I won this book from a Goodreads Giveaway and I read it with my nine-year-old grandson. He’s been struggling with some bullying at school and this really seemed to help him with some ideas on how to deal with the bully kids. It’s sad that in this day and age there are actually books on how to deal with this stuff. But it is what it is and this workbook gave my grandson a lot of ideas and allowed him to put his own thoughts down on paper to assist him with situations he may encounter and ones he has already had to deal with at school. I think this is an awesome book for any grade school child whether or not they are dealing with bullying or not.

Well written covering the ground around bullying and meanness well in some very recognizable scenarios. I see exactly these things also occurring in middle school but the typeface and images are a bit childish for this age group. I particularly struggled with the font and also the lack of consistency in size. I can see some of the checklists & questionnaires used in advisory . The book would be greatly strengthened by a few extra pages addressed to parents and some addressed to adults on how to help students - bullied & bullying alike.

In current state I’d say suitable for primary.

*I won this book as a Goodreads Giveaway

As a social worker, this is an amazing tool to use with at risk elementary youth. As a mom, I can use this at home as well.

I do wish it could be used for a little older children, but with the illustrations and wording, I wouldn't push it past 3rd or 4th grade.
