Mystery arises at Secondhand Blessings when Martha promises to hold a unique crazy quilt for her late mother’s best friend Anne, who says it is a family heirloom. But then an elderly Amish customer comes along and demands that she be allowed to buy the quilt, claiming that it belonged to her family. Do the two share some connection the Classens don’t know about? Can Amish neighbor Rachel Fischer help the sisters uncover the clues they need from members of the tight-lipped Amish community? As the sisters piece together the patchwork of tantalizing clues amid Amish and Englishers alike, they soon realize that solving this mystery is not as easily sewn up as they had hoped.

Meanwhile, a friendly Mennonite deliveryman joins Bill in the queue of would-be suitors for free-spirited Mary. But is she ready to give her heart to him, or anyone else, just yet?

This takes place around Independence Day. The story involves a disputed quilt and a packet of letters. The sisters try to find out who the rightful owner of the quilt is. I was surprised by the ending. I thought it was going to go in a different direction.

The sisters have a quilt for sale and two women come in wanting it, both insisting the quilt is a family heirloom. This leads to the sisters trying to find more out about the quilt. The two women have been on the outs for decades, so the sisters try to solve that problem also. Along the way they learn of an interesting group of Amish women who have circles.

I just finished reading this Mysteries of Lancaster County . A very good book that shows forgiveness & love.
Two different women are wanting the same quilt found at the Secondhand Blessing store owned by 3 sisters located in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. They both claim that it is their family heirloom.
Wanting the quilt to go to the correct family the 3 sisters start trying to find the answer to whom they should sell this unique quilt to.

This book tells the delightful store of five young Amish girls "the 1907 girls". as young teenagers they formed a "circle". One girl wrote a letter and sent it to the next, that girl read the first letter and wrote her own, she sent both to the 3 girl, then the 4th and the 5th girl got four letters to read. She wrote her own letter and sent them all to the first girl. She writes another letter and keeps the Circle Unbroken.

Another mystery for the sisters at Secondhand Blessings to solve. Two customers claim ownership of a quilt as their family heirloom. Digging up past history can be interesting and frustrating. Another look into the Amish lifestyle brings about a resolution to a broken childhood friendship. All is well at the end. I recommend this as a good read.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s not my typical five stars material but I wanted to give kudos to the authors for creating a cozy mystery that was interesting and moving but not involving the typical danger of a murder or break ins and whatnot. It is just a nice mystery with drama to keep it interesting. It was exactly what I needed to relax with a good story.

A good clean change from alot of mysteries. Suspenseful and fun with good, Christ like core values. The ending was not what I expected. Through the entire book, I thought it would end differently. But it couldn't have ended any better. A real must read.

Best so far in the series! The sisters learn more about life at the turn of the century for the Amish and how little it has changed. There is also a mystery to solve, customers to serve, and old wounds to heal along the way. A good read for a wintry day.
