Tryst With Reality: A destined journey towards self-realization

Rate this book

ABOUT THE BOOK

The book is a memoir of an unplanned back-packing trip to the Himalayas by the author Vishal and his college friend Sumant. In the summer of 2017, when Sumant casually proposed to go to the Himalayas, Vishal spontaneously accepted his proposal. In a matter of 5 days, they were off on their journey, not knowing where they will go and when they will return. Vishal had no idea that a normal trip would become ‘Tryst with Reality’ and that his life would change forever by the end of the trip.

The book takes its readers through the holy cities of Haridwar & Rishikesh, the godly confluence of rivers Bhagirathi & Alaknanda at Devprayag, the Gangotri temple opening, the snow-clad mountains and stark white valley of Bhojbasa near Gaumukh. It gives a comprehensive and candid account of Vishal and Sumant’s experiences of meeting the sages, mystics and strangers during the 15-day journey.

Destiny would have them start their journey with a night stay at Neem Karoli Baba’s (Maharajji) ashram at Kainchi Dham, which eventually helps Vishal appreciate the divine interventions of the Universe/Guru in his life. While the book takes the readers through Vishal’s inner journey, it might compel the reader to start his/her own inner journey by the time he/she finishes the book.

“Tryst with Reality” is a travel memoir of the author’s unplanned backpacking trip to the Himalayas that he undertook with his college friend Sumant Kachru during the summer of 2017. The book is an engaging narration of What was a totally unplanned trip which turned out of to be an experience of a lifetime.

The book starts with author and his friend agreeing to a Himalayas without any hesitation. The trip was planned without any detailed plan or purpose or expectations. But as the author reminds us that ‘Sometimes not having a plan is the best plan’. In the 15-day trip, the author travels to some spiritually revered places like Rishikesh, Haridwar, Devprayag, Gangotri Temple, Gaumukh. The book narrates several amazing and fascinating experiences throughout the trip and also author’s experience of being transformed by the journey. Towards the end, the author narrates how the journey changed him for the better and how by connecting the events in the past he could see how everything magically lead him to the journey.

The book is full of fascinating experiences that will make you smile; make you think or simply amaze you. Be the experience of Gaumukh trek or the divine experience in the Arundhati cave or the thrilling experience of snowfall at Bhojbasa or the getting stranded midtrip at night. You feel like you are a fellow passenger on this journey, taking a dip in the holy river or meditating in the cave or meeting some unique people. The author shares his spiritual experiences, beautifully described in words, some of which you can relate too, making you experience the higher power as you read along. The most unique part of this book is the way the author goes back in time ‘to join the dots’ and how even the seemingly unrelated events connect to the future. In a way, this book is an experience, a journey that the readers undertake as they read the book.

The writing is excellent and the narrative keeps a fine balance between the places and the experiences. The author delved into his most precious memories to give the readers a glimpse of they couldn’t have experienced with just the description of the sights and sounds. The book also includes some stunning pictures of each location, that will make you want to go on your own spiritual journey soon.

Overall, 'Tryst with Reality' is a unique reading experience which will take you a journey full of spirituality, friendship and adventure. As a reader, this book is both enlightening and entertaining. A great read for everyone.

Tryst with Reality by Vishal Bhavsar is a memoir of the author's trip to the mighty Himalayas with his friend Sumant. The author has done a wonderful job in writing a beautiful memoir about his experiences during the journey.

Himalayas is one of my all time favourite destinations and therefore I totally enjoyed each and everything about this book. Through this book, I got a chance to know about so many amazing and mesmerizing places in Himalayas and also on the way to the Himalayas. A perfect description of a place and a perfect picture of the same is all a reader need to realize the beauty of Himalayas and the author has succeeded in providing these in this book. All the pictures in this book were totally amazing.

I am really happy to know about "Swayambhu Shivaling" in the Kashi Vishwanath temple from this book and also about various caves like Vashishtha gufa, Arundhati cave, Pandav gufa and it's significane. Another interesting fact is about "Surya Kund" and it's a pool where the first rays of sun fall on earth according to Hindu mythology.

Towards the end of this book, the author has mentioned about the significance of this journey in his life and how this journey transformed his life. He also admits that the journey to the Himalayas changed his perspective about his life and also changed his ideologies.

So I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves Himalayas and this book would be a perfect guide for that.

A trip to the Himalayas and their nearby places is one of my dreams since the time I was a kid (Although I forgot about it until I read this book). Hence, this was one of the main reasons, I picked this book up.
Tryst With Reality is a memoir of an unplanned trip to the Himalayas by the author along with his friend, Sumant. The book is about how they begin their journey without much planning and why it turned out to be one of the wonderful trips of their life.
The author and his friend visit many wonderful places like Rishikesh, Haridwar, Devprayag, Gangotri Temple, Gaumukh, etc and each of the visits becomes unique in its own way.
The pictures were also included from the trip which made the book interesting and engaging.
This memoir was a short read but it covered every detail about the journey. Other than that, the author included other intangible aspects of the trip too such as bonding, struggle, hardship, positivity.
Although the writing style was beautiful and refreshing I felt it could be rephrased and edited a bit more.
I would recommend this to everyone; readers and non-readers.

Tryst with Reality is a travel log in which Vishal takes us on a journey from western plains of India to Himalayan ranges in north of India. The book takes us on a person’s metaphorical journey from understanding one’s self to knowing one’s self. Vishal, with his lucid writing, weaves his life changing experiences into this book with the help of series of interesting coincidences which are at times hilarious but deep and thought provoking. His narration of places and incidents are immersive to the extent that the reader gets an impression of reading his/her first hand account. The flow of writing, structuring of book in chapters, journey through accompanying pictures and content are so engrossing that I couldn’t stop reading it and felt compelled to finish reading in one sitting.

The simple and lucid style of writing easily takes the reader on the journey vicariously. With the book in the hand, I lived the journey to the Himalayas. Right from the Neem Karoli baba's Ashram to Bhojbasa via Haridwar and Rishikesh. This is not just a normal travelogue. It has more elements than a normal travelogue. The first element is the unpredictability of the journey ahead and the second is the inseparable connection between two friends. With the end of every chapter, the unexpectedness tempts us to read the chapter at that moment only. Once I started, I left the book when I completed the journey to Himalaya with Vishal Bhavsar's unique travelogue.

So, I read this book when I was in a reading slump and I am so happy I made that decision. It is
such a different and refreshing read. It is only 114 pages and has pictures in it! How cool is that! 😍

It is my reading goal to read one non-fiction every 2 months and I am so happy that I chose this
one as my first non-fiction of 2021. ✨

It is a memoir of an unplanned backpacking trip to the Himalayas, undertaken by the author,
Vishal Bhavsar with his college friend. In only 15 days, this unplanned trip became a journey of
lifetime for the both of them. As people say, unplanned trips are the best, this trip turned out to
be one of the most beautiful experiences for them. It was such a good experience to read this
book in cozy blanket, with a lit candle and a hot cup of tea. It was so beautiful to experience
their journey, their happiness, tears, learnings and everything. 🥰😍

According to the author, the most important thing that they did was that - they allowed. They
allowed things to just happen and they just went with it with an open heart and mind. To be
honest, this book made me wanna just pack up my bags and go to such an unplanned trip! It
was such a great book, packed with friendship, spirituality, adventure, travel and what not!
It was so interesting to know about the things and places that I had no idea about. For example,
"Swayambhu Shivaling" in the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Others included caves like
Vashishtha gufa, Pandav gufa and Arundhati cave. 🤗

Coming to the writing style. I found it to be so simple, yet refreshing. It was so breezy and fun to
read. I read this one in one sitting! Yes, that was a first for me.

In conclusion, it would be really clear to you, that I highly recommend this one if you are looking
for a short and easy read, which is full of life and adventure.

I've read travelogues since childhood. I love to travel and I knew from the beginning that I won't be staying at my home for long after I turn 18. It has been 3 years and I have travelled to about 7 countries.

In my whole reading experience I have never read a book that was so inspiring and at the same time so so simple. Reading this book felt like a breath of fresh air in my chaotic life. I meet new people all the time and try to connect with them, try to find what keeps them going and what keeps me going. This book helped me understand the real meaning of "keeping and open mindset." I loved the concept of a beautiful mindset changes the horizons of perspective.

Vishal Bhavsar felt like an older brother guiding a little one for life while using his experiences as examples but at the same time letting me experience my own battles and adventures. If you are someone who's looking for a book to read, this is perfect.
It fits the requirements of EVERY reader- be it a newbie, a well read person or whatever. It has something for everyone. So don't wait anymore!

I have never read a travelogue before this and it made me fall in love with travelogues!
I especially liked the writing style, every important point was highlighted. The pictures were beautiful which made the text more lively. We could actually imagine the beautiful and mesmerising himalayas and all the adventures with the pictures.
The spiritual perspective was unique and it depends on a personal level how and what everyone experiences while travelling. Some find thrill, a sense of accomplishment, some spirituality while some seek  solace.
Overall, a really good read. I would recommend you to try it once.

I think everyone should read travelogues. I was not a fan till I also read this one. It helps you travel places you have never been and makes you excited to travel more and explore the beautiful places we have around us.

✨ Friendship, adventure, spirituality, travel, self realization. ✨

"Tryst with Reality" is a memoir of an unplanned trip to Himalaya of two college friend - The author himself and his friend Sumanta Kachru. But when they set off for Himalayas, little did they know how this trip would end up in great self realization for both of them.

This book may also fall in the genre Travelogue because it contains maps, dates, venues, routes, pictures, facts, information and what not. The emotional roller coaster journey that taught them zillion lessons would also compel you to come out of illusion of life and have a trip to a far away place. As you turn the pages, you are forced to introspect your spiritual being and your existence.

I appreciate the author for his writing style which kept me hooked to the book. The honest description of all the incidences are worth admiring. The narration is entertaining as well as informative. Overall the book was enlightening for me. I am glad that I bought the hardcopy of this instead of having an e copy.

Tryst with Reality by Vishal Bhavsar is a book that will take you to the picturesque and breathtaking path of traveling to the Himalayas from Haridwar to Gangotri. This is a travelogue that will give you a detailed description of the travel route of Gangotri to Haridwar which is a part of Char Dham Yatra as well. It will make you feel as if you are traveling along with Vishal and his friend Sumant as that is the way the entire 15 days journey has been written down for you. This book can very easily be used as a guide if you are planning to embark on this journey yourself.
Now coming to the part on how this book connected with me. I am an out and out mountain person. If you ever ask me to plan a vacation, you can rest assured that I will plan some hill station. " Mountain's Calling" is a term that I heartily believe in. I find myself to be in my best place when I am in the midst of hills. It is like my soul has been captured by the serenity that the hills provide. It is among mountains that I feel how small we human beings are in front of nature. The formidable way in which mountains stand tall surrounded by greenery and reaching into the clouds is a view that always provides me utmost peace. Traveling to hills is always a soul-stirring and soul-searching journey for me.
The emotions and the feelings that Vishal has penned down in the book is something that every mountain lover can very easily relate to. The awakening that the author has during the difficult yet beautiful journey is something that not everybody has and therefore might seem a bit unreal. However, Vishal himself is trying to find meaning to this so I think that is something that he needs to ponder on a much more personal level.
The beautiful pictures in the book made it all the more interesting and realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed going through all the pictures of the places that he visited and also of all the stunts that he and his friend Sumant performed. I wanted more such pictures. The description of Sumant makes him an ideal travel partner.
So, read this book if you want to know of the first-hand experience of the traveling route to Gangotri from Haridwar and if you are a person who loves to travel to mountains. If you don't love mountains then also read this book as it might convince you to take a trip to a hill station. Also, after reading this book I want to visit Gangotri.

Sometimes few trips have a life changing impact on us. ⁣Tryst With Reality by Mr.Vishal Bhavsar is a travelogue that actually presents to us more aspects of one's life beyond the adventure present in travelling.⁣

It is an account of his sudden unplanned trip with his college friend Sumant in April, 2017 from Ahmedabad to Himalayas in Uttarkashi and related places that brought to him more clarity in life through self introspection. ⁣

In this phase of life where we all are more bound to a stagnant life for the pandemic, this book will not only prove to be a fresh breath of air taking us to the heavenly hills of Himalaya but also will let us explore life spiritually through author's tryst with some spiritual heads of few ashrams in the way, feel the different human connection , a blooming bond of trust between friends , introspection, gaining experience by meeting more people from all walks of life and even other lands across the sea. ⁣

I liked checking the pictures of different places across Gaumukh, Tapovan, Vishishta Gufa, Rishikesh, etc. The colourful prints are excellent quality. I liked reading the philosophical sermons and conversation. ⁣

They let us introspect and see the world through another perspective.I also liked the minimalistic yet classy aesthetic presentation of the book inside out. ⁣

I am born and brought up in Rishikesh and due to some unforeseen circumstances, has had to leave the city recently. Was missing the place eagerly when I came across this book and after reading the blurb, I was convinced that it can quench my thirst to revisit the memory lanes.

So it's a travel monologue to the most aesthetic places in our country, majorly Himalayas. Author has described his experiences beautifully. The pictures really complemented the memoir. The cover page is one of the best I have seen this year. It truly proves the notion right that "A Picture Is Worth Thousand Words."

Along with the author from his pedantic lenses, it was such an enchanting feeling to explore so many places and seeing the things from his perspective makes it a breezy read. The book is not just a guide to variety of locations but also author has done a commendable job in encapsulating his learnings out of it. It exhumed optimism and I can't actually wait to do some soul searching myself by going on a solo trip to such exotic places.

"𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣."

The book is a memoir of an unplanned 15 day back-packing trip to the Himalayas by the author Vishal and his college friend Sumant. In the summer of 2017, when Sumant casually proposed to go to the Himalayas, Vishal spontaneously accepted his proposal. Through breathtaking landscapes, unexpected encounters, and moments of deep introspection, Vishal Bhaskar shares his transformative journey filled with adventure, spirituality, and self-discovery., they were off on their journey, not knowing where they will go and when they will return. Vishal had no idea that a normal trip would become ‘Tryst with Reality’ and that his life would change forever by the end of the trip.

Their travels take them through places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Devprayag, Gangotri, and Bhojbasa, where they encounter sages, stay in ashrams, and reflect on life’s deeper meanings. What begins as a simple trip soon turns into a spiritual awakening, forcing them to question their beliefs and understand their purpose. Along the way, they experience divine interventions, challenging situations, and the raw beauty of the Himalayas. The journey not only changes their perspective on life but also strengthens their friendship.

•What I liked the most was how the book/journey started as simple read and felt so real while imagining the places, the way author described the beauty of the Himalayas makes you feel like you’re right there, experiencing like taking dip in cold waters, stays in ashrams, breathing the mountain air, the freezing temperature and experiencing the serenity of the energetic temples and rivers, the peacefulness of the mountains, it turns out how an unplanned trip turned into something so meaningful which was something much deeper. The author shares his experiences in a very simple and honest way, which makes the book easy to connect with. I never imagined that a travel can lead to you transformation as this is the main motive and inspirational thing of the book.

•It made me think about how sometimes, the best moments in life come from the unexpected. The best thing that the author didn't try to exaggerate the things about his throughout journey just felt real and heartfelt, an inspiring, peaceful and interesting read, simple yet thought provoking.

•If you love travel memoirs that offer both adventure and full of spirituality, this book is worth reading. It reminds us that sometimes the most unexpected journeys lead to the most profound realizations.

"Tryst with Reality" by Vishal Bhavsar

"Tryst with Reality" by Vishal Bhavsar is a captivating and soul-stirring journey that transcends the boundaries of mere travel and dives deep into the realms of spirituality and self-discovery. The book chronicles an unplanned expedition to the majestic Himalayas, embarked upon by the author and his friend Sumant Kachru, which ultimately evolves into a profound life-altering experience.

What initially appears as a travelogue quickly unveils itself as a profound exploration of the inner self. The author's ability to convey the essence of this transformation is nothing short of remarkable. As readers traverse the pages, they find themselves transported to the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, the divine confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers at Devprayag, and the ethereal landscapes of Gangotri and Bhojbasa near Gaumukh.

One of the book's remarkable features is the inclusion of photographs and maps, which not only serve as visual aids but also enable readers to immerse themselves completely in the journey. These images, coupled with the author's eloquent descriptions, make it easy to envision the serene landscapes and spiritual encounters.

The encounters with sages, saints, and mystics throughout the journey add an extra layer of depth to the narrative. Through these interactions, readers gain profound insights into the author's spiritual awakening and personal growth. The book beautifully conveys the idea that a voyage into the unknown can lead to unexpected transformations, offering a reminder that sometimes, not having a plan is the best plan.

As I turned the pages of "Tryst with Reality," I couldn't help but feel a sense of serenity and a renewed interest in spirituality. The book is a testament to the power of unplanned adventures and the wisdom that can be gained from embracing the unknown. It serves as an inspiration for readers to explore their own inner selves and perhaps embark on their own spiritual journeys.

In conclusion, "Tryst with Reality" is an exceptional book that skillfully blends travel, spirituality, and personal growth into a compelling narrative. It's a must-read for anyone seeking inspiration, inner peace, and a deeper understanding of life's unexpected adventures. I wholeheartedly give this book a well-deserved 4-star rating.

Tryst with reality by Vishal Bhavsar is about his trip to The Himalayas but it's not just about the trip but everything he experienced there.

This book is something different and it awakens something inside you as you read it. Every page, every paragraph will make you feel something, I truly feel that I was on a spiritual journey and I could feel it in my bones.

You will actually see yourself visiting all the places the author has mentioned and you will be stunned how real it feels. This isn't just a reading experience but something much greater than that.

He wrote about his journey to the Himalayas and how sudden the plan was, how he reached there, what they ate throughout the trip, how they managed to sleep in such cold weather and without all the luxuries and how everything was just meant to be.

I was mesmerized by the paragraphs where he mentioned meeting new people, sadhus and others. Even though I've never been to these places, I could see myself standing there, talking to them and it was magical.

I finished this book in one sitting and i felt that i was meant to read this book. This book came to me because it has something special about it. There aren't the perfect words to describe what I felt during the read but this book connects with you on so many levels.

The author also talks about spirituality, about NEEM KAROLI BABA and their ashram, everything that lead him to the Himalayas and it was so peaceful to read.

At first I thought it was a book about travelling but it's much more than that. It's an emotion, a journey to peace and life changing events. I loved this book and how the author has written everything so beautifully, it makes you wonder.

The preface says, that the book is a memoir of an unplanned backpacking trip to the Himalayas that was undertaken by his college friend during the summer of 2017. The author anecdotes the events that happened during the journey. This book imitates a journal of the author. There are a total of six parts in this book. The photographs from the journey allow the readers to get easily connected with the adventures described by the author throughout the travel. I love the genuine and natural way, the story flows. The author didn't add extra glitters to the story. We could get a glimpse of the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh. The rivers and the temples they explored and the aura they received through it, is beautifully portrayed. I love the colorful pictures at the end, they are so refreshing and brings a vibrant mood. I have never visited any places described in the book and it's thrilling to know such spiritual and divine places.

The author chose to narrate the essence of his travel beautifully, what he has seen through his eyes and felt through his heart, the author has taken all efforts to include other elements like the bonding between the friends, the hardships and difficulties they had gone through during the journey, and most remarkably, the spiritual experiences which revamped both of them. The storytelling part is engaging and gripping. The maps, photographs, and descriptions add the cherry to the top. The travelogue is great but the writing needs more refining. The cover is good and the title is well inclined with the book. Last but not least, this story proved unplanned trips are far better than the planned ones. This book gives you a definite impression when you complete it. Recommended to those who like to read books that lighten your mood with a true story.

..I couldn't help, but ask myself, “Am I going back to reality?” or “Am I going back from reality?”
Perhaps the title of the book is dawned at this point of realization of the author.

The book started with Sumant and Vishal embarking on a journey to the Himalayas- a journey that was going to be one marvel of a lifetime, a quest for life, a spiritual crusade.

The book takes us through the trip that starts from Ahmedabad to Delhi Kainchi Dham and Maharajji’s Ashram. The profound gratitude and the intent of seeking knowledge and wisdom are portrayed throughout the book. As it proceeds, they venture towards Haridwar, they take the first holy dip in the Ganga river, they meet yogis and Sadhus through their journey and get to have many fulfilling and great insights. They have various beautiful experiences in Rishikesh and Devprayag as well - from rafting to venturing the caves.

In one of the enlightening experiences in Arundhati Cave, Vishal experiences the stillness of time with just a flame, an inner calling.

After this the journey is much more exciting and adventurous, at times uncertain when they reach Uttarkashi, they visit the Gangotri temple, and they set out the trek to Gaumukh. The experience of the first snowfall is fascinating. The astounding landscapes, the holy dip in the ice-cold river, the meditation that was beyond the fathom of understanding, is truly overwhelming and marvellous. It felt illuminating as if he was in a deep realisation.

With a simple usage of words, nice captures, fluent narration, piqued my interest, it raised many questions about the purpose of life, about connecting the happenings, the divinity and so on. Besides, the beautiful bonding and camaraderie between Vishal and Sumant are commendable. I would recommend it to seekers and readers who like to read travelogues.

When I picked up 'Tryst with Reality' by Vishal Bhavsar, I anticipated a thrilling travel memoir through the majestic Himalayas. Little did I know that this book would take me on a profound inner journey as well.

Vishal and Sumant's impulsive decision to embark on a backpacking trip to the Himalayas without a fixed plan instantly intrigued me. Their journey, which unfolds through the pages of this memoir, is a rollercoaster of experiences, from the bustling holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh to the tranquil confluence of rivers at Devprayag and the pristine Gangotri temple. The vivid descriptions of their travels immersed me in the sights and sounds of the Himalayas.

What sets 'Tryst with Reality' apart is its dual narrative. Alongside the physical journey, Vishal delves deep into his inner thoughts and reflections. The unexpected night at Neem Karoli Baba's ashram at Kainchi Dham becomes a turning point, leading him to explore the concept of divine intervention and destiny.

However, the book's length felt insufficient to fully capture the depth of Vishal's spiritual awakening. I longed for more introspection and a deeper exploration of his evolving perspectives.

In conclusion, 'Tryst with Reality' is a captivating memoir that beautifully combines an adventurous Himalayan expedition with a soul-stirring inner journey. Vishal Bhavsar's storytelling skill and his ability to intertwine the physical and metaphysical make this book a worthwhile read for travel enthusiasts and those seeking spiritual insight.

As an adventure lover, I relished the vicarious trek through the Himalayas, and Vishal's candid writing style made me feel like I was right there with him. This book is a testament to the transformative power of travel and the profound impact it can have on one's life.

"Tryst with Reality" by Vishal Bhavsar chronicles the transformative journey of two friends, Vishal and Sumant, on an unplanned backpacking trip to the Himalayas. It's more than just a travelogue; it's a memoir of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.
The trip begins impulsively, with Vishal accepting Sumant's casual suggestion on a whim. This sets the tone for a journey guided by intuition and serendipity. The book vividly captures the stunning landscapes and harshness of the Himalayas, from the bustling holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh to the snow-clad peaks and serene valleys. Meeting sages, mystics, and fellow travelers opens Vishal's eyes to different spiritual paths and practices. He grapples with questions about life, purpose, and the divine. Book shows Vishal's inner journey as he confronts anxieties, challenges his comfort zone, and experiences moments of clarity and peace. Neem Karoli Baba's ashram at Kainchi Dham was key, leading Vishal to appreciate the guiding hand of the universe and the concept of a guru. Returning from the Himalayas, Vishal is a changed man. He carries newfound understanding, a sense of inner peace, and a deeper connection with himself and the world around him. Readers can relate to Vishal's journey of self-discovery and find inspiration in his transformation. The book brings the Himalayas alive with its evocative descriptions of the scenery, people, and experiences. "Tryst with Reality" touches on universal themes of spirituality, self-awareness, and finding meaning in life. Bhavsar's writing style is clear, engaging, and draws the reader into the story.
In a nutshell "Tryst with Reality" is a heartwarming memoir that transcends the boundaries of a travelogue and offers a glimpse into one man's transformative journey through the Himalayas.

The book is a memoir of the author's intriguing trip to the great Himalayas with his friend Sumant. The book is a collection of memories from this remarkable journey.

The author and his friend visit many beautiful places like Rishikesh, Haridwar, Devprayag, Gangotri Temple, Gaumukh, etc. and each of the visits is unique in its own way as depicted in the book.
The pictures from the trip make the book lively, interesting and engaging.

This memoir was a short read but it covered every detail about the journey. Other than that, the author included other intangible aspects of the trip too such as bonding, struggles, hardships and positivity.

The Himalayas is one of my all-time favourite destinations and therefore I enjoyed each and everything about this book. Through this book, I got a chance to learn about so many amazing and mesmerizing places in the Himalayas and also on the way to the Himalayas. A perfect description of a place and a perfect picture of the same is all a reader needs to realize the beauty of the Himalayas. The author included all the mesmerizing places and details about them in a humorous and heart-touching manner.

The author told about "Swayambhu Shivaling" in the Kashi Vishwanath temple and also about various caves like Vashishtha gufa, Arundhati cave, Pandav gufa and its significance. Another interesting fact about "Surya Kund" is told here. It's a pool where the first rays of the sun fall on earth according to Hindu mythology.

Towards the end of this book, the author mentions about the significance of this journey in his life and how this journey transformed his life. The journey to the Himalayas has changed his thought processes on his life and his ideologies.

So I recommend this book to everyone who loves the Himalayas and this book would be a perfect guide for that.

After complete reading of the book, I can say that this is the book better than many contemporary authors who sell the book-writing cheap stories, which amount to "not good literature" but help to earn money 📈 .

I recommend this book to any reading lover or I say, travelling lover. Go for this! Happy reading. And yes, the book has not only texts but also beautiful images. Enjoy!
However, I would like to comment upon the quality and grade of the paper used in the publishing of this book. The quality of the paper is superb .
