Okay but this was really cute
*sigh* You know that feeling you get from lighting a cozy scented candle, your cat cuddling at your feet, and a warm weighted blanket wrapped around your shoulders? That was this book. It was so sweet and warm, it made me smile. And it just so happened to kinky and hot AF as well.
This series is going to be the death of me haha. Coming off of the high that was Austin, I was curious to see how Shaw was going to follow it up. So, of course, she gave Jonah TWO alphas. TWO! And I thought Silas was swoon? Well, I still do because Austin and I are twins but ugghhh Grahm and Russ. So swoon. And so sweet together. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship first and then how Jonha became a part of it. Because admittedly it took me a minute to get into this book. Not because of the MMM (I'm very much into that) but I didn't know how subby Jonha was going to fit with two unconventional alphas. Also, MMM is not the easiest thing to write nor is true poloy digetable for a lot of people. But I think that by establishing Grahm and Russ first, not just as charters but their relationship as well, it really helped in understanding them as well as why they wanted Jonah. The three of them coming together was seamless and felt very natural. Also, did I mention it was hot AF? Because this book as hot AF haha. Just the dirty talk, how Dommy they were with Jonha, this one particular scene (y'all know the one) umph. Bury me with these books.
But this was so cozy. And I keep saying cozy because Tanner's book was sweet and adorable whereas Austin was fun and sexy and made me feel alive. And while Jonha's had elements of those, the overall feel was cozy kinky comfort. It felt warm and safe. Much like how Grahm and Russ made Jonha feel. What he wanted and needed to be able to let go and just be taken care of after taking care of everyone else. The scenes where he just goes and cuddles and falls into subspace were so precious.
My only gripe, and it is a tiny one, is that because this is an MMM that is relatively the same length as the other two books, this was split up into three perspectives, not two. So, and this could just be me, it kind of felt like we didn't get to know Jonha the same way we got to know Austin and Tanner. I know him, he's a complete flushed out 3D character, but it almost feels like he didn't get the same amount of attention he would have if this was a dual perspective. I understand why it wasn't but since the omegas are the heart of this series, I can't help but have that thought in the back of my mind. It almost (keyword being almost) makes the story a 4.5 star for me but it didn't hinder my enjoyment so it's not worth a ding. Besides, after knowing this was an option and seeing the outcome, I can't imagine Jonha without both Grahm and Russ. The three of them are that perfect for each. Fated mates as Russ so adorably said.
In a way, this one was on the lower end of 5 stars for me but it still very much earns its 5 stars. Cozy, sexy, kinky, funny, what more could you want in an omega verse book with the best friend group ever. Which reminds me, before I go, the friend group. You do not have to read these stories in order and they 100% can be enjoyed as standalones. BUT, I highly recommend reading all of them, in order. You can't grasp just how much these six men love and care about each other if you don't read all the books. They're a close family close and you can tell a lot of time and love was put into developing them and their relationship with one another. They play a big role in each others lives. Austin and Dakota (whose story I'm pretty sure is next, fight me) play a big part in Jonha's book. It would suck to not know them as well. Anyways 5 stars because I wanted to snuggle this book and who doesn't want to flirt with Russ.
