This anthology presents a new approach to the study of applied ethics. Its premise that the issues in applied ethics are addressed too often from narrow North American perspectives, with little attention paid to view points from other cultures. We have added discussions of gender roles, violence, human rights, and AIDS.
Pretty darn good for...well...applied ethics. Gives a decent range of topics and opinions. (Although, of course, pretty much all of the pro-lifers were men and the pro-choicers women. Go figure.) Some arguments I found to be poorly made. Although I can't exactly blame the editors for the content per se, I can still blame them for allowing such arguments into the book in the first place.
