Jamie provides parents with a realistic and guilt-free approach to attachment parenting. This book spends time focussing on the scientific and anthropological evidence behind the why's of parenting.

There is also an emphasis on the fact that attachment parenting is not an all-or-nothing approach. It's not just for hippy moms. You can take what works for you and leave the rest.

This was a great breakdown of the Baby Bs. And how different types of family can find reasonable ways to work it into their lives.

Jamie adds in some personal stories of her own children but it is not memoir. They're appropriate to the topic.

It was a great read. I can't wait for more from Jamie.

While I’m not yet a parent, I feel like this book gave me a ton of ideas of things I can do to bond with my child! The author also has such a calm and validating way of speaking about things, which I am sure will be important to come back to when I am a stressed out new parent. The language throughout was also pretty inclusive and I love how she included scenarios for premie babies and adopted babies. Overall, great first parenting read.

A very informative and quick guide to attachment parenting. Jamie has a great way of instilling confidence in anyone considering this approach. Whilst the book isn't an AP manual as such, Jamie provides a very clear explanation of the key elements to think about with lots of brilliant recommended resources if you want further reading.

This book didn’t teach me anything dramatically new, but it was nice to have things I believe backed up by science. It gave me a stronger foundation for my parenting philosophies and reassurance that even when I’m not perfect, I am 100% perfect for my baby. I will continue to parent with more confidence and belief in how I am raising my children to be good humans!

A brilliant little book. It's more like a brief overview of attachment parenting theory than a long book, but it's a great and accessible introduction to it.
Some parenting books can be quite judgemental or unrealistic of people's situations, but this author was a refreshing change.
Included a fantastic foreword from Alanis Morissette, too, which I loved!

This is a great book to read while awaiting baby's arrival, or just after birth. Unfortunately I found it after my toddler turned one and I wish there was a bit more info for toddler parents as well. However, I would definitely recommend this for new or expecting parents.

Quick guide with hopefully useful tips, but ultimately about connecting and reading your baby to meet his or her needs with love!

It's fine just a lot of typos

Short read, didn't really learn much but it was an OK read... Just wish someone had proofread it though for that price.

Validating

As a new mom, I've struggled with what is normal and what is natural. Grumet gives you her take and anthropological resources to digest, which is therapeutic.
