Award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration.
Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books.
Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception.
If you are looking for an author who speaks your language or vernacular then you might like to know that I was born in Arkansas, grew up in the Mississippi Delta as a farmer's daughter. I enjoyed this book, even though it seemed short. This book is made up of lots of short ghostly hauntings which the Tibbs family take care of while getting advise on there love life and relationship woes. This is book four in the series and you don't need to have listened to the other books to enjoy this one because the author gives you a brief history of past cases of a gentle reminder of what has happened. I like how the siblings are are now getting a handle on there gifts and not hiding from it any more. I love the idea of the playful ghost cat and the mischief she gets up to, as well as the other great characters. It is a fun cozy paranormal great for a little something different.
Becky know what to do with ghosts, as she handles them everyday but relationships terrify her. Is Patrick moving to fast for the shy, innocent Becky? At the same time can she help a ghost to help a living person trapped in a cage or a young woman about to make a big decision? The ghosts also need her help like the one trapped in the wall. With so much going on will she find the time to come to her own decision about her relationship and just relax and enjoy Valentine's day?
I like the narrator as she knows the characters so well that she times it perfectly for when it should be exciting or emotional.

Becky Tibbs is in love--but is scared to death. Patrick is everything any girl wishes her boyfriend would be--but innocent Becky can't be pushed--and thankfully Patrick realizes it!
Luckily Becky has a ghost sponsor who can fill her in on matters that she is not sure of--lots of actually good information--including how to keep her mother (a ghost) from just popping in whenever she darn well pleases. Of course her brother and sister want to know how to do this also--Mom is still trying to get them to do as she wants-even though she is dead!
Becky helps several people in this one--as does her sister and brother who up until a while ago have been fighting seeing all these ghosts!
These are really light and clean novels which will have you reading all the way through. I have to say that I love the ghost kitty and puppy!!

March 9, 2021Once again, Kathleen Britt is a great voice for the fourth book in this delightful cozy mystery series. We plan to continue the work together with book five and the first box set audiobook. A Medium's Valentine's Day Delight audiobook published on February 2, 2021. As one reviewer said, "Wonderful and delightful! if you’re looking for something a little lighthearted, a wonderful distraction from what’s going on in the world, this is what you want to read. Not only this book but all the books in the series. you will fall in love with Becky and her siblings. as Becky continues to help her fellow citizens, with their ghost problems, you can’t help but fall in love with each and every character. however, in the third book, and this the fourth book of the series, Becky is a mentor. You need to read the previous book to find out how she became a mentor, and you will absolutely love her mentee. I find this to be a wonderful wonderful series to read! You will not be disappointed!"

Love wins out?
Another light easy read but just note that it in fact just over 85% of the page count. A few proofing errors but nothing major. A plot that covers the growing relationships the three siblings have with each other, their partners and people who they come in contact with. Plus it covers how she parents try to micro manage their children's lives even in death. It covers a few cases that she comes to get involved with. From an elderly woman kept in a cage to a young servant that passed away years ago. It also allows the reader to follow the deterioration of Mike's mental health. Although he was the one to dump her sister after finding out she too can see ghosts now he is becoming filled with more and more rage as he sees her developing a new relationship. Will he act on it?

Persian ghost kitten, a gift to Becky a medium, as well as a sister and brother, though they don’t lay claim to being able to. Becky sees and talks to dead people and pets. The antics of Prissy made an additional humor to this story, as well as now having an allie of when the mother is thinking of coming. Cute story.

Becky Tibbs is at it again. She is no-nonsense and very thorough when she is helping ghosts and the living. This book was no exception. There were a couple more cases to solve in this one and the storyline moved on nicely.
Becky is inexperienced in love and relationships. Lucky for her, Patrick is kind and considerate of her feelings. Patrick seems to be the perfect boyfriend, always there when she needs him.
I enjoy the other characters in this book very much. I am excited to see what happens next!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. Becky is feeling restless with her life even with the new boyfriend and ghost kitten. She needs to change things a bit and make her mother understand to stay out of her life if not invited. When she gets a tip about a woman being help in a cage and passes it on to Patrick, she doesn't realize how it will affect the future. Suspense and a quick plot will have you listening to it in one shot. Looking forward to the next book.

Chariss Walker has written a delightful series about a family of mediums. In this fourth book, Becky, the youngest sibling, is learning to juggle managing her business, helping ghosts to transfer over, and her new romance. Each book in the series reveals more about Becky's growth as a medium and the happenings in her siblings' lives and I recommend this series to those who like cozy mysteries involving family and ghosts. Kathleen Britt's narration is clear and precise. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

A Medium’s Valentine’s Day Delight. Book 4 in the Becky Tibbs series.
Just finished this very appealing book. Becky truly is a delight! Her joy in her developing feelings for Patrick, and her love of her medium work is very inspiring. She revels in and enjoys her dealings with the spirits, and is so happy when she helps them to cross over. Bobby and Barbara are also becoming more involved with the spirits and want to develop their skills.
All in all a very good clean read.

Barb & Marty break up, both move on, but do they really. Bobby and Hillary become a couple, Patrick and Becky become closer. Valentine's day brings big surprises for all three siblings with a way to hold "mom" in check except when they invite her to come visit. I have enjoyed all the stories that come up with each new holiday and the surprises that they hold for each couple as they become better acquainted with each other.

Not as good as the previous books in three series
The interesting part of these books is the medium work. This book is more about a corny romance. It's disappointing because the ghost mysteries are are intriguing. The romances are unrealistic and cloyingly sweet, like a bad dessert.

Becky moves forward in her relationship with Patrick and helps someone new with the same gifts Becky can do helping the ghosts. I also like the ghost cat that Becky has and would like more in the story about animals. Goo story for young adults.

I find that these books of Ms. Walker are more than cozy mystery books. They also want to teach too. I like her ideas of what happens after death. Enjoy reading them--On to the next. Recommend reading.
