Shiloh hid her secrets well. Most of them had names. Charity’s job at the coffee shop seemed a breeze until death came knocking on her door. Two women, as different as night and day, somehow became best friends. Was it luck? Or was it destiny? As evil forces tried to destroy Shiloh's life, how did Charity always manage to stay one step ahead? Come along as we explore life and death, time and eternity, the purpose of pain, and the power of love.

I love Praying Medic and while I didn't exactly love this book, it was enjoyable enough for his first work of fiction. I felt like it was formatted to mimic The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis (I know PM is a big fan), but the short chapters and the way the book jumped just doesn't suit my preference. I wanted to get more out of the characters and this felt more like a "tell don't show" book. Anyone unfamiliar with DID, demons, angels, Jesus may be confused by this book. If you are familiar with that and Praying Medic's other works, he does pull in healing techniques, the courts of heaven, hearing God's voice, and so on, so it was a good tie-in for his other works. Overall, I'm glad I read it, but it wasn't the writing style I enjoy.
I loved reading the description of Shiloh's meetings with Dad and the blue-eyed man. It made me homesick. I believe the story described a very real picture of the spiritual battles we all face. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes to read, and especially to anyone who has suffered trauma. While it is a work of fiction, it accurately explains how deeply we all are loved by God, and the healing He desires for us.
I'm not sure I would classify this as literature. It's more like the religious trash you get for free in your mailbox. Zero character development, plenty of grammatical errors. Halfway through I googled the author and found out he's q Anon then it all made sense. Just trying to spread some weirdo rhetoric. I received this book in a book club book exchange by someone who clearly didn't understand the book club. Or else I never would have picked up such garbage.
This book describes so eloquently, through it’s main character, Shiloh, what the process of healing from trauma can look like when a soul has been shattered.
I highly, highly recommend this book to those walking through this journey. Do it with “the blue-eyed man” at your side. And you will be just fine.
I've not really understood dissociative personalities. This is a new world for me. I still don't really! I liked the glimpse into healing. I know Jesus & how he loves me. Reading thus made it a little more real.
The story just seemed to be starting and then it just stops. I can’t help but think all I got was a sample. There were only eight chapters. Maybe I didn’t get the complete book.
Excellent analogy of spiritual warfare and a definite page turner. I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this book to any follower of the Light.
Fiction but shares of the truth that "we fight not against flesh and blood but against..." We see Shiloh's transformation as she walks closer with Dad and Jesus and learns tools for walking in healing and battling our true enemies in the spiritual. Interactions with Dad, Jesus and true friends in this book are precious.
I’ve been following the Praying Medic on telegram and this book showed up in the feed with excellent feedback. I loved it...it was an enjoyable read. I have a few other books from this author and am going to read them now. Sure would like him to lead a bible study! Follow him on telegram and you’ll be inspired too.
i read this book because i knew that the authir was a Christian healer i had seen on Its Supernatural. on Revelation TV. It is the story of Shiloh who has had a difficult past and is tormented by her demons. The main protagonists are Shiloh and her best friend and boss in the coffee shop where they both work.Jesus uses Charity to draw her closer to him. Shiloh learns how to overcome the powers of darkness to becone an overconer. A Christian book but very needed life lessons can be learned if you are not.
What I liked the most about this book is the reality of the spirit realm being brought into the light. For some, this book may seem like fiction and that's it; but for others it is a long-awaited validation of their journey. The story line is very good and compelling. You'll want to call in sick from work and READ ALL DAY. I finished this book too soon and can't wait for the next installment. Keep them coming Praying Medic, layers of lies that the demonic work under are being brought to the LIGHT.
I was so EXCITED to hear about this book and purchased it immediately !! I am serious when I said I read it straight through !! Dave, if you are listening, IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT MOVIE !! May this book Bless others as much as it has already Blessed me !! Thank you Denise for all of the support, it shows !!
Praying medic does a great job exploring the subject of disassociation. Using a novel format to expose a subject largely ignored. Having Jesus come into the scenario is the key . I can say from experience that it works. Isaiah 61:1
Great read! What does Godly love look like? Does God see us and embrace us no matter what has been done to us or what we have done? Can healing and release of pain happen while we are living on earth? Does prayer matter? Read this book to find out.
I read it in a couple of hours, Had to stop in a few places and contemplate how the message was affecting me. Love the positive fight against darkness. Keep writing more!! Now is the time!
