Lady Druscilla Selby has been kept practically under lock and key ever since her sister's kidnapping. Now her father has hired a footman as her protector. The real problem, of course, is that the enigmatic Scotsman awakens in Druscilla feelings she cannot explain. Original Regency Romance.
I enjoyed this light read. The author Marcy, was going for the agonizing misunderstanding that kept lovers apart. Marcy even got the lady in the story to say that , “in novels that Jane Austen and Fanny Burney, wrote, the path to true love is not easy.” I suspect that the author was projecting modern, American values and opinions on to 18th century English people.
The book was awesome! The plot made me not want to put the book down because I was itching to find out what would happen next since there were so many things that could happen and you do not know what to expect.
