Good resource but a dry read. US centric as many of these types of books are, but at least does acknowledge UK, Europe and Japan.

Comprehensive survey of many fountain pen brands from all over the world, though light on details for specific pen lines. Emphasis on the US, but Europe section is substantial. Japanese section skimpy, but forgivable given the language barrier. Printed by Sotheby's which adds to the reputation of the book. But cheaper pen lines such as Esterbrook and Wearever not covered at all. Photos in black and white only.

A must have for fountain pen junkies. If nothing else, you can go over all that FP porn on glossy paper.

The one piece of unexpected "knowledge" is some personal anecdotes that served as a confirmation of what kind of company I thought Montblanc is.
