I've picked up many books on crystal grids, and haven't been drawn to them. They were missing some explanation or clarity, at least for my learning style. This is the first book I've seen that explains the sacred geometry, offers templates for freedom of exploration, and then offers detailed grids to explore or expound upon. Author Karen Frazier is a skilled teacher!
Part 1: Getting Started with Crystal Grids includes backgrounds on sacred geometry, internal atom structures of crystals and how this affects their energy (monoclinic, triclinic, orthorhombic, etc.) and the external shapes of the individual pieces. Frazier discusses colors, different forms of stones in a grid (focus, desire, and directional stones.) She offers 15 grid shapes to work with, explains why each shape is beneficial, then offers layout basics and best uses.
Part Two: Crystal Gridwork in Action was the most impressive for me. Divided into four chapters, each example SHOWS a full-color photo of a grid with outlined background shape from part 1 for each crystal grid, explains WHY each crystal was chosen for said grid, offers a tip on how to take one's work with the grid further (meditations, affirmations, etc.) and finally offers alternative crystals to substitute for each original option. The photos seem to pulse with energy, as these grids are wonderfully powerful!

I have not worked with crystal grids in some time now, so it was a pleasure to have this book cross my path. I appreciate the focus being on daily ritual – something that we can each do for ourselves, and on the areas of heart, health, and happiness. With this lovely tool, we can accomplish so much for ourselves.
Frazier begins with an introduction to crystals, and the energy they carry, then moves on to the power that a crystal grid holds, and how that power is based on the combined power of the crystals being used. She talks about crystal grids in terms of wellness, creativity, prosperity, emotions, and spirituality. She references grid shapes, sacred geometry, the circle, the spiral, and the use of intention. We learn about the role of color, and the shape of the stones.
Elements of a grid include a focus stone, a desire stone, and directional stones. Sample layouts are included for fifteen grids, including a basic circle, the Yin/Yang symbol, a spiral, a triquetra, a lotus, and a triangle. Instructions for each layout include the meaning, the layout basics, and what it is best used to do.
An entire chapter is devoted to working with grids: setting your intention, choosing your grid, and choosing your crystals. Emphasis is placed on trusting your intuition in all steps of the process. Part of the process includes cleansing and charging the crystals, determining your purpose, and finding the right location. (A lot of factors go into finding the right location – including young children and pets.)
There are sample grids that are set up specifically for wellness and healing, including immune system strengthening, autoimmune conditions, weight loss, anxiety, heart health, stress and relaxation, and better sleep. There are also sample grids presented for creativity, including creative dreaming, creative inspiration, and sharing your creative truth. Sample grids for career, wealth, and prosperity include personal wealth, reversing a consciousness of lack, career motivation, and following your passion. This book is not what I was looking for. I wanted a more scientific book about how different minerals and crystals have chemical properties that can change the flow of air, remove impurities, react with other stones to improve energy, or react with electrons in healing ways.
But this book is more spiritual and wishy-washy that I wanted.
The author says in the introduction, "I believe crystals are conscious entities that come from the planet..."
Okay, that just sounds ridiculous. Rocks are not conscious. That is idiotic.
The book starts with some general information about crystal vibrations and how placing them in patterns together will make those vibrations resonate together. There are a lot of details about the types of crystals and patterns to use for different effects.
Then there are grids of suggested patterns and crystals to set up (almost like a recipe) depending on if you want to focus on work, sleep better, relieve allergies, enhance your willpower, relieve depression and anxiety, get creative, or attract wealth with the Law of Attraction.
There is even a buying guide for how to choose crystals to purchase, but it is based on unscientific criteria like holding the crystal in your non-dominant hand and listening to your intuition about the crystal. If you feel it "belongs" with you, then purchase it.
The reader is also given advice on how to "cleanse" the crystals by leaving them in the moonlight or holding them over sage smoke.
I'm so disappointed in this book. I know that there are real scientific studies about the properties of stones and crystals, like salt rock that purifies air by releasing negative ions, but this book is full of nonsense. I'm not a skeptic, I just need some more solid information.
The author has no explanations for WHY these crystal grids would do what they say they ought to do, or WHY crystals should be "cleansed" over sage smoke. I'm not saying I need ten scientific studies to be done, but I would like some kind of reliable information other than your "spirit guide" told you so.

This book is fascinating and delves into combining the energy crystals radiate through the use of crystal grids. The grids discussed are shapes and that have been used for thousands of years. Think Pyramids and Stonehenge there are countless more but that gives you an idea of how timeless this practice is.
The grids draw on Geometry that repeats over and over within Nature and have a deeper meaning. The author suggests that working with grids is a way to increase awareness of the Divine.
This Crystal book is very in-depth and thought provoking.
The book explain how crystals work, and the importance of shapes, colors and various uses for each what's really great is the explanations are complete with pictures and grid designs.

This book introduces readers to use grids to help provide more energy with your crystals. Being an introduction the book is pretty straight forward and simple enough for any beginner. Many times after reading a section I would think of questions only to find the answers as I continued reading. The author did include science and math terms to try to make it more factual but it felt like it contradicted with the overall idea of intuition and crystals.

This book was exactly what I was looking for. I have been studying crystals and wanted to obtain some example grids to get me started. Grids are organized by topics to make it easier for the reader to find what they need.

I love crystals and making grids so this book is right up my alley. It’s easy to use and understanding and the kindle version was easy to navigate and the pictures were great too. If you want to know more about grids this is a great place to start.
