Her mission on a rebel world nearly complete, Sister Miriya looks forward to executing an arch-traitor and ending the war – until Battle Sisters of another order arrive and throw everything into doubt.
READ IT BECAUSE Delve into the internecine politics of the Adepta Sororitas and the Ecclesiarchy in a devious tale that takes Sister Miriya to dark places and shows the true pious faith of the Sisters of Battle.
THE STORY The world of Meseda Quintus has been devastated by holy war – consequences of its people turning their backs on the God-Emperor. Amid the ruins of the last dissident city, Sister Miriya of the Adepta Sororitas is relieved that the Army of the Iconoclast has been defeated. All that remains is the execution of the Iconoclast himself… or so she thinks. The arrival of Sisters of Battle from another order puts the conclusion of Miriya's mission into doubt and raises the most terrible prospect she can imagine: Sister fighting Sister.

I actually read this story earlier this year in the Sisters of battle Omnibus. I had seen through a Games Workshop ad that this book was available and didn't realize till I was a few pages into this that it was the short story in that collection. I thought about returning it (was on an E-Reader) but then I just kept reading because I enjoy the story. So its so good that its worth reading twice in a year.
This is a great story for anyone who wants to check out the Sisters of Battle but may not want to commit to a full book till they know how awesome they stories are. Once you finish this check out James Swallows other books.
