the twists and turns this story takes. But there was just something missing within this whole series that felt disconnected. I still can't pinpoint what that is. Maybe a disconnection from the characters? Some parts of the storyline didn't quite make sense? I don't know.
All in all, a good book filled with adventure and epic scenes/battles.
Hm, I had high hopes for this, also because of the high ratings.
The prologue was great and I was hoping for a great new series, even though the plot was very very obvious from the beginning.
BUT. Anna Smith felt like a version of Anastasia and Zeus in human shape was the omnipotent, super-rich and powerful, but vulnerable and hurt Christian. Just without the pseudo-BDSM...
Not sure, why that was, but I couldn't come back from that.
This book is a whirlwind of a story with all the juicy bits you would want, romance, betrayal, love, loss and gods. A well written and fast paced story I couldn’t put down.
OK, where do I start with this? Cover looks good, premise looks good. The problem? Sloppy writing, bad formatting, and several spelling mistakes. Defintely needs an editor and a decent formatter.
Intrigued me enough to go buy the 2nd installment and I don't normally read installments. I prefer endings but the way Odette wove the characters and story, I had no choice. ;)
