Three years have passed since Jacobi and Giselle last saw each other. The holidays are normally meant to bring everyone together for joy and celebration. Join these two as they try to not only piece their lives back together but also find unexpected love along the way. Find out what it means to have Xmas with a real one.

Xmas With A Real One was such a good book! I absolutely loved the storyline. After going through some unfortunate situations, Giselle and Jacobi are trying to pick up the pieces and start their lives over. Giselle is a chef who gets fired and blackballed for sleeping with her married boss and Jacobi is fresh out of jail after serving three years because his sister lied on him. Yeah, these two are going through it. They both move in with their married friends (Nia and Marshawn) who happens to be Giselle's BFF and Jacobi's brother. Giselle and Jacobi actually has history. Three years ago, they were suppose to go on a date but, Jacobi stood Giselle up and she's been salty ever since. These two are like oil and water. They do NOT get along but, having to live together in the same house forces them to reevaluate their feelings for one another. Giselle and Jacobi realize that neither are the same person from three years ago and they've grown and matured significantly. I loved that they were hesitant to talk to Nia or Marshawn about the issues they had going on but, they had no problem confiding in each other. It shows the level of trust they had in one another and they didn't even realize it. Giselle and Jacobi were just adorable as a couple. They fit each other perfectly. Xmas With A Real was an mazing love story. Tay Mo'Nae is very quickly becoming a favorite author of mine.
I loved the originality of this story line, a chef and an ex-con. Two unfortunate souls forced to celebrate the holidays together and spreading more than just holiday cheer. This book also helped me realize that I love enemies to lovers storylines. Great read!
I loved the introduction and development of Jacobi & Giselle’s relationship….The two of them had a issues to overcome in order to move forward….it was good that the two of them realized that they could help one another….which lead to the beginning of their relationship….Cute Story
Short and sweet and I absolutely loved it! Giselle and Jacobi were the cutest 🥰 I was so happy they gave into what they were feeling for each other. So happy Giselle was able to bounce back and Jacobi chose not to go back to the streets. I would love a full story on their relationship.
Jacobi and Giselle finally found a way to be cordial to one another. Giselle was trying to pick back up after a downfall and Jacobi was trying to get his life straight after prison. They both managed to help one another, along with the help of Marshawn and Nia. I would love to read more about Jacobi and Giselle later!
This was so sweet. I loved Jacobi and Gisselle. They were meant to be. Now you know you need to have a follow up on those 2. Nia and Marshawn was so perfect, almost to perfect but I loved the love they had for each other.
I enjoyed reading about Jacobi and Giselle. I’d like to hear more about them. Now that they are both getting on their feet and have some hope in their individual situations it would be dope to read more about their budding love story.
It was so refreshing to read a good book with little to no errors, I really enjoyed reading about these two couples and I’m happy Giselle and Jakobi got together and hopefully read more about them.
Yoooo Tay did her thing. I love Tay's books and definitely enjoy her book baes however I think Jacobi has stolen my heart. I am waiting to hear more from Jacobi and Gabrielle. One of my favorite Christmas stories written this year. Great job Tay.
Giselle moved back home to restart her life after things didn't end well with her and her last job. It's been three-years since she's been gone and three-years since she saw Jacobi, her best friend fiancé's brother. Jacobi spent the last three years away but now that he’s home he is determined to get his life on track and stay out the streets. Giselle hated Jacobi’s mean ways while Jacobi didn't like her smart mouth but they quickly learn to deal with each other which then causes their true feelings to show.
I loved Jacobi's character he was getting a second chance at life and he was determined to turn his life around. Giselle was also getting a second chance after being forced to move back home when she was fired, I loved her focus and while she was dealing with some things alone she never lost sight of her goals. They were so cute together, their little play hatred for each other was over real quick. I loved how supportive Jacobi was even when he had his own issues to fix he was there for Giselle. Giselle gave Jacobi the push he needed to handle his family issues.
What I liked the most about this read was how real Tay Mo’nae kept this story. Jacobi had valid reason for his feelings towards his sister and it wasn’t an oh I’m sorry bro I did you wrong and Jacobi forgives her and they live happily ever after. Sis messed up and Jacobi kept it real he was angry and it would take time for him to get over what she did.
Another good Christmas read with a bit of an urban twist.
I truly hope Giselle and Jacobi have their own story because I loved this book. Grace should've been checking her sorry husband instead of trying to make Giselle's life hard. Jacobi definitely didn't bite his tongue and I understood his frustrations with his sister. Marshawn and Nia had a very good relationship and their love showed regardless of who they were around. I was so happy when Jacobi and Giselle opened up to each other because things started to get better for the both of them. Through all the pain Giselle got the opportunity to spend Christmas with a real one who was able to show her be was a better man than be was in the past.
Ms. Mo'Nae this was a cute holiday novella. I was glad that Giselle was able to turn all of her negatives into positives. I love to see women win and accomplish their dreams. I was glad that Jacobi decided to be on his grown man "ish" and change his life for the better. It's ironic that the two of them tried to date in the past. It goes to show its all about timing and maturity. Jacobi had to have a reality check to finally see the woman Giselle is.
This is a good read, it did have quite a few grammatical and spelling errors. Although it did, I still suggest to read it. It will help get you in the mood for the holidays.
I like the fact that both Jacobi and Giselle are working to both get their lives back on track after having some obstacles in life that they had to go through. I like the growth in Jacobi and the possibilities ahead for him and Giselle. Hopefully Giselle won't hear from Grace nor Kason again. Marshawn and Nia are really good family and friends to help their loved ones out in their time of need.
This was a really sweet read. Christmas novellas are always so beautiful to me. Giselle & Jacobi finally saw in each other what was missing the first time they met. Now in different places they could appreciate each other growth and we saw growth turned into a relationship. Sometimes all you need is space and the one who you didn’t think was YOUR person ends up being YOUR person.
I like how both Giselle and Jacobi past story could of put a damper on the holiday story. But Tay kept it light giving you enough info to give a look on why they are who they are. They were definitely a cute couple and I can't wait to see Tay give us a full story cause sis is definitely pregnant.
Amazing love story I would really enjoy more of these two to see how they turned out and much more it’s nice reading about Genuine love and growth and endurance they both weathered the storm and became close friends and lovers I really want to read more about Jacobi and Giselle
This is another new author to me. I loved the stories of Marshawn and Nia, Jacobi and Giselle. It was a feel good Christmas story all around. I would love to see a story about how Jacobi sealed the deal with Giselle and to see Giselle shut Grace down for good. Now, I'm hungry 😂😂😂. A final proofreading would've cleared up typos, etc. I look forward to reading more of this author.
I liked the dynamic btwn Giselle and Jacobi and that their backstory with each other as well as how things developed the second time around. Both had real deal present day baggage to put down and I liked how they helped each other with that as well. Cute story and looking forward to the Vday continuation!
This little novella gave you all the feels of coming home for the holidays to dodge the drama!! Giselle and Jacobi reminded of teenagers who like each other, but fuss and fight instead of love on each other. Im glad that they actually stopped fighting what was to be and embraced their future in each other!! Five stars Ms. Mo'Nae!!🥰
I absolutely loved this book. Jacobi and Gisselle are so cute together. I definitely want to hear more from them! I would also love a story about Nia and Marshawn, even though I already know that they’ll be together! I can’t wait to read your next book.
I would definitely like to hear more about Jacobi and Giselle. Their story was cute, I like I how they both grew up and gave each other a chance and not stay stuck in their ways.
Can we please get a story about them! I want more love ❤️❤️❤️. I love them both also a back story on their friends and family if you haven’t did one yet 😂😂😂 I definitely looked
I loved the sister relationship between Giselle and Nia, how she always tried to make her feel loved and not alone. I was love to hear more about Ja and Giselle and how there relationship grows. Want to hear more from the sister and to hear about the baby.
I enjoyed this Christmas love story from broken hearts to building friendships to mending family relationships. Then rekindling old bad relationships. Yes I would like more of Giselle and Jacobi.
Girrrrlllllll I need more of Giselle and Jacobi. I need them to have a baby, marriage and drama that comes along with it. Tay you did the damn thing this was short and sweet and I loved but I want more. Keep up the great job!!!!!
I loved the book!! I was happy that Giselle was able to let her guard down with Jacobi. I’m glad she was able to tell Nia the truth! I need more ASAP! I wanna see where things go with Giselle and Jacobi as well
He yes yes and yes I would love to read about how their relationship progresses .. I'm so glad that Jacobi was able to forgive his sister also that's Gisele came clean ToNia about what really happened
