Silence is golden. Honesty...not so much.

Gwen Palmer's saucy mouth gets in the way of her heart's desire...thanks to her fairy godmother's mixup. Just when Gwen is about to trade her baker's hat for a nun's habit, she comes face to face with her cooking idol, Ethan Reynolds.

Ethan isn't immune to Gwen's loose lips. Nor her quirkiness. And something about her smile tugs at his heart. Will he look beyond her outrageous remarks and see the truth inside? Or will Gwen lose her one chance at true love?

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m glad it won’t be the last. This is a short story/novella with a little bit of a magic twist. Gwen runs a bake shop that is visited by Ethan, the host of a cooking show. Hilarity and romance soon ensue. Gwen is a very interesting, fun character, and Ethan was a nice foil for her; he thought her tendency to say inappropriate things was funny…after he realized that was what she was doing. I loved how quirky and fun this book was, and while I wished it had a little bit more magic/paranormal to it, it was still a fun, romantic story. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This was a new to me author. I liked the idea of a tipsy fairy godmother and couldn't wait to read it. I was NOT disappointed. The fairy godmother herself was a fun character. Gwen was hilarious. She has absolutely no filter and whatever she thinks come out of her mouth. Imagine seeing the hottest guy you have ever seen. Now imagine all thoughts in your head popping out of your mouth. Yep, that is the problem that poor Gwen has. I was giggling at the things that came out of this girl's mouth. This book is tremendous fun and I can't wait until book 2 comes out. Unfortunately, I have to wait all the way until October 2020 for that.

I loved this story!
Gwen is probably one of the most normal book characters I have ever read, she's not perfect doesn't say the right things at the right time and she definitely doesn't just throw herself at men.
When I started this book Ethan bothered me so much. He was a bit too concieted in my opinion. Sure your a semi famous chef, but it felt like he thought everything revolved around him.
description
But once we break through his shell we see that he's not such a bad guy. Honestly it was the messed up things Gwen says that really made this book for me. It had me laughing out loud and flipping through the pages faster.
I feel like Ethan and Gwen made a wonderful couple and I love to see a part two of them!

Awesome gem you do not want to miss!

WARNING – seriously funny, many laugh-out-loud moments within these pages!
I absolutely LOVED this book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next in the series! Fairy Misguided was such a fun, charming story. The characters were endearing and the storyline was lighthearted, heartwarming and oh so funny! Gwen was quirky and adorable and I laughed my rear off at her outbursts. My hubby actually asked me to get up and go somewhere else to read if I was going to laugh at everything I read – hahaha!

There was really nothing about this book that I did not enjoy. The prologue intrigued me and pulled me in with the background behind the gift; I was interested to see how this would fit into the story. When I started reading the first chapter – the conversation between Gwen and Mrs. Haverty – I was curious at the direction the story would go. By the time I got to Gwen’s introduction with Ethan and reading her blunders, I knew this was going to be great. I settled in my comfy chair and got down to business.

This book is not long, I read it in one sitting (took me about an hour and a half) but the shorter length did not take away from the overall story. It was well-written, even-paced, and I was engaged from the first page. All the characters were delightful and added something to the story and it was exciting to see how Gwen and Ethan’s relationship unfolded. From their rocky start to their happy ending it was an enjoyable experience. And the setup for the next book in the series was great. I am really looking forward to seeing what humorous adventures are next in this series. It is too bad The Flaky Tart is not a real place; it seems like an awesome place to visit.

“I’m cursed to be single and alone. I might as well start adopting cats and wearing housecoats.” - Gwen Palmer

Gwen Palmer is a successful baker; she has a magic touch with pastries, but not so much when it comes to her love life. She can't seem to keep her thoughts to herself... Especially when face to face with the extremely handsome and sexy Ethan Reynolds!

Ethan Reynolds, a famous on-air chef, stops in at "The Flaky Tart" to pick up cupcakes... Not HIS idea, but his sister insists he NOT make the cupcakes for his parent's anniversary. When the hot blonde behind the counter invites him to "lick her cupcake", all bets are off. Ethan is still feeling burned by his former lover, Rachel. But he can't seem to get Gwen out of his mind...

“Commotion, huh? What was it this time? Did she ask you to squeeze her buns?” - Maddie

But somehow, despite having a strong resolve, Ethan can't get Gwen out of his mind. His imagination runs wild; those eyes, that sunshine hair, her luscious lips.... And her quirky habit of blurting out whatever thought was in her head...

“I want to sample some more of your recipes. You teased me with the lemon cream and raspberry cupcakes.” His voice was a delicious deep timbre, that stirred butterflies in her stomach. “I need more.” - Ethan

Oh wow!!! Loved it!!! Fun, quirky, and quickly moving from innocent to sultry in a snap, with a kiss of magic and a whirlwind of forever love swirling throughout.

Gwen Palmer’s having a rough day. Her mouth gets her in trouble a lot, you know, because that filter is missing from her brain that should stop her from saying the first thing that pops in it. This time it’s not a date, or a friend though. It’s a perfect stranger that happens to come into her bakery, The Flaky Tart, to pick up some cupcakes for his parents’ anniversary.
“Would you like to lick my cupcake?” quickly followed, “I mean, would you like to bite my muffin?” This was said to the stranger who happened to be in her bakery when it was chock full of customers. Friends and neighbors alike heard her comments!
Ethan Reynolds isn’t just any stranger though, he’s a successful television chef who thinks he’s being pranked by his sister. I mean, who just blurts out things like that to a stranger?? He’s mentally cursing his sister and her order to pick up these cupcakes from a bakery when he could’ve made them himself, he is a famous chef after all.
The heat flies between Ethan and Gwen. Gwen’s ability to blurt out the wrong thing at the right time had me bursting out in laughter several times while reading. I read this in one sitting because it was so good!
I loved the writing, the story, and the characters, I can’t wait to read more of this series. It’s a wonderful take on the Fairy Godmother that we all love from Cinderella.

Fast and funny read with a sprinkle of magic.
Gwen has no luck in dating, especially due to her little mishaps when it comes to brutal honesty - she definitely has no brain-to-mouth filter. This can lead to many embarrassing situations, and when her idol Ethan Reynolds enters the bakery to buy some muffins, her slip-ups lead to complete mortification. Sure, he is hot and attractive and everything what Gwen would love to become, but saying such direct things at first contact? Only fate could fix the hilarious situation...
This is a light and entertaining story, with many awkward situations that make the reader laugh out loud. I have no idea how I would react in Gwen's place, and many times I wanted to stop reading from pity of the poor girl, not willing to see her embarrass herself even more. Yet curiosity made me go on, and I am glad. Even though I would like to see more backstory, more world building, more in-depth character development, the story was still very enjoyable. I only hope we get to know the fairy godmother much better :)

This book was absolutely adorable! It had me laughing and grinning like a fool! From the adorable aspect of a fairy godmother, to Gwen’s hilarious unfiltered mouth, to Ethan’s kind sexy self, there was so much to love about this story.

It was cute, original and super fun! I fell in love with Gwen! She was quirky, loved to bake, kind, and was self-conscious at times. She is just one of those characters that I just felt like I could be great friends with in real life. And then their was the generous, sexy and loving Ethan.

The chemistry between Ethan and Gwen was magnetic! Even without the sexy, intimate chemistry, there was so much more to them. They connected on so many levels that there was no room for doubt that they belonged together.

This story overall just had me captivated hook line and sinker. I couldn’t stop reading. I just fell in so deep with this story and felt so connected to the characters.

I genuinely can’t wait for book 2 in this series!

I loved this story it was griping from the start and I couldn't put it down it will have you up all night.it's a story full of laughter and lovable character that will have you wanting more.this I a story about Gwen who owns the flaky tart bakery that was handed down from her grandmother.Gwen has a hard time trusting men after she had her heart broke and has a habbit of saying the first thing that come to mind.her filter is not very good as she find out one day when Ethan walks in to her bakery one day and there instant chemistry between them.she asks if he would like to lick her cupcake.she's mortified and trys again but it come out as would you like to bite my muffin.Ethan didn't no what to think and runs out the bakery.but with a bit of help from Mrs haverty(eliza) and some magic things start to turn aground.id definitely recommend this book and can't wait till the next one.

Fairly Misguided was so much fun to read. I found myself laughing a lot!! I appreciate humor in my stories very much, and this book was just fun to read. Gwen just says whatever pops in her head, and she had me cracking up.

Fairy Misguided is about Gwen Palmer. A great baker with the an unusual ability to create super delish pastries. But when it comes to her love life, not so much. So when she comes face to face with Ethan Reynolds, a famous on air chef, she does not bat an eyelash on being herself. Ethan is caught up in Gwen and her unusual ability to speak her mind. Things are fixing to get sweet!!

I hope you choose to read Fairy Misguided, if you do look forward to laughing a lot and finish reading with a smile on your face.

Super cute and quirky.
Whether Gwen is twitterpated, addlebrained, or just loose lipped, she can't stop her thoughts from pouring out of her mouth. The fact that she looses her inner thoughts in front of a local panty dropping handsome celebrity when he stops in at her pastry shop, mortifies her, but instantly raises his curiosity.
The awkwardness leaves them both confused and curious.
The fact that her sudden attraction takes place so close to her getting a "special" gift for her birthday doesn't dampen the feeling.
Ethan can't seem to stay away from this entertaining and sexy baker, despite the no relationship pact he's made with himself

I laughed so hard, I snorted!

"Want to lick my cupcake?" I died! Poor Gwen has no filter, and when her idol walks into her shop to order lemon scones (or lemon something; all I can think about are cupcakes and muffins! Lol!), that's what she asks him! Then, in an attempt to recover, she asks, "Do you want to eat my muffin?" These are only two of most hilarious lines in what has to be the funniest book I've ever read! Elena Gray hit this one out of the park. I so can't wait for book two. The humor will leave you in stitches! Five-star read, hands down!

Triple Lemon Cupcakes wirh...

Gwen is an owner of a bakery and is a hoot! The things that come out of her mouth! If course, she views it as a curse. She speaks what's on her mind.
Apparently her fairy godmother, Eliza, made a wish that ended in disaster for Gwen. Eliza goes to her friend, Twila, to find an object she thinks will help break the curse.
Enter Ethan, Chef extraordinaire. His first impression of Gwen is not good. He believes he has been pranked. Wait until you read the story of these two. Fireworks!

Laughed my socks off, Brilliant book that seems to have been written about me - well almost. Every one says i have no filter but Gwen certainly doesnt expecially when it comes trying to speak around Ethan, she gets ultra flustered and comes out with some seriosuly funny quotes. Honestly this book is brilliant for a warm hearted love storey that will have you in stitches and wondering where you can get some one to lick your cupcake or butter your crumpets!!!

Laugh out Loud Good!!!!

This story made me laugh out loud at the nurses station at work!! Totally loved it! It is light hearted and sweet! Gwen’s mouth is the best part of the story! To be able to get away with saying some of what she said would be great! And cooking killer cupcakes to boot?

I wish there were more to it. I simply wasn’t done reading or being a part of this story! And now I’ve got to wait until October to read more?!?! Bummer. I can’t wait to read more!

It was cute, but underdeveloped

While this was a cute story, but left a lot to be desired. From the plot to the characters the whole thing was underdeveloped, lacking details, and didn’t give me a chance to know the characters. Although, it was well edited and had a HEA. I may give the author a try after a few books and the writing is more developed.

It wasn't what I excepted but it did exceed my expectations

I guess you shouldn't assume what a book is going to be until you actually read it. That being said I loved this book. It was a fate of love type book. The first chapter already had me laughing out loud and let's not forget the sexiness at the end. Definite need to read book.

Cute

Fairy Misguided was a cute short book. Shorter than I expected, and not as funny as I’d been told, but it did make me smile sometimes. Well written, and as the first book I’d read by this author, a good impression. I may read more of her books.

So funny

This book is hilarious but a little cheesy too. I guess that's what you get with a rom com. This is not my normal type of book but after reading the blurb I couldn't pass it up and I am so glad I didn't. Fantastic characters.

Delightful!

A real treat to read! Delightful and light hearted with a nice HEA. I love the idea of a slightly off the rocker fairy godmother helping those in need find love. Also adored Gwen’s bumbling mouth in the presence of Ethan. Can’t wait to read the next one!

Sweet

I love her honesty in this book, just wish her self doubt wasn’t as strong. Ethan is a great guy, has a lot on his plate and yet still finds the time to stop by her shop and help the kids decorate cookies. It’s super sweet.
