I was super excited to see this author releasing a new story... and the start of a new series. The authors previous series A Warrior’s Challenge is one of my favourite series ever so as soon as this released I grabbed a coffee and my kindle and jumped in. No matter what I say I know I’m not gonna do this story the justice it deserves with this review.

Rayne Levy is a clever, feisty girl who is starting a new job at Base Command. Here she meets some Navy Seals including the hot Lt. Elijah Bach. She is thrown in the deep end with Tropic Tango. I could go on but I’m not gonna spoil it for you.

This author is in a unique league of her own. No matter what’s happening in my life she can pull me into her story straight away. I didn’t stop reading until I had finished. Go read this and you’ll wanna go back and read her previous series. Some of the characters we read about and loved have popped in to see us and I was jumping for joy.

I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author. This has jumped into one of my favourite reads this year. So so good.

I love Ms. Water’s military stories. Her SEALS are drool worthy. I do feel like part of the story is missing between Cricket and Elijah. They knew each other for six months but didn’t have a lot of interaction and then they are in love. Would of been nice to have that part a little more fleshed out. I do have to say it was nice to see my boyfriend Mace again, he has been missed. 😊

I really love this whole series. I am so glad that the old favorites will still live on through the new series, so we can catch up with them and watch their stories continue. The one thing I wasn't a super fan of, is the length. It was super short. I thought the "climax" of the story was super rushed and seemed to go no where. I can't wait to read the next one, but I thought this one was a little rushed where the "suspense" of the romantic suspense came in.

Ughhh I LOVED this. She never fails. Ever. Ever. God I fucking love these book so much! Makes me want to reread Code Name: Ghost & Kayla’s Fire! (Though I don’t need an excuse for that, they’re my all time favourite books). Please don’t ever stop writing Natasza, I live for your books

I won this ebook in a Goodreads Giveaway. Interesting take on the life of SEALs from the point of view of their wives and girlfriends. This is a romance, but the Warrior seems to be the feminine protagonist who works with the SEALs. Some steamy scenes.

It is sooo goooood to be back in this world.
I really enjoyed reading Rayne and Elijah's story, they fit so well. Their story is suspense, adventure mixed with hot scenes and some laughs too. It was great to see again the couples from the previous series, love their close-knit group and how their ladies match their men so well, they protect their own.... together.
I am looking forward to more... and hopefully soon.

Cricket Under Fire rocketed its way to my most favorite bookshelf. It blends the anticipation of new adventures with some comfort of previous characters (from her Warriors Challenge series), setting this first story in her spin off series with a blast!

I quickly connected to Rayne in several ways which drew me all the deeper into the story. I couldn't be an analyst like her, but in all the ways that truly matter, I identified with her softer strength, her trusting spirit, her innocent nature. She gave off this vibe of needing to be protected, but yet, also had a gentle confidence and ability around her that gave her the strength she needed to stand on her own.

And who better to match up a girl like that than an alpha warrior who's lifeblood demands he protects. Some men need that sweetly soft girl in their life to give them balance and purpose - Elijah was such a man. He knew Rayne was special from the moment he ran across her, and understood just how much her presence in his life could and would change him. He respected her but didn't let her hide away, and he protected her so she could stay the woman he needed. He was a leader of men, honorable, but stubborn and bossy.

Cricket Under Fire fed my reader soul bountifully. The heart-pounding moments, the swoony-sweet memories, the intense chemistry - all combined to build the anticipation and provides laughs, heat, and anxiety.

If you're a fan of military romance with suspense and adventure thrown in, this is your story. While it is written to be enjoyed as a stand-alone, readers of the Warrior Challenge series will be delighted by the presence of several beloved characters. I definitely recommend reading those stories as well, and am anxiously awaiting what's to come.

This is an intense, exciting tale with moments of gripping drama and slow building passion. The characters are engaging, and the storyline intriguing. Rayne and Elijah’s story draws you in from the very beginning and holds your attention throughout, and their ending is not only happy but directs your interest into the next to come. It’s an extremely enjoyable, page turning romantic suspense that you’ll find hard to put down.

I just love the chemistry between Elijah and Rayne. It’s undeniable! Just reading about them gives me the tingles. I swear! I love the action, passion and suspense this book has to offer. I think the author did a really awesome job of balancing the book with these different elements. The outcome is phenomenal!
