Kids are funny! I love hearing some of the little nuggets of wisdom that they will say. I'm around my own children and am constantly around other children so I hear lots of great little nuggets constantly. They bring me a lot of joy. Some days I come home to my family and can't stop giggling over the silly antics and comments I've heard from kiddos.
I've read some of the things that the author's twins have said over the years in her newsletter. This was such a fun little book to read through quickly. I chuckled a lot. I even guffawed pretty loudly other times. If you enjoy kids and their perception of the world, this is a fun read. It didn't take me very long to read through it. I was bookmarking and highlighting several that were my favorites. Definitely a book that will be fun to pull out and share a couple of the quotes with friends and family when we need a laugh. It'll definitely be a fun conversation starter. I have a couple good friends with twins and kept thinking about them and their kiddos while reading this.
It reads very easily and is straight from the author's own twins' comments and perceptions of life.
I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
These boys are hilarious! My daughter is the same age, and I'll be honest it took me a while to get through this book, one because she wanted to read it with me and two, sometimes it was too close to home and I needed an escape instead, so I'd take a break for a while. Still, it was a great book and Lindzee has her hands and heart full with these two.
The things that come out of the mouths of babes! Okay, these incredibly witty little guys aren't exactly babes anymore, but what they are is hilarious. This is a collection of those things that actually came out of their mouths. Having three grown sons, this small book really took me back! One of my favorite quotes: "Thing 2: One of the reasons I haven't been sleeping is because I keep imagining that I'm a farm boy...and there's aliens invading...and there's a gas leak...and the cows fart...". Thanks for the chuckles, Ms. Armstrong!
I read this in less than an hour. There are some real LOL gems here, mostly innocent comments from a lively child's perspective. Why are there no faces on your cover models, Lindzee? And gentlemen, be prepared for dire consequences if you follow this revenge advice on💝 Valentine's Day!😃
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Kids say the funniest things. If you want to know what some eight year old twins say on a daily basis then pick up this quick read full of quotes. Thank you Lindzee for gathering them and sharing them with us.
When I read the blurb I thought “ok, it probably isn’t really a laugh out loud but maybe a smile thing” ah no, it really did make me laugh out loud. Not only that but a “knee slapping” funny thing. If Lindzee made a daily calendar with these sayings on it, I would totally buy it!
As a mom of 3 boys, not twins, and the same religion, I can totally relate. I was laughing out loud in so many places. It's amazing what they can come up with, according to them, I should have been born in the 1600's. LOL. Great, clean, easy, funny read.
Kids do say the darndest things. The author gives a glimpse into the life of being the mother of twin and the funny things they say. There were several chuckle out loud moments.
It's a Twin Thing is a quick, fun read when you need a giggle here at the end of the decade. Actually some of these are laugh out loud funny! You should check this out.
