The title does not describe this book: the wedding did not seem hasty.

Holly Lamb and Blake Fallon have worked together for a bit of time. She is a better for at Hopechest Ranch than the previous secretary. Blake invites her to the Barn Dance put on by the Coltons and she seems to dance with everyone but him until the end. She then starts letting him know of her interest with gifts, cookies and a picnic, which Blake antagonizes over because he is her boss. They work it out, and then Holly realizes that her father might be the one who contaminated the water. She pushes Blake away and goes to Rafe, Rory, and the other police agencies. Blake follows, unwittingly, and then is with the officers. Because of conversations, this book and the next one seem to be concurrent (?).

Todd confesses everything to his daughter while she is wearing a wire. When he suggests poisoning Blake, Holly cannot hide her shock, which alerts him that she may be lying. The officers and Blake rescue her and then Blake and Holly get engaged. The epilogue is of Holly's wedding to Blake.
