If you need a smile, a giggle, or a pop of joy in your life, and have a cat, this is the book for you. "You Know Your Cat Loves You Because..." is an inspired, highly original, and loving tribute to our irresistible, feline friends. 50 Illustrated panels with captions underneath describe the ways cats noticeably, and sometimes not so noticeably, show love for their owners. You Know Your Cat Loves You Because... The Sweet, Silly, and Scientific Ways Our Cats Show Us How Much They Love Us features the work of Cat Writers’ Association member, Jeff Parks and award winning illustrator, Mark Sean Wilson. It’s a joyful and often funny celebration of the bond between cats and their owners. It's also a one-of-a-kind book every cat lover is going to want to own and share with other cat lovers.
The pictures that went along with the statements were cute. I highlighted the words to some of the ones that I thought were most amusing. KU read that went a lot quicker than I thought it would.
If you are into graphic or comic-style books that present the world of cat to you this is the book for you. Brief, straight-to-the-point and every page illustrated it will bring you into what the world seems like when you are a cat parent.
As for the text it is brief and easy-to-read while only providing about a sentence per page along with the comic illustration. These either give cat-parent given facts such as cats bring you back presents whether dead prey or live fleas to share with you or twirks what seems like a bad kitty habit to give the reader something positive to take from it such as waking you up early in the morning so you know they're okay and you may as well feed them since hey you're already up. Nothing too original, though, from all the other myriad cat facts out there.
It was decent and a quick read while would make for a good book for kitty parents who just need a quick reminder you may have a cat from hell or a cat's cat but is she really as bad as you may think she is?
I enjoyed this book. It’s short but cute and really shows us that cats loves us no matter what we do. From putting Santa hats on them for a Christmas photo giving them a lot of love, it’s all covered here with nice illustrations and brief descriptions. A very fun book.
This book was written for anyone who has ever had a cat. I laughed and winced as I read it. You can tell the writer has had a cat. Much of this book reminded me of my own cats Charlie and George. Great Writing
Truer words were never spoken. This is my cat. It's nice to find others who enjoy their lives being overtaken by their cat. Still don't know why they love boxes so much!
Cute, amusing illustrations, and so many of the descriptions are of my old lady, MamaCat. Thank you! I can think of several friends I’d like to purchase this book for!
