Brady F**king Witter

Rate this book
Brady F**king Witter is a sweet and steamy standalone novel from the author of the TALIA SHAW series.

Haven is a charming 22-year-old plus size model. Brady is a seriously hot 45-year-old recently separated movie star. How could it possibly go wrong?

After being brutally dumped by one movie star, plus size model Haven Roser meets another. At 45, Brady Witter is over double her age, but their connection is instant, the chemistry is overwhelming, and all too quickly they are all over each other. With prying eyes everywhere, especially since his recent separation from his wife and the mother of his children, Catalina, Brady needs to keep a low profile. Not to mention that he's never wanted to be one of those Hollywood clichéd actors, dating someone who could be their daughter. Still, neither of them can stay away. At first it is all physical, but she's more than her looks, and no one has ever treated her the way he does. It could be the best thing either of them has ever had. But age isn't just a number and everything is more complicated than it seems... are they heading for heartbreak or a happy ever after?

"He gave me fair warning and I chose not to heed it. I could only blame myself. And, that made it so much worse."

The sense of foreboding was present from the very first page. Because there is truth when they say that love isn't always enough. Even though the attraction was instant, the obstacles seemed insurmountable.

Hollywood movie star Brady Witter is just coming to terms with his failed marriage. Although looking to scratch an itch, he knows just from one meeting that Haven is too good for him, too beautiful, too sweet, too young.

"She was the most perfect thing I'd ever seen or fucked.

Fuck my life, right?"

Haven Roser is a plus size model who is successful in her own right. Meeting Brady on a night out eventually leads to a mutual fling she pushes for. Aware of Brady's reservations regarding their age differences, he's still too irresistible to pass up. Their secrecy is almost worth it, with their chemistry being off the charts.

“I’m not ashamed. I like what I like. And, I love it with you."

Although both happy, the cracks in their relationship are becoming difficult to ignore. And Brady is headstrong in his resolve. Them being together has an expiration date.

"For me, he was everything. I had started to feel like nothing to him. I started to feel like nothing at all. It wasn’t okay. I deserved better."

Brady F**king Witter was an addictive little read, even though I felt like I was on a collision course. I loved both Brady and Haven together, but I really enjoyed how the author kept the story realistic. Because to be fair, with all the baggage that Brady shouldered, there was a lot at stake apart from just his reputation. And big fuck ups, deserve much grovelling....
A big thank you to Melanie.A for finding me this gem!

"I can keep a secret."
GAH! I have a serious weakness for books about filmstars . . . and then add an age-gap to the equation and I'm done for.

Best of all? Brady Fucking Witter, indeed. YUM!

The author came through for me. She served up a great 'fantasy' read about an up-and-coming girl going after the man of her dreams.

Of course, the road to true love is never a smooth one.
He gave me fair warning and I chose not to heed it.
I loved that I could feel the relationship between Haven and Brady. It starts with attraction of course . . .
I had never been so hungry for anyone before.
. . . and very naturally transitioned into more.
Every time I opened up to her, I felt lighter.
Then, sprinkle in a little pinch of kink and I was a very happy camper.
The sweet girl was dirty as hell.
And as hot as Brady was, I think I liked Haven more. I LOVED her confidence and her bravery. That she pursued him in the beginning really hooked me into the story.
"I'm not ashamed. I like what I like. And, I love it with you."
Gotta love a strong heroine. I'll definitely be reading more by this author in the future!

4.25 Stars!!!

I love the older man/younger woman trope. This is about a very famous actor who is recently divorcing and didn’t seem to be ready for it at all. He was asked to leave his home where his wife & three children were living and he is struggling with his new life and the absence of seeing his children daily.

This seems VERY loosely based off of another famous couple split that happened a few years ago although that couple had more children but there are similarities in names and circumstances but yet different also.

Haven is such a great character. She seems so mature for her age and I love her confidence even after the ex-boyfriend was a complete douche. She recently transitioned into a plus size model and she sounds stunning.

Even though these two had amazing chemistry Brady just cannot seem to get past the fact that he is twice her age.

This story has many layers to it. And although there is a LOT of sexy times in it (which I personally like) it also has a lot of just plain old life in it. A bunch of navigating new things in your life or major changes.

This is my first book by this author but I am starting her TALIA SHAW series now, since I really enjoyed this book.

*** on a side note: There is great music referenced in this book!!! ***

I had the pleasure once again to review a book by this amazing author. My honest review is .. I loved it. It was unbelievably sexy. Steamy and the way Christine introduced Brady I was getting very hot. If you know what I mean. The instant connection between these two was crazy. I loved Haven.. Her room mate was cool as well. Havens energy and the way she feel for Brady was great. The cover model is hot. Great choice Christine... If you like steamy sexy Alfa makes and young woman who go for what they want this book is for you.

I loved it!
I loved the characters, the plot, the vibe of the book, the themes it approached.. objectively speaking it wasn’t anything groundbreaking, or extremely memorable but it was a very solid read for it’s kind.

I loved the representation of sex and female sexuality. For once we have these very real, very normal (might I add) reactions to sexual behaviour and desires when it concerns a young woman living in such a vibrant city. I loved how the heroine owned what she liked and wasn’t ashamed to voice her needs. I love how she didn’t act as if in doing so she would be considered slutty or easy, to her it was normal to be open and I loved it. ( I am so tired of books about men who have particular tastes in the bedroom and they introduce the heroine to those kinks and there is a whole thing about her being shy but then turns into such a “dirty girl” lol -their words, not mine- I mean, why is it always the guy, and why do they always act as if it’s something so out of ordinary for the girl to enjoy it or how come those girls just take whatever is dished out at them but then they never have any requests of their own - I mean FFS if he has particular tastes she must have some stuff that she enjoys, and yet, it’s never mentioned, she just goes along and gets into it which as I said is fine, but where is her input? I guess in the orgasms..)

Also, she dated, she tried to get over the H by being with someone else (again completely normal reaction which we don’t get often on NA romance books - we get the revirginized heroines who waits for him for 5 years while he sleeps with anyone that has the right anatomy) I also loved the hero, he was such a great guy, I honestly cannot fault him for anything - he did have a hang up about age which I totally get and it only made him even more appealing to me, and confirmed he wasn’t just infatuated with a younger woman because of the said youth but because of her as a person.

I loved how regardless of the celebrity millionaire status that the male mc had, there is no focus on that but rather on him as a person working and living the life in the public eye.

I love the questions and implications that their age difference brought out. How it would be a challenge and even though saying “f**k it I don’t care what anyone thinks” would be an easy cop out for a writer, the author decided instead to voice the very real concerns that the characters might have. Nobody lives in a vacuum and we care about opinions especially when they are stacked against us (people have ended their lives in the face of public scandals before)

There’s probably more to say but it’s 5 am so yeah, not gonna happen atm.

I’m just gonna reiterate that it was a surprising good read, I picked it out at random when I saw it recommended in my feed and now that I think about it, my opinion is probably coloured by the fact that it kinda broke the mold of tropes and expected plot lines.

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!
I made the mistake of starting to read this book late at night and having to briefly stop to sleep before waking up and finishing it as fast as I could!

Haven is headstrong and confident and her attraction to Brady is absolutely intoxicating to read.
Brady is an Adonis who is charismatic and flawed but desperate for real connection in the sea of fake people in Hollywood.
I loved how the chapters were split to show both Brady and Haven's point of view - I got to find out a lot more about what they were each thinking and their naughty thoughts about each other!

The detailed sex scenes pull you in and don't let go - but trust me you won't mind.

The book kept me guessing about their relationship until the very end - will they, won't they?
Loved it! Fun, fresh, flirty and funny, not to mention incredibly hot.

Sometimes you just need to devour a short and sweet little book that doesn’t require much thinking and can still make you smile. That is totally this book!!! I absolutely loved how quick and easy it was to read, but still kept my attention the whole time.

Was it a little cheesy and a little over the top? Yes, but that didn’t stop me from seriously enjoying this one!! Speaking of enjoyable, there are some great sex scenes in this book. A lot of authors tend to get repetitive when it comes to the having more than a few sex scenes in one novel. That makes for a boring book, but this isn’t like that at all. Each scene was unique and fun to read.

The characters are sweet and uncomplicated, which makes the read fast and easy. I’d say if you need a quick little romantic pick me up, this is a good little read!!

I was lucky to be given an advanced reading copy of this book, and I can honestly say I was totally and utterly suckered in by it! It had everything any romance lover could want; passion, possessiveness and above anything drama!

The book is about Brady Ritter, a world famous actor who has reached a turning point in his life. He has just completed his divorce, and is battling not only life as a singleton, but also empty next syndrome as he shares custody of his children with his spiteful ex-wife!

He meets Haven, a beautiful gorgeous model who is attempting to make it in the cruel world of fame and fortune, and he is unable to deny how she affects him. The issue? She’s half his age.

Brady knows he should stay away, he knows it could be damning for his career, but there’s something about Haven that he can’t resist!

Haven is a really likeable character, she hides behind a facade of beauty and confidence, when underneath she is naive and perhaps in denial over consequences. She can’t help but be star struck by Brady, and enjoys how she can get under his skin. But with the harshness of judgement and the reality of real life, will it all end in tears? Or will they get their very own Happily Ever After?

I absolutely love Christine Darcy’s writing style, her stories are thorough, action-packed, and I never quite know where they are going to take me. Like Darcy’s previous books, you get a good idea as a reader which real-life celebrity this book could be based on, and it adds to all of the fun!

Books set in the celebrity world are my absolute fave, as let’s face it, they can get up to absolutely anything and everything! And believe me in this book they do! They have no boundaries, and It only adds to the intensity of these characters.

An amazing story with two very loveable characters, and I could not put it down! If you are a fan of romance and celebrity theme romances on the hotter scale, this is definitely one for you!

A plus-sized model + an older man....has this ever been done before? Scandalous and a bit raunchy, this is a refreshingly new romance novel you shouldn’t miss. If you’re a fan of the genre, but getting a little tired of the old tropes, give this one a try.

The title alone intrigued me enough that I decided I just needed to read it. “Brady F**king Witter” by Christine J. Darcy is an OM/YW romance - a trope I love, set in Hollywood. Brady is a movie star of epic proportions. He’s 55, sexy, gorgeous and beautifully damaged. His wife kicks him out and takes his kids away. Separated and alone he’s lost.
Haven is 22 and beautiful, she’s made a name for herself as a plus size model. Although young, she has an old soul, a soul that is incredibly attracted to older men, not boys her own age.
To say that Brady and Haven are attracted to one another is to say that peanut butter and jam are an ok combination. The chemistry and heat between these two is off the charts hot. Whereas she’s prepared to give their budding relationship a chance, he’s determined to keep her at a safe distance. Suffice it it to say that doesn’t happen. A mutual agreement to be just friends with benefits, is how they’re relationship starts. Obviously a recipe for disaster. Eventually they get their heads out of their a**es and work their way towards a happily ever after. An enjoyable read. (I read an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review.)

Loved Brady and loved Haven. Haven was transitioning in to plus size modelling and her ex was a complete and utter ******* and had dumped her not so nicely. Along came Brady - he had his own issues. Together these two had chemistry but it was not plain sailing. Eventually these two got their act together, with a few hiccups along the way.

Thank you to the author for the Arc.

This was drama filled and a quick read. Haven is a cute girl, she's confident in her body and knows what she wants. Her attraction to Brady was interesting, I liked that she didn't care that he was older or had kids. She put herself out there and was honest with him. He was understandably hesitant because of his high profile and the complications it could cause with his divorce and kids, but I'm glad he gave Haven a chance.
The point of views switched a lot, multiple times a chapter and sometimes right in the middle on conversations. I could have done with a bit less of that, it was jarring sometimes. The epilogue felt rushed and crammed a lot of important information in and I would have liked the story to just be longer so we could get the information at a natural pace.
The story was cute and had a lot going on. I enjoyed Haven and would love to see more females like her in books.

Dawn First book I have read by this author. And I am so glad that I found this within my goodreads friends suggestions. It was so good I did not want it to end. Older man and younger woman. He questions himself about the age difference and the consequences that comes along with it. And she just really wants him in every way. I would of gave this more than 5 stars.

At the end of the blurb, there is a question about where they are heading. Let me tell you. With that age gap, they are heading towards a viagra-filled future due to his erectile dysfunction of old age while she is at the peak of her sexual life.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and funny and sweet and sad all at the same time. It was well written and edited well, which was nice. The main characters are thoroughly developed and you get to understand their points of view. For example, I fall in Haven's perspective when it comes to the conflict, but the author detailed Brady's issues so well that I was able to see where he was coming from. The only minor issue I had was that the time frame seemed a bit ambiguous towards the end between the details of Odessa's rise to fame and the amount of time they were apart. It confused me a bit, but it's a very minor thing and relatively easy to look past.

For those who have issues with it, yes the book has plenty of hot and heavy scenes that are detailed. Also, if the title doesn't give it away already, there's plenty of swearing. Neither of those things make a blip for me, but I get so tired of seeing negative reviews because of those things. So basically, if you don't like those aspects this is not the book for you. Everyone else, enjoy it!

Enthralling

This book wasn’t what I expected at all, and I loved it. I loved Haven and how she had what was clearly a great career, yet she was so down to earth and real. Brady made the story seem so real with all the conflicts that tugged at him and how he was consumed with thinking about them.

It really tugged at my heartstrings, too. Not many books have the power to make me feel what the characters are feeling. I’m so glad I read this.

I was kindly offered a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, so here it goes:

This book is pretty great! It's fun, fast-moving, and the chemistry between the two characters comes across as genuine.

Brady is getting divorced from Catalina, both of them are some of the biggest movie stars in the world and are dealing with the aftermath of their marriage falling apart.

On his own, Brady regrets not seeing his kids as much as he'd like. And as he's feeling one of the lowest points of his life, one night, he decides to go out.

And everything changes for him.

From afar, he sees Haven. A vibrant, sexy, model (plus-size) who catches the eye of everyone who crosses her path.

She's beautiful in every regard, but there are still a few people who judge her for being on the plus-size end of the model spectrum. Nonetheless, she carries herself with confidence and knows how attractive she is.

She spots Brady and is immediately amazed at how good looking he is. A long-time fan of his, she immediately feels drawn to him.

But he's the one that makes the first move. Yet, she's the one that becomes obsessed with seeing him again.

After a night of dancing, drinks, and fun, she decides to arrive at his home in a trenchcoat, and nothing else.

And it all begins there. But like everything worth having, there are major obstacles along the way.

She's 23 years younger than Brady, which is a big no-no for him, especially amidst a highly-publicized divorce.

As a reader, you rip through the pages with ease, as the story moves quickly and there is little dialogue.

The only thing that put me off was the number of typos, errors, inconsistencies, and grammar. While it was a fun read, it was kind of distracting to spot an error. So my suggestion to the writer is to have the book go through another round of editing to make it as smooth as possible :)

Overall, her talent shines through and I'm excited to read more from her.

Happy reading and stay safe everyone!

I really liked this book. I had never even heard of this author before stumbling across this book and becoming enticed by the blurb. I admit to being a true forbidden romance junkie and the age gap trope is a personal favorite, so I was pretty much intrigued from the word "Go" and I am so happy I chose to give this book a read because it was just so good. I found it very easy to get pulled into Haven and Brady's romance. These two definitely provide the reader with a major case of "The Feels" as their complicated and deeply emotional story unfolds. Both characters were incredibly likable and despite being a model and a movie star I felt they were relatable and seemed quite genuine. Haven was such a wonderful female lead. Mature for her age and completely comfortable in her own skin, I loved her attitude and her heart. Brady was of course hot but I was deeply drawn to his vulnerable side. His anxieties, self-doubts and that cut adrift and a little bit lost air that he wore like a cloak all helped to humanize him and showcase the man himself and not the cinema god that the world knew. Intense emotion is in my opinion, the driving force in this book. From the first spark of attraction, to the explosion of passion that even a downpour couldn't extinguish, to that burning ember of longing and connection that is embedded soul deep and is so powerful it can't be ignored or denied even when wisdom and the risk of a broken heart begs you to do just that, you know you are in for a head spinning, heart melting and epically swoon worthy ride. Expect drama, heartache, angst, sweetness, humor, steadily increasing tension and sizzling steam as you read this incredibly enjoyable read. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.

I was delighted as completely devoured her first 3 books which was a Trilogy (The Talia Shaw Series-READ IT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY)!!!!
Anyway this book-again has me sucked in from the get go, it’s jam packed hotness with a capital H!
I loved both the main characters Haven & Brady and enjoyed their journey to their HEA!
The characters were grounded, relatable and the author gave you just the right amount of details of their lives without it being unrealistic.
Another one in the bag for CD, I can’t wait to see where she goes next! X

I loved the story! It is truly a book that you really wish didn't end. Haven and Brady had perfect chemistry and came into each other's lives when they needed it the most. There is something special about having that type of bond. Two people who were at their lowest point in their lives and they come together making each other feel better. Their unity was a long bumpy road but it got more and more beautiful. The story was very well written by the author!

This book goes to show you that age isn't a factor when it comes to love... Although I wanted to shout at Brady more than once lol... I love Haven's outlook on life she didn't care when she had to do to make it Ada plus sized model I love that she is a strong woman and knows what she wants and goes for it!

Brady and Havens story was a good young woman/older man romance. Brady is going through life dealing with his new normal and missing his kids who he shares with his ex when he meets Haven who throws him for a loop. He’s undeniably attracted to her but is so put off by her age and the potential damage any fallout from them will cause that he’s in a perfect catch 22. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’ll definitely read more by her.

Possible spoilers!

I like age gap novels, so when I received ARC, thanks to kindness of our writer, I jumped in it!

It is story about Brady, movie star, recently divorced father of three, and Haven, plus size model, nice girl with soft spot for older, handsome guys:)
I liked plot, but had a little bit problem with Brady, his decissions from time to time was really bad. And their connection was not strong enough for me.
So expect hot smexy times, a lot of angs, older guy and his younger girl.
Enjoy!

Based on the Hollywood setting, I was excited to read "Brady F**king Witter" by Christine J. Darcy. Unfortunately, I ended up being rather disappointed with it. My biggest problem was that I did not particularly care for either of the main characters, Haven and Brady. They weren't very well developed and I didn't feel like I got to know them much beyond the surface. The few things I did know, I didn't particularly like. Haven was alternately really aggressive and kind of pathetic in the way she constantly threw herself at Brady, and Brady was kind of a jerk a lot of the time, especially when he drank.

My other big problem with the book was that I didn't see much, if any, true emotional connection between Haven and Brady. All they ever seemed to do is have sex, which got boring by the time I was a third of the way through the story. The author tells us that they talk and laugh together, but it's never made clear what their conversations are about. Do they have common interests besides sex and, apparently, watching Netflix? Their conversations all happened off the page and the sex was the only thing described in any detail. Even at the end of the book, I honestly had no idea exactly what Haven and Brady loved about each other.

Aside from my issues with the story itself, I was somewhat bothered by the writing in this book, which pulled me out of the story quite often. It is very obvious that the author is not American because of the differences in language used. For example, there were many references to "lounges" (I think meaning a "couch" or "sofa"), Haven refers to her "mum" (she's from Alaska and much more likely to say "mom"), and there were a lot of non-American spellings used ("favourite," "licence," "tonnes," "pyjamas," etc.). Since both of the main characters were supposed to be American, it would have been a good idea to have an American editor go over the manuscript and check for these things prior to publication. In addition, the verb "to plead" was repeatedly misused throughout the book. The correct past tense conjugation is "pleaded" (or "pled," though that is more colloquial and old-fashioned); "plead" is the present tense form.

This book may appeal to readers who are looking for a quick and very steamy story, but unfortunately, I personally didn't enjoy it, and can't recommend it.

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review.**

Pretty f**king good!! First of all, I'm a sucker for celebrity romance stories. Especially between the super famous and the not-so-famous. Haven is a little famous in her own right, but she's nowhere near Brady's level. I'm not usually a fan of the age-gap trope, but the concerns are legit and the drama it creates is believable. The characters are well-developed and regardless of being a bit larger than life (even as a plus-size model, this girl is clearly other-worldly gorgeous), you can still find ways to relate to both of them.

Christine's writing is casual and flows smoothly. It makes this an easy and quick read, which is one of my favorite kinds. The story moves fast, so much so that at times I wanted it to slow down so I could stay on the journey longer with these two. It moves especially fast towards the end, but that's when I appreciate a quick pace, so the drama doesn't drag out for too long.

The epilogue was a lot of info crammed into a short chapter. I wouldn't have minded a follow-up book or novella that dug a little deeper into their life together, and her connecting with the children and dealing with the ex.

Overall, I truly enjoyed it and will be checking out Christine's other books in the future.
