"Will...get me pregnant." Sixteen years ago, I lost the love of my life. Callum was everything to me, right up until a twist of fate tore us apart. After that, I thought Cal was out of my life good. But I thought wrong. Now, Cal's back, and he only wants one thing from a baby. Talk about a curve ball, right? It might have been, if I didn't happen to run the best fertility clinic in the city. Even though I know Cal and I are still over, I'd never dream of denying him the chance to become a father. Even though having a baby is the last thing on my mind. Even though the sperm donor he ends up choosing bears a striking number of similarities to, well... me. But if I thought hooking my favorite ex-boyfriend up with some premium baby batter was going to be the end of it, turns out I'm wrong again. Sparks are flying between Cal and I, and the hotter the flames of passion burn between us, the more complicated the story gets. See, Cal isn't my only ex. When my psychopathic, baby-crazy former boyfriend learns that Cal and I might have a chance together, he'll stop at nothing to break us up all over again. But that's the thing about sometimes, the harder the universe pulls you away from each other, the closer you become. I'll do whatever it takes to protect Cal and his baby, whether it's mine or not. This time, Cal's mine, and he's staying that way. I'm not making the same mistake twice.
Reading trashy gay romance novels is a glorious form of self-care & I needed a palate cleanser after being emotionally destroyed by Brokeback Mountain. In this regard, this book did NOT disappoint.
There are numerous passages where the author clearly mixes up the names of major characters in ways that obstruct the plot (LOL). The characters are amazingly insecure, continually needing to re-establish that they are Ivy League Educated, and at the Top of Their Fields, and Drive Tesla’s, Etc to be seen as legitimate to one another. The two men use groan-worthy pet names for one another in every other sentence to signal their love, and are borderline incapable of communicating their feelings. In a surprising turn, cis men in this novel’s fictional universe are sorted into Alpha (masc! dom!) Men and Omega (soft! sub! capable of pregnancy!) Men, making gay couples reproductively viable in ways that recreate & reinforce absurd stereotypes about sexual preferences / gender roles. (Gay Men’s Pregnancy Romance may actually just be its own sub-genre that I haven’t encountered before? Worth investigation.) Women still exist, but barely, and not as characters with speaking roles. The plot is driven by a crazy villainous ex who does outlandishly, extravagantly crazy villainous things with no clear explanation or motive offered at all. There’s lots of sex scenes written with comically self-serious, blunt descriptions of physical acts.
In short, it’s terrible. So, so terrible. Which is to say, it was everything I wanted it to be. Which is to say, I loved it.
One douche-ex, a gorgeous college flame, and a cup of baby batter. First: I know it says daddy, but this is not daddy kink. ^_~ This is a sweet a/o m-preg romance.
Likes: I like Callum, he's a feisty Omega who blurs his presentation. (He's presents more Alpha than Omega.) If you want a story about male pregnancy, this one doesn't flinch. Warnings: Abusive ex, spying, libel, illegal acts. (It's absolutly an hea,.)
Dislikes.
Sixteen years is a very long time to not figure out your ex is absolutely batshit, especially if you work with them every day.
The original breakup story for Callum and Liam needed a little more oomph.
Recommended for: M-preg fans who enjoy books set over the entire pregnancy. 💜🐧💜
A second-chance romance for Callum and Liam who dated in college. Callum warns Liam Will was trying to break them up, but Liam is not smart enough to see it. Even years later, Liam is still not seeing the horrible person Will is and goes along with things in their relationship he does not agree with. Callum wants a stable relationship with one man, but he is not a typical Omega. Throw in a crazy ex and someone out to damage Callum's professional career. i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Liam and Callum. They dated in college and broke up, and LIam went on to date Will for the next 16 years. Both Liam and WIll are alphas and fertility doctors with their own practice in New York. They recently entered into an open relationship, but Liam is not interested in finding anyone else, but Will is seeing other omegas. When Liam finds out Will is betraying him, they break up and lIam leaves to return to his fathers' house. Callum is an omega who runs a company that helps new businesses and when he learns his boyfriend cheated and got pregnant, he decides to return to New York to see his mother. Callum also admits he was jealous and wants a baby. Callum's mother mentions Liam and his practice, so Callum messages him and they agree to meet the next morning. Liam was surprised to hear from Callum and looks forward to catching up with him, but there is still an attraction between them. Callum flirts with Liam and tells him he wishes he would be the father instead of a donor, but Liam is not ready to have children. Liam says he will help Callum be a father, but he secretly wishes Callum would decide he wanted to be with Liam and see if they can be together before they have a baby. Callum secretly wishes Liam could be the father and they could be together, but he understands Liam is not ready, so they agree to be friends. When Callum starts to lose business, he has to go to find out why his contracts are all cancelling on him and he flies to London. Liam misses Callum and he is also dealing with Will becoming more difficult to work with. I really loved this story. I think Callum and LIam were adorable together. I loved their connection and chemistry. Great story.
This is an emotionally moving second chance romance for Liam and Cal. They dated in college and were so good together but for some reason neither can remember exactly why they broke up but, for Liam especially, they were the love of each other's lives. Since they broke up Liam has been dating Will but just recently Will has asked for an open relationship and despite his reservations Liam agrees despite having no plans to see anyone else, in his opinion his relationship with Will is enough for him. But then he catches Will doing something unforgivable and he realises that it is not as hard to walk away as he imagined. When Cal gets back to town after being cheated on by his ex he decides that he wants to settle down and have a baby and wouldn't you know it but Liam owns a fertility clinic. The banter between these two is hilarious and there is plenty of snark, chemistry and emotion. The old feelings are still there but will either one be willing to open themselves up to rekindling their old flame? But things aren't going to be easy as Will isn't about to go give up his nefarious plans quietly and his plans include tricking Liam & Cal into falling into his trap, will he be successful?

This author continues to amaze me with his wonderful ability to write exceptionally heartwarming MM/Mpreg romances & it was definitely a pleasure to read this enjoyable Mpreg romance with a “second-chance” undertone. This plot is well-written & intriguing with some unexpected surprises, ensuring that the reader’s attention is firmly kept until the end. The characters start off by being at different points in their lives but soon develop emotional feelings for each other & continue to develop throughout the story-line to become emotional strong individuals who love each other. There is good some support from the secondary characters. There is: a male omega (Callum) approaches his ex (Liam, who is now a fertility Doctor) for a baby & the donation is successful then the attractions start to flare but Liam’s conniving baby-crazy ex (Will) is causing problems, drama, intrigue, some twists, deceit, threats, danger, manipulations, jealousy, disagreements, memories, longings, a defamatory website, misunderstandings, discovery, attempted blackmail, surprises, happiness, love, some steam & a well-deserved happy conclusion.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

Liam is an alpha who has been in a relationship for 16 years when he finds his partner doing the unthinkable. He leaves their shared home and on the way receives a text from the omega he'd broken up with those 16 years ago. Cal is a successful omega who seems, unlike the usual expectations, except when he is confronted with an omega partner who has gotten pregnant with an alpha, and he finds himself more envious than betrayed. At his mother's advice, he reaches out to his ex, who now runs a successful fertility clinic. The chemistry between Liam and Cal explodes, but they seem to be at a different point in their lives. What ensues is a story of reuniting, betrayal, dealing with business issues, reevaluating life's priorities, and finding their way. Here is another offering from an author who never fails to give his best. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fertility Clinics are so important in modern times. After centuries of infertile couples being unable to conceive and bear children. Giving them the love and joy that had been missing from their life. Sometimes it was Single Omegas who wanted a child no longer wanting to wait for a partner.
But what happens when a long term couple have a difference of opinion on whether or not to have children? The frustration, anger, short tempered, aggravated, persistence, feeling bereft without a child and being denied one. As well as someone who did not want a child and being pushed to sire one. Feeling upset, shocked, betrayed, and miserable.
This was an entertaining book with a stalking situation that was creepy, job threatening, and majorly frustrating. the mysterious dropping away of business clients was agitating and alarming. Friends became enemies, Exs became friends, everything seemed topsy turvy.
Sixteen years ago Liam lost the love of his life. But a twist of fate brings Callum back into his life in an unexpected way. Callum wants a baby. Liam runs the best fertility clinic in the city and Callum is yearning for a baby.
A baby is the furthest thing from Liam’s mind but he can’t deny Callum the chance to be a father. Liam finds it odd that the donors he presents to Callum all have a striking resemblance to him. Liam hopes that means that he and Callum may have a chance at rekindling their romance.
However, Callum isn’t Liam’s only ex and his baby crazed ex makes things difficult for Liam and Callum.
I love second chance romances and this one didn’t disappoint. I loved how Liam and Callum picked up where they left off and it felt like no time had passed. Another great story from this author.

This is the great story of Callum and Liam. They met and dated in college, they were each other's first love yet neither one of them remembers why they broke up. Sixteen years later, Callum texts Liam about coming in for a consult as Callum wants a baby and Liam runs a fertility clinic. Liam has just gone through a break-up after a long term relationship and can't believe how much he's not heartbroken about the split. Sparks fly when Liam sees Callum again, but can he even think of a relationship with Callum when he wants to be a father and Liam is not ready. The characters have depth, charisma, and great personalities. The storyline is intriguing, suspenseful and passionate. Great read!

This one began quite well, but then... it got unnecessarily complicated. The plot was downright silly. I would have bought the whole 'it's really my baby!' thing if it had been just a freaking accident. Psycho boyfriend stashed the stolen sperm at the bank, and that was the one that Cal choose. But that being part of a plan? How he would have managed to be sure that that was the one chosen? And the whole bugged cap thing? Really? That's... argh!
Nevertheless, the romance was sweet, so there is that :P
Now, Ken Kamlet's narration was... uneven. I hated some parts (the laughs, the sighs, the panting, the way he said cupcake), but others were really good. I guess I'll have to wait and see what comes next from him.
OMG this book was hilarious! Liam and Callum were made for each other, it's just a pity Liam's deranged ex is the reason they lost so many years together. Aiden's brilliance at using something no sane person would do into a plot point was what made the book so funny. Well that and the over the top tongue in cheek humor. Charlie's inspiration to use a tire iron is what parenting is all about when someone hurts the one you love. Jeanne finally convinced Liam to stop lying to himself and everyone around him and to take a risk and go after what he really wanted in life.

The two MCs Liam and Callum are both great and there’s no rushing to the rescue only help and support. Liam and Cal are ex’s from college who have broken from their current partners and meet up again. This is a great story which I enjoyed very much because the “omega” is smart and strong while the “alpha” is supportive and helpful (although has a tendency to want to rescue and doesn’t want to be a father, yet). Meanwhile things are falling apart in both their separate businesses which doesn’t help their relationship. Loved it enough to buy though I read it in KU.
A fertility doctor being asked by his high school ex-boyfriend to make him pregnant just after he broke up with his current boyfriend of 16 years starts a crazy series of events, bringing the first back onto his boyfriend radar and by revenge/wish for a child he cannot have making him a father to the child the first one craved. A funny story which makes you want to continue reading of what is going to happen next. Crazy, but still in the range of believable - discounting male pregnancy - it is an entertaining book for any time of the year. This was definitely different from Aiden’s other books. But definitely not different bad. I fell in love with Callum and Liam. Callum is a hoot and you can’t help laugh at all his antics. Liam is the serious one, the logically one and the one that falls the hardest. They have a unfinished past and their future is so much sweeter. But they have an adversary they have to get through before they can get their happily ever after.

Callum is determined to have a baby. Liam doesn't want to have a child. 16 years is a long time. Will Cal get his wish? How will Liam handle everything thrown at him?
Loved how despite the years that had past neither could deny the chemistry. I loved how Callum wanted what he wanted and owned it, despite maybe wishing for it differently. I didn't blame Liam for not wanting a child, but loved how he adapted to everything that was going on around him and stepped up when Callum needed him. Good read!

Callum and Liam reconnect after 16 years and despite trying to remain 'just friends', the chemistry between them is still smoldering, their feelings are just as strong, And their passion is just as intense. This is an entertaining story with many great characters and an interesting storyline with laughs, twists, danger, and more that leads to a genuine love and a satisfying HEA.

Liam and Callum were in a relationship their freshman year in college but broke up. Liam has been with Will since their sophomore year, sixteen years. They run a sperm bank and are successful but their relationship falls apart. Callum and his boyfriend split up and he decides he wants a baby so he goes to Liam's to get impregnated. When they see each other they know that they still care for each other but think it's to late for them. I really enjoyed this book.

Ex-lovers to friends to lovers and dads. Liam and Cal's story is so good. They have to deal with business disasters, webpage attacks, a delusional ex-boyfriend and through it all also have to rebuild their relationship and find the courage to reach for happiness.

Liam and Will’s romance is already on shaky ground when Cal comes to the clinic looking to get pregnant. Will’s unethical behaviour and jealousy of Liam and Cal’s previous relationship finally drives Liam away. When someone sabotages Cal’s business, Liam gets very protective as more things happen.

Some men can't take no for an answer. Will knows Liam wants to be a dad, even when Liam tells him differently. Then, Liam's first love, Cal, walks in, things change. But Will messed up and Liam can't forgive him. Complicated but not. Fun and exciting read.
Doctor Daddy by Aiden Bates is a contestant mpreg with second chance romance flair. It's full of angst, humor, drama, heat and sweetness... it includes a plotting and jealous ex, a few surprises, and two men meant to be together. I loved Cal and Liam!
I love anything written by Aiden Bates! This story had it all, humor, intrigue, romance and second chances! I absolutely love the dynamic between Cal and Liam! I really hope this was the beginning of more!
