Chances of a guy like him wanting a nerd like me? Zero point zero zero six percent. Approximately.

Charlie:
Computers have always made more sense than people do. But I fall asleep next to my laptop in bed every night, wishing I had someone warm to hold. When I was forced to attend a holiday work party, I was a nervous wreck, but determined to make a good impression.

Then Dean Aldridge showed up just in time to find me breaking the rules, complete with whiskey dripping down my chin. And he was one million times hotter in person than in the magazines. I was an awkward mess. Dean was cocky, flirty, and every bit the playboy I expected. I never thought he’d look twice at a guy like me, but now I know that Dean’s reputation for being hot as fire in bed is true.

When he finds out I’ll be alone for Christmas, he invites me to his family’s cabin. I can’t say no. I don’t have much experience, but I know his body is addictive. I can’t stop, even though I've never done this before. Small problem: I’m falling for him. Hard. And for once, this isn’t something I can hack my way out of.

Dean:
I don’t go for quiet, shy, awkward guys. I’m the life of the party, and I need someone on my level. Someone experienced like me.

So why do I want Charlie so badly?
Two words: Hot. Nerd.

It doesn’t take long before we collide in bed. On the floor, actually, because Charlie is way filthier than he seems. He’s more than just pure lust under all the awkward, though. He’s worked his way into my heart and head.

Once I’ve had a taste of him, I don’t want anyone else--even though I don’t do relationships. When I learn he'll be spending Christmas alone due to a broken family life, I can’t help but invite him to my family's cabin. He says he only needs me physically, but for the first time, I might be catching feelings.

This is my favorite book in the Kinley Island series thus far.

I adored both Dean (certified tech heir and manwhore) and Charlie (socially awkward, genius computer geek). The romance develops naturally. The men have great chemistry, and there's enough sexy on page to complement the sweetness.

The angst is kept to a minimum, and the HEA is pretty great.

This book can be read as a standalone, although Alex and Landon, MCs from Fall Deep (third book), do play a role in the story.

Fun and Sexy

Charlie and Dean the heroes of Your Wish are perfect for each other.

Their journey from acquaintances to friends with benefits to HEA is one full of love , laughter , acceptance and yes , even few heartfelt tears. It also has geeky random facts , humorous , witty and snarky banter . With the perfect amount of angst and drama . And lots of spine tingling UST and utterly delicious and naughty descriptive hot AF sexy times.

Your Wish is a fast paced, engaging story . Had fun reading it.

Received an ARC of this book through LesCourt and am leaving my unbiased opinion.

An awkward nerd with a limited amount of experience in between the sheets and a sexy ass hell playboy with more experience than he can count -- falling into bed and perhaps maybe in love? Yes,yes, yes.

I LOVED the hell out of this. I was completely wrapped up in Charlie and Dean’s story from the start and found myself greedily inhaling this book in one go.

Charlie is an awkward, anxiety ridden mess who has just undergone some very shitty things back in his hometown but thinks perhaps a no strings arrangement would be perfect -- and who is more perfect than the rich playboy who doesn’t do relationships or responsibilities.

Dean is that playboy but feels like the tables have turned. He’s used to being the fuck up but this time -- this time he wants what he can’t have more than just between the sheets.

And, when these two came together though, it was : fire.

But, like all relationships Charlie and Dean have to work for their happy ending. They each have their own set of things holding them back whether it’s insecurities or outside people threatening to destroy what they are just beginning to make. And, I found myself feeling bad for Dean a lot of the time. He had led that playboy life so long that it made it hard for people to truly trust him and he got doubted a lot. But, overall I really loved this story and this couple together. They way they burnt up the sheets together was sexy as hell and watching them fall in love was even more so enjoyable.

Your Wish does contain homophobia from Charlie’s own family. It is quite upsetting and made my heart hurt for him quite a lot.

5 stars!

This books starts off on a dirty crazy scene! If you read the book before it and know this is Dean's love story, it shouldn't surprise you. The whole book stepped up the heat in a big way. And then there's Charlie- quirky, awkward, nerdy Charlie. Opposites attract, right?

I have to say I was kind of mad at Dean's brother in this book. Here he is trying to turn things around and Alex is Mr. Judgey. Also there are a couple seriously funny moments and these characters bring out the better in each other. I'm lovin this series, but you could also read this as a stand alone.

Love love loved this one! I haven’t even read the other books in the series, but had to read this one as it ticked all my boxes. Charlie is super awkward, nerdy, and absolutely adorable. Dean is a suave, billionaire, playboy who seems to be realizing he wants more in life. They both decide to start up a friends with benefits situation and let me tell you, awkward Charlie is hiding some serious hotness behind the shy facade. It also had my favorite thing ever, an embarrassing drunk scene. While this is part of series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone, and I recommend it to all who are looking for a nerdy MC and an opposites attract love story.

Better than I expected. It started a little weird for me. I didn’t immediately connect with Charlie. As the book went on though things got better. If you are following this series it was a perfectly good addition.

This was a very sweet fake boyfriends holiday story, and I really enjoyed Dane and Charlie.
The moment they drank and had their little secret, to the moment everything went as they wished, I was just cannot put this book down!
Charlie and Dane were so perfect for each other, not even them can deny the attraction between them.
The family was also great, and I loved family in holiday stories.
So yeah, Your Wish was kinda fulfill my craving for a sweet holiday story with a definite happy ending!

“You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true. You may have to work for it, however.” ~ Richard Bach

Charlie, of ‘Your Wish’ by Raleigh Reubins, has just started his dream job with Allerico Tech. One of his first duties is to attend a company party. For most people, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but for Charlie, who suffers from social anxiety, it’s a nightmare. Charlie’s a whiz at understanding computers, but people remain a mystery. Worse yet, it is a nonalcoholic event. In order to assuage his fears, Charlie turns to some liquid courage at his desk, before going down to the party. Unfortunately, he is caught by Dean Aldridge, second in command of the company. Charlie is sure that he has lost his job. Instead of being chastised, Dean just smiles then pulls out his own flask. Maybe things aren’t so bad after all.

Dean is the public face of Allero Tech. Despite his bad boy reputation, that often calls for enormous amounts of damage control for the company, Dean is an expert as schmoozing. His brother, Alex, is CEO of the company and stays in the background handling the business side of their organization. Dean can, and does, charm the pants off of everyone, man or woman. Dean resents having to attend this party for work, but knows that important people will be there, including their newest hire in charge of cyber security, whom Dean is supposed to welcome. When he realizes that the man he caught drinking is the same one that he’s there to meet, he’s amused, but unusually charmed as well. After all, Charlie is an awkward computer nerd who would otherwise never be on his radar. Dean takes him under his wing and helps him maneuver the party. Dean flirts with him shamelessly. Since he doesn’t get a clear response, he assumes that Charlie is probably straight. Still, the thought of having sex with Charlie remains in his mind. Dean decides he needs to find an excuse to see him again. When Dean finds that his computer is truly and completely messed up, it’s the perfect excuse to do so.

Like almost everyone, Charlie knows about Dean’s reputation. He doesn’t even venture to dream that Dean would be interested in someone like himself, but it doesn’t keep him from wishing. He is surprised, but pleased, when Dean visits Kinley Island to have dinner with Alex and his boyfriend. He is happy to fix Dean’s computer. One day, Dean gives Charlie a ride home. Dean is good on the way home, but when Charlie tells him that he wants to have sex with him, Dean is floored. He desperately wants Charlie, but doesn’t want to take advantage of him. Probably for the first time in his life, Dean isn’t willing to sacrifice Charlie for his carnal pleasures; Dean turns him down.

I love the Kinley Island series and have been waiting to see how Raleigh was going to work out a happy ending for Dean, the “incorrigible” playboy. I was delighted to see that it took someone like Charlie, Dean’s total opposite, to ‘tame’ him. Thanks, Raleigh, for another gratifying read.

Imagine Dean's predicament: splayed out naked on a soft rug, somehow throwing his alcoholic drink on his nether regions, all while he realizes how lonely he is.

This happens in the first pages of this book and I was hooked. Raleigh Ruebins already managed to get me hot,sad and snickering, all at the same time. Yeah, because this author is awesome like that!

It only gets better after Dean meets Charlie. They couldn't be more different, the cocky, self assured playboy and the socially awkward, anxiety ridden computer geek. Yet,somehow, attraction flairs high, convincing them to agree on a mutually beneficial, only sex, relationship. You can't imagine how hot they are together, how intense their chemistry.

And it would have gone brilliantly, if only feelings hadn't come into play. Neither know how to deal with that, not with all their emotional hangups. I cheered and hooted so much when they finally pulled through whatever kept them from admitting that they're in love.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗵 is another wonderful book by Raleigh Ruebins. Gripping storytelling, with endearing main characters and likable secondary ones. The book is sweet, entertaining, burning hot and an absolutely heart-warming opposites  attract romance.

Can't recommend it enough.

Every book in this series can be read as standalone but you'll find throughout the narration many familiar faces and couples, so I suggest reading the previous books first to avoid spoilers. Now is the turn of Dean and Charlie and their love story. The plot is interesting, with a lot of romance and hot scenes, but also with a great story about how love influenced them to start a journey through their own personal growth to ensure a better future together. I don't want to overshare and spoil it for you, but from all the book in the series is my favorite for the way the author manages all these topics inside a very sweet and cute love story. Great reading!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

dnf at 45%. I almost expected this if I'm being honest. The chemistry was good but I think there's such a thing as too much chemistry. They were going for a fuck-buddies situation but right from the first time the way they had sex didn't fit the situation at all. Not like they even actually fucked until the third time they got together but all the 'baby's and 'honey's totally gave off a we've-been-married-for-twenty-years vibe more than we-just-met-and-we're-fuck-buddies-but-i'm-totally-smitten thing.

Two men with a no strings relationship realize it never was. Man I enjoyed this. I mean the beginning had me hooked, but the story was amazing. It had the right amount of angst, but a lot of fun. I loved the MC’s together.
My only compliant. With C being as smart as he is. I feel like he should have had more to his vocab the OMG.

Your wish

In the previous book I didn’t like Dean at all, so I was wary of this book but oh my, he is just so ready to change! I loved finding out more about him and seeing that he so could change, for the right person and Charlie was definitely that person! Nerdy, sexy and just so sweet, they are complete opposites but so right together.
I loved the pace of the book, I rapidly read through it, not wanting to stop reading. I loved the way Dean was just so great with Charlie. Jack did annoy me though, he wasn’t prepared to listen to Dean and couldn’t see that love needed to win out. I loved Vanessa, always on the go and willing to help. I felt Dean should have asked for help with the Johan situation but I got why he didn’t want to and he proved himself in the end.
Fab read!

I loved, loved, loved Dean and Charlie. I couldn’t wait forDean’s book after meeting him in book 3 of this series.

Dean is known as the party man. Never in relationship. In the lime light. He is asked to mingle with Charlie at the work party by his brother as he Charlie is socially awkward.

What do you get when you out together the nerd and 5r life of the party. You get a whole lot of surprises. These two were so meant for each other and just fit together perfectly. They had such an awesome physical and emotional connection. By the end of The book, I was so swooning over them.

Don’t miss out by not reading this book. My favorite of the series. Way to go

He's so shy and sweet and the way Dean turns Charlie's world upside down is absolutely delicious
I love the pure chemistry and angst in this story.
Dean's family is amazing and are a great support for their children.

"Your Wish" by Raleigh Ruebins is another novel in "Kinley Island" series. It is worth mentioning that the author once again creates a unique and extremely addictive story, which, like every part of the series, is positively different from the previous ones. Thanks to this fact, we read this novel with undying interest.

One of the biggest advantages of "Your Wish" are undoubtedly the characters. I really like the fact that they are so extremely different from each other, which makes their interactions really fascinating. What's more, due to the differences between Charlie and Dean, their relationship, whether at the beginning we see it as friendship or mere acquaintance, pushes them to go outside their comfort zone, to open themselves to new experiences, new possibilities. Thus, in this story our characters are exposed to "forces" that they haven't dealt with so far, which to some extent is the reason they must change and adapt to the new situation. I find it really fascinating.

A huge plus of this novel is also the way the author creates Charlie. First, she gives us a general picture of who Charlie is, how people surrounding him perceive him, and how he sees himself. Subsequently, Raleigh Ruebins juxtaposes all that with what is hidden under this character's exterior, as well as introduces into his story someone who brings this "other" Charlie to light. Thus, in "Your Wish" we see a motif of "still waters", which are not so still at all, as they run deep, which I really enjoyed.

The author builds her other main character in a similar way, so Dean's creation is also interesting, successful and noteworthy. In his case, we see a motif of a shallow person, who in fact turns out to have depth and numerous advantages which are waiting to be discovered. Just like in Charlie's case, Raleigh Ruebins juxtaposes Dean with someone who gives him the opportunity to show himself from a different angle, who brings out the best in him. I think it's really important in this novel, as Dean is quite an eccentric character.

In summary, "Your Wish" is a fantastic, interesting and full of advantages story that is really worth reading. This is undeniably one of the best parts of the series.

______________________________

„Your Wish” autorstwa Raleigh Ruebins jest kolejną powieścią serii „Kinley Island”.
historia

Jedną z największych zalet „Your Wish” są niewątpliwie bohaterowie.

Podsumowując, „Your Wish” to fantastyczna, interesująca i pełna zalet historia, którą naprawdę warto przeczytać. To niezaprzeczalnie jedna z najlepszych części serii.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Your Wish
is the newest release in Raleigh Ruebins' Kinley Island series. I've grown to look forward to each new release in the series and this one might be my favorite of the series so far. We met one of the main characters, Dean, in the previous Kinley Island book and I immediately wanted him to get his happily ever after.

"I wanted something real. People had been asking me what I wanted for Christmas, and maybe what I wanted was someone who could handle me, in every sense of the word."

Dean is the ultimate good time guy. He enjoys having fun and is unashamed of his sexual escapades. Charlie recently moved to Kinley Island and has gotten a job at Allerio Tech in cybersecurity. Charlie has social anxiety and the thought of socializing makes him want to hide away with his computers. Dean being the social face of Allerio Tech is told to make Charlie feel comfortable and in doing so finds himself intrigued by this shy man. Dean finds excuses to spend time with Charlie and is surprised when Charlie asks for exactly what Dean is known for, sex. They plan on keeping things between them purely physical but both Dean and Charlie find themselves becoming attached with the way they feel when together. But with Deans life in the spotlight and Charlies extreme anxiety a future between them seems impossible.

"Because there's nobody like you, Charlie," I said. "Everything about you is surprising."

Dean starts of as a playboy but a fun-loving one who doesn't discriminate and just wants to have a good time. In this book we get to see behind that surface layer and get to see the real him. He grows so much in this book thanks to his interactions with Charlie. Charlie is his complete opposite and he constantly feels he's not good enough for him. His lack of faith in himself killed me and it hurt when others included his brother assumed the worst of him.

"I could feel his heartbeat, now, too, and it was hammering just as fast as mine was. This was a side of Dean Aldridge that no one in the world had ever seen. This was the Dean that only I would ever see."

Charlie was an absolute adorable nerd of a human. He was painfully shy, had extreme social anxiety, and was just getting comfortable as being out as a gay man. His previous relationship that outed him and caused a rift in his family makes him not a fan of the spotlight. Yet, Dean brings out a different side to Charlie and with him he is more comfortable in himself and actually becomes the aggressor when it comes to their physical relationship. I loved every part of Charlie and Deans relationship both in and out of the bedroom. The were always so kind with each other and physically they were explosive and hot as hell !

"I hate it too. I need my human calculator."
"And I need my human Hand-warmer."

Your Wish was a sweet MM romance with an added bonus of being set during the holidays. A fantastic addition to the Kinley Island crew and I can't wait to see whose next!

This was my first full length read by this author.
I felt that the book had its moments ;
Ups and downs throughout.
(This refers to the writing, not the story itself.) There were times when the story took incredibly humorous and enjoyable turns, and others when the story was very serious and bordering on angsty.
The story itself, though lengthy, is enjoyable, and holds fast to the original plot. World building a bit obscure, but character development very, very good (except that there was no mention of Dean's age, which always frustrates me).
Inappropriate cover image. (who Is that on the cover?)
However, there were times when I felt almost like segments were written by someone else altogether... Where the writing and dialogue became temporarily choppy and didn't quite flow comfortably.
The story: playboy billionaire meets shy nerdy guy who is employed by the company he is heir to.
I must be honest, I did like that said playboy showed tremendous growth throughout the book, in his effort and determination to change and become more responsible, thanks to his (unadmitted) developing feelings for the second mc.
On the negative side, however, I really felt that this author didn't do quite enough homework with regards to the workings of the "billionaire lifestyle". Eg: such an individual would almost certainly have security (bodyguards) lawyers, household staff, drivers and the like in his employ, who would have a permanent presence in his life.
In this case, there were none of those.
So, on the strength of that, I think the story is somewhat unrealistic. I realise this is fiction and the author can take artistic licence, but personally I prefer a story to have just a small element of authenticity to have me believe in it.
For these reasons, though this is a sweet romantic story, I personally can't recommend it with absolute conviction. By the third or fourth to last chapter, I was just wishing it would be over already.

°Part of a series of standalones.
°Heat level around 3.5 🔥 for explicit scenes of intimacy. (only two on- page scenes)
°Limited Profanity (Justified)
°No violence.
°HEA including epilogue.
°mm gay/bisexual romance.
°I requested, and was gifted a complementary copy of this title through Lescourt Arcs, and have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed this book.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Dean Aldridge's story (we met him in Fall Deep) and we are introduced to Charlie Knapp. Charlie is an amazing IT guy one of the best out there but when Alex asks Dean to introduce himself to him and help him get through the company Christmas party neither knew what he was asking of him. Dean has always been jetting off somewhere and hooking up with someone new. He so far hadn't found that one person that made him want to stay. He wonders however if a man with anxiety issues just might be the one. There is just something about Charlie that makes Dean want to get to know him more and actually stick around for awhile. Dean however has a problem that he is afraid will drive Charlie away. Charlie knows he is the nerd that you see hanging out in the corner not talking to anyone at a party. So far though he can't even seem to make himself go to the party. He wants to impress his new boss and put his past behind him he just isn't sure he is quite ready for that first step. When he first meets Dean he wonders what it is about the party boy they all talk about that makes him feel so calm. Will their issues drive them together or apart? Can they find that HEA they both really want but have never truly found in another?

This is another amazing story by this author. There are ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book have you hooked from the first word to the very end. This men show us no matter what your gender life is about worries and how we over come them. Like am I good enough or am I brave enough. This author shows us that we all have these feelings and we should embrace them to show others all of us. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Charlie is such a sweetheart and quickly finds himself falling for Dean, the tech heir playboy. However, Dean seems to have met his match in Charlie and drama ensues when Dean is blackmailed by a former lover and isn't sure on his stand towards relationships. Charlie makes him feel things that no one else has and it has him off kilter.
Charlie's social anxiety normally has him out of action at an gatherings, especially large one for work but when around Dean, that all seems to disappear and he blossoms under his attention. He slowly learns to stand up for himself and what he wants as well which is especially important when Dean is unsettled with what he wants between the two of them. Charlie recently lost contact with his family after being forced out to them but the way he's learning more about himself and what he wants, the easier he is finding it to reach out and also stand up against those who put him down. It's so wonderful to read as he clearly feels quite adrift from a lot of people except his cousin and roommate.
Dean definitely doesn't help himself when it comes to their relationship, or the family tech business he is a part of. He does grow as a person though, as we go through the story and I'm thinking Charlie has quite a lot to do with that. His way of thinking about himself and others is altered and a future becomes possible that he never thought of before.
This is a really cute, opposites attract romance. I love an awkward nerdy type getting the chance at their HEA, especially with someone so different from themselves. There's a lot of adorable moments but heat sparks of the page whenever the two men get together! Definitely a recommended festive read from this enjoyable author.

Love comes in any form....

A socially inept but very brilliant nerd. A celebrity playboy and bisexual rich man. What could these two possibly have in common, aside from the workplace, of course? I would say nothing aside from that, but I am wrong.

Charlie has recently moved to Kinley Island and landed an amazing job with Allerio Tech. He had a fallout with his family back home and had to leave.

Dean is known for being a playboy, he is the face of Allegro, while his brother Alex handles the business aspect of it all.

What started out as a way to help his brother entertain the new hires of the company and to make the new cybersecurity expert as comfortable as possible became the start of a relationship. Who knew that these two would just hit it off, after a shaky start?

A sweet, endearing read! Charlie and Dean are so adorable. They came together expecting a no-strings-attached hook-up but it became more. I love how unexpected Charlie is, he defies the definition of “nerd.” And Dean’s classic playboy ways is just his way of looking for the “one” who’ll fit him. The way he feels about Charlie and what he is willing to sacrifice surprises him so much! You’ll love them!

The book also deals with very common issues like anxiety, the stigma of being in the public eye.

4.5 Stars

From the start, I was completely engrossed in Your Wish by Raleigh Ruebins. First of all, the opening scene is hysterical. That alone is worth picking up this book.

Charlie and Dean are such opposites, yet they find each other not only attractive, but also charming. Charlie's so darn awkward and adorable that one can't help but to love him. Meanwhile, Dean's a rich playboy who's always in the news. In the past, he never cared about how his actions affected anyone, but in Charlie he finds someone worth protecting.

I truly love, love, love this story! Along with navigating their feelings for each other, the reader is entertained with an ex and some blackmail. I love this story and I love these guys together. The emotions are high with this one, as you'll smile, laugh, get angry, and swoon. Don't miss out on this marvelous couple and their journey.

Your Wish is a spectacular story of finding a purpose in life. The author knows how to develop a wonderful story, but I continue to find some of the conversation scenes cringe worthy, with the repeated use of "he said." The strength of the story and the amazing characters make up for this negative though, but I still have to deduct half a star for this issue.

I am in LOVE!
This book is absolutely FABULOUS.

I love this series and I love Raleigh Ruebins' writing style, but I did not expect to love this book soooo much! It's AWESOME.
It is a fast paced, super sexy love story featuring filthy rich Allerio Tech heir and shy, a little bit awkward IT genius with social anxiety. It is FULL of feelings and I got sucked into Dean and Charlie's world from the very beginning, I couldn't wait for their HEA. They are PERFECT for each other!

This is not exactly friends-to-lovers type of book but we get to know both MCs and see them spend some time together before they get intimate. The chemistry between them is compelling. They can't get enough of each other.
This is a type of book I love the most - an unlikely couple finds love and happiness. Dean and Charlie couldn't be more different and yet they are a perfect match.

It is a super SWEET and ADORABLE story with scorching hot sex and cute MCs . There are some tough parts, some problems, but there is also a VERY HAPPY ending and the whole story is nothing but heartwarming, relaxing and LOVELY!

So I’ll be honest - when I started this book, I was pretty sure I was not going to like the character of Dean. You know the type - rich playboy obsessed with partying and having sex. And I was already pretty sure Charlie was a precious cinnamon roll. Turns out I was half right.

Charlie is totally a precious cinnamon roll. And Dean is a party boy player. But I ended up liking Dean. Raleigh Ruebins did a masterful job of turning the spoiled rich boy into a deeply flawed but immensely compelling character who you can’t help but root for.

This is a really adorable story set at Christmastime, featuring two young men with difficult pasts, learning that their lives can be more than they ever thought. There’s hot sex (for real), just the right amount of drama to keep you hooked without burning you out, and definite chemistry. Also a hedgehog. It could have used more hedgehog, actually.

Read it. It keeps you engaged throughout, and you’ll really root for the characters. If you’re looking for a story that leaves you just feeling good, give this one a try.

I absolutely adored this book from page 1! Dean is a scandalous billionaire heir of a tech company that is getting bored with his playboy life. Charlie is a newly hired tech expert that couldn't be more socially awkward. Their first meeting occurs when Charlie is stealing a nip of liquid courage in his office before a company party. Dean is pleasantly surprised by this strangely attractive, so not his type, bundle of angst. As Dean and Charlie's story progresses, we learn that both of them are more than they seem. When Charlie is around Dean, he seems to lose some of his awkwardness and even becomes bold, and Dean seems to realize that around Charlie, there is more to life than parties and drunken revelry. This book is funny, super sexy, and has a HEA that will bring a smile to your face. A fun read for sure!
