Demons. Death. Deliverance. All these Issa must face as darkness strikes into the heart of their last stronghold. Greater demons are rising from the Pit, Carvon is brutally attacked, and a horrifying murder forces her and her companions to flee. Despite their devastating loss, Issa must keep her oath to the Shadow Demons and alone reclaim the mighty spear of legend that can save them. But to find Velistor, she must venture deep into The Murk and face all the might of the Demon Wizard Karhlusus. Asaph’s destiny calls to him, but it will take an ancient, awakening dragon and a terrible price to free himself from Cirosa’s deadly chains. All around there is war and chaos but the dark moon is rising once more to spread its light upon the world. With its power Issa has a chance to stand against the darkness and fight the terrifying evil rising from the Abyss. Beautifully written, A Evermore's descriptive style of writing effortlessly transports the reader to the magical land of Maioria. The main characters have changed from who they were in Night Goddess, the first book. Battle weary, but determined to triumph over the evil that scours the land. Having watched this development, You really care about these characters, and feel the same emotions they feel. Deeply moving, exciting and shockingly sad in parts, Demon spear is a stunning book. I cannot wait for the next instalment in the series.

Yikes

I must keep reading this story. The battles between the demons and the Raven Queen are so realistic that I feel like I am there.

Having survived the Storm Holt, after being rescued by demons, Issa now has to return to honour her promise to the demons by retrieving the Demon Spear, accompanied by her little demon sidekick Maggot. The whole book gallops along at breakneck speed, taking you on a mad ride through the demon worlds.
Each of Araya's books is better than the last and I'm hoping the next book 'Dragons of the Dawn Bringer' won't be long in arriving. In the meantime I'm off to read the books again, slowly this time , to enjoy all the nuances!

This series just keeps getting better and much more powerful, just could not stop reading because both issa and asaph were following their own exciting adventures!! asaph's meeting with the dragons both outside and in the dragon dream was awesome but scary!! Pity the dream unravelled. Issa's adventure with maracon and his army to locate the evil karhlusus and have it killed by the demon spear is very exciting!! Maggot is very likeable as of course is the magnificent horse who stands by issa no matter what!! Maracon is a spy and does not realise this, though the seer and witch could feel there was something dangerous around him as did issa but no one is catching on why they feel this way about him!! serving as a spy for baelthrom is going to devastate this great honourable cursed king! but for this we are going to have to wait for the next book and i cannot wait!! i need to go on reading this gripping series!!
