FACTORY GIRL: part 5 of 6

NEW! An Amazon exclusive!

From the international bestselling author of STOP THE WEDDING! (now a Hallmark Channel movie) and the wildly popular COMA GIRL serial comes a new story of comedy and small-town grit:

FACTORY GIRL
Long hours, low pay, and big dreams...

Hi there. I'm Hattie Morehead, and for a 19-year-old, I've screwed up my life pretty good so far. I grew up in a town in Tennessee the size of a mud puddle, and I'd planned to be somewhere else by now doing something important. Instead I got myself pregnant, dropped out of high school, and took a job at the same sewing factory that sucked the life out of my mother and my grandmother.

My relatives are shady, my friends are freaks, and my romantic prospects are dim. But this small-town girl has big dreams: Someday I'm gonna get out of here. Someday everyone will know my name. Because someday instead of sewing designer clothes for minimum wage, I'll have my own clothing line.

I admit, at times that day seems far, far away. But I'm gonna make it happen. I simply have to.

For now, I'm hanging in and hanging on... by a thread.

USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.

Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.

In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,

Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.

i always enjoy stephanie bond's serial series. i like to wait until the whole story comes out though. i know that kind of defeats the whole serial part- but i still think the low-key, jut a few pages a day is a good format. doesnt take much to get me into her characters.

Entertaining relationships listening 🎶🔰

This kindle novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book five of six

Hattie has moved into her son's father family home. It is different than what they are use to. She takes the GED and passes. The factory gets a new contract. She is asked to go to New York City.

I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure novels 👍🔰. 2024 👒

FACTORY GIRL: part 5

The word "WOW" comes to mind at this 5th part of the serial. Once again amazing writing, I just love this serial. Stephanie's climatic ending does not disappoint. I am so looking forward to part 6. I would highly recommend this serial!

Thank you Stephanie Bond for your imagination and creativity.

What’s next?

I can’t wait to see what happens with Hattie in the conclusion to this series. How she can keep such a positive attitude and be such a good mother is amazing. Between her family and Booker’s family, I think I would want to run away with my child.

My review is for the entire serial. SPOILERS COMING

I knew Adam and Hattie were supposed to be together. He was the male character introduced first and with detail. I wish I could have seen a bit more of his personality...he came across as the anti-Booker who was supportive of his (non-Hattie) girlfriend, but kissed Hattie once and gave her a used backpack.
Since he kinda disappeared, I kept looking at Booker to see if there was some reason I should like him less, but he was a decent guy and they DID have chemistry (pool)...until Christmas (hat).
I'm glad Yonder was saved and I'm glad that even though she threw away a LOT of chances, she still got bulldozed into making something of herself and the town.
I had to keep reminding myself she was 19.
Best read as a serial. I don't know if I'd like reading it in one fell swoop.

Hattie has moved in with the Bookers and it seems that Booker is jealous of Adam. The wedding dress is finished and the a different piece of clothing turns out to have belonged to a famous singer.

Matters at the factory are not improving and if it closes down the entire town may end up closing. Meanwhile the matter of her getting her GED is settled.

Something really good ends up happening.

I much prefer Adam to Booker as far as a possible romantic interest for her. Booker's family is really stuck up and I don't think she'd be comfortable living with them but I imagine that issue will be settled in the last book in the series.

I also like the fact that she's tryng to get her GED.

Hattie Moorhead is back. She is still working in the Manning Sewing Factory in Tennessee.

Great Read! The narrator is Hattie Moorhead, the country girl, and single mom working at the Manning Sewing Factory. The characters are an ensemble cast that revolves around and with Hattie. In this fifth book in the series, the storyline continues.

This drama/comedy had me turning the pages. I can't wait to read the end.

Stephanie Bond can write super well. She can also tell a story. I am not giving this story 5 stars because this story was so depressing. I kept reading hoping for some happiness. Even when there were small character victories, the victories were not celebrated except for a quick pat on the back. I will read part 6 to see what happens, but this is not my favorite S. Bond book.

I finished part 6 - Nice HEA. I just wish there was some build up of the H in part 1-5.

Wow!

I've binge read the first five parts and amm getting ready to start the final part. I'm going to miss visiting Yonder and the locals who live there. I've come to know them and feel like they have become friends. I've faced the ups and faced the downs with all of them and just when I thought things were going good for everyone at the factory...BAM! So many things need to be settled yet for Hattie, hopefully she chooses the right one.

Wow

So Hattie saves the factory with a big score from the Kenzie Jamison and romance in the air. But why would someone set the factory on fire. Maybe the manning were in big trouble

Decisions

Where will this story end? It looks like a happy ever after and very quickly becomes another crisis. I am hooked. How will it end?

I read all of these. They were fun, but I HATE the way the entire book - one book - is released as six parts on Kindle. What a pain!

This is book 5 in the series. It is a daily serial so this is the month of November. Hattie is a young single mother who works at a sewing factory. Hattie has to deal with problems at the factory, her family, raising her son, and making ends meet. It is fun to read the serial day by day to see what happens. It is very enjoyable!

Fantastic!

My summer was pretty busy with no time to relax and enjoy a book. I know so sad. I just finished part 1 through 5. I am loving this story and can’t decide who Hattie should be with. I think I have an idea about who set the fire, can’t wait to see if I’m right in part 6.

I did not realize this was so short

While the “book” or should I say sample was well written, I found it irritating. She gets food aid, can’t pay for an important exam, lets others buy her expensive cloths, designer shoes/purse and can put all her child support into savings? Where I come from thats fraud. Child support is to cloth, feed and house your child at the current time.

Great story

I can't believe there is only one part left in this series. Each part is better than the last. Everything moves so fast that before you know it you've reached the end.

WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE GOING UP SOMETHING WILL BRING IT BACK DOWN

Hattie's whole life seemed to be falling apart; factory closing, layoffs happening soon, staying at a house for rich people when you're poor, and having them hate you; makes for an interesting time.

I can’t wait for part 6!! OMG poor Hattie!! I wonder if the factory was torched for the insurance? Who knew a new contract would come in and was it then to late to find who was hired to call off the arsonist. This fire was no coincidence! And missing money? Only the family had that kind of access.
