A feel good tale of military romance, btw should've been Marines, with just the required amount of angst and miscommunication. Can't have any drama without adding those two issues to the mix. The female character was somewhat infuriating, but that is to be expected in this genre of book. Either the man, or the woman, will do something stupid and then the real drama begins!!😂😂😂
Altogether a good story with extremely likable characters, and an extremely powerful and pleasant focus on our men and women in uniform from an AA perspective. That's not something you come across often so kudos to Angie Daniels.
I enjoyed this book , both Howard and Meeks were individuals that I felt you could relate too. Meeks let her insecurities and trust issue almost cost her so much not just her relationship with Howard, but how she let it affect her job. I enjoyed the part when she finally talk to her dad ,and she didn't fall for Dames bs again. Howard was the kind of man who was honest in his approach to being in a relationship with Meeks I can't wait for the next installment in this series
I went through a couple of different emotions reading this book but came out of it satisfied. Strong male character I found myself actually on the side of the guy in this one the female lead had issues with trust that almost cost her a good man it just goes to show that we are indeed shaped by behavior of our parents the trick is learning to recognize that and over coming that
I was so proud of Dayana getting to the root of her insecurities by hearing her father side of the story concerning the demise of their relationship. But her mom was driving me up the wall with her name calling. Name calling is so childish to me. You should never call your child names. It doesn't make your situation better not does it shine a better light on the parent. Good job Ms. Daniels!
Excellent read, I loved the storyline and characters. Dayana had a lot of baggage. She carried abandonment and trust issue from childhood through her adult life. Keim was ready for his forever love and he found her in Dayana. Their romance wasn’t without troubles due to Dayana’s past and her insecurities. Thank goodness Dayana recognized she had to work on herself to accept true love. I recommend this book.
Dayana Meeks and Keim Howard are military. Dayana has trust issues and Keim is just the man who can help her learn to trust again. His determination to win her mind body and soul leaves Dayana breathless and sexually satisfied. Aside from the negative comments about Kansas City this is a great read and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book.
As expected, Daniels delivers another sizzling hot romance between two believable characters. The plot is engaging and well crafted "Daniels-style". Howard (Keim) and Meeks (Dayana) are both career military professionals who try to carve out a romance within the parameters of their jobs. I enjoyed the story although at times I felt it was a little too heavy on military jargon.
Without trust a relationship can go no where. Meeks carried her relationship baggage into her relationship with Howard. This was a great read. I couldn't put it down. The author, Angie Daniels, takes you on a journey we all can relate to.
While the story line was interesting, the main female character had too many unnecessary trust issues. Also book was too long. The ending was abrupt and the reader is left without a closing. It was dry.
A good book...frustrating because in my opinion the heroine was dumb, lacked true self esteem..with a bitter parent she had little choice...i get it it...and after true consideration enjoyed the book....
Awesome story of a couple coming together! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves military romance. Or even if they don't, they are sure to find a character that they are drawn to in the story line.
I would like to know if your writing a sequel to Keim, Dayana? Trust is an easy word, but hard to believe and receive. Thank you Angie Daniels always love your books. Keeps me sane.
Self reflection, vulnerability, forging a new path, insecurities, drama, self-doubt, facing problems head on, learning truth for self and learning to let go and love the one your heart beats for (priceless)
Both are in the military and trying to navigate that life and a relationship! Trust issues can keep you from moving forward. What are you going to do about it?
