World Tree Online #4

The Endless Savanna: 3rd Dive

Rate this book
Chaos has found a way to strike at the real-world. And now Bye-bye has just one week to return to the World Tree or more players will be made to suffer the same real-world consequences. Hoping to find answers, Bye-bye races across the country to the headquarters of the Seed Inc., the makers of the World Tree Online.

Back in the World Tree, the Endless Savanna awaits. A place often called the province with no end. With tribal politics, twisted beasts and monsters, and a deadly slave ring, there are more than enough dangers waiting.

Bye-bye and his friends will fight as they always have, but it still might not be enough. Will the Endless Savanna be the end of their winning streak?

Greetings and salutations! I am M.A. Carlson, author of three series, all available now. Check where my writing journey began with World Tree Online: The Curse of Hurlig Ridge, The Duchess of Hammers, The Mountain Valley War, The Endless Savanna, the Order of Epic Grinders. My second series is Planet Hero: Civilian and Sidekick. And I just released my newest novel and third series, The Devil's Game: Purgatory. I hope you enjoy the adventure and the fantastic journey that is the World Tree Online, Planet Hero, and The Devil's Game.

More about me, I love writing. I love being entertained by a good story. I wrote my first original novel a few years ago now and I can't see myself stopping writing any time soon, it's what I plan to do for the rest of my life. I am very happy to be able to share what I hope others will find as much fun to read I did to write.

Thank you and enjoy!

M.

Great book, again

One of the things I like most about this series is it's pacing and how quickly it evolves.

Another great book, in particular the team dynamics and collaboration that we can see drive the story forward. We aren't talking a single uber individual which is a nice change in the genre.

Now, the wait for the next one.

By this fourth book, the author no longer has ethical values or a moral compass. Non-Player Characters (NPCs) sexually assault, abduct and enslave NPCs and Players. Players sexually assault, abduct and enslave both NPCs and Players. What Game Company in the future could “allow” and “consent” “sexual assaults, abductions or enslavements of NPCs or players without being sued, without paying multi-million dollar in damages lawsuits? The main character requires the help of genocidal beast-folk warriors, chieftains that enslaved other beast-folk, just because the "end justified the means"...in this particular case, without any criminal consequences, destroying the main plot arc and probably a lot of the secondary story arcs....
This game company is already deep in litigation and civil action suits, especially allowing the Artificial Intelligence to mutate the first 200 players of this World Tree Online game. So, what would be the point of having such a degree of negligence and in-observance of the legal system and basic universal human rights?
The action and adventure of this book 4 is really slow until about the 80% mark.
The purpose of this book series is to defeat Epic AI and destroy all the chaos In the game, but at one or two “adventures at a time, in each book” this story is going to take forever... and thank you, but no thank you to the future books in this series...

One of the best series

One of the best series out there gets another fantastic addition.

This one was a bit different placed, with more scenes from others perspective. The author balanced it perfectly however, and I really enjoyed the story. I'm actually hoping he does a short story or something for Mic's side story at some point. Filling in more during the main story would of slowed it down I think, but I'm interested in learning more sometime.

Overall, worthy of the five stars!

This is my 2nd favourite series in LitRpg genre. The few things which could make it better are,
1). Book Cover are below average.
2). Stop Bombarding with all the Skills and Sub-Skill for pages, I know you must be thinking this is how Jacko sees in HUD, But I dont care. Just show us only the skill or (not and) sub skill. That would be enough for us.
3). AND CAN YOU PUBLISH EACH BOOK IN 45 DAYS. (LOL)
4).

This was a split decision. First half was one star, second was four star.

But overall it was a good story so I went with three. The initial problems were still the characters and the boring, predictable story. The only saving grace was the main character growing somewhat of a spine and acting like the warrior priest I remember from book one.given the actions of the rest of the main group, I have little faith for the next book.

Chaos.

Bye Bye does what he does and quests across the endless savanna fighting slavers, monsters and fallen adventurers , Clyde also does what he does and advances his "bard" class , even knowing the sourse of Roses issues she is a total high maintainance pain ,at least Baby is slightly less annoying with Titan along for the ride and our favourite minators and vision keep bumbling along , looking forward to 4th dive

Happy and excited

Another good book in the World Tree Online series. I was worried that the larger plot would stifle the story but it didn't. Characters continue to develop, relations are still dynamic, and the world is still very interesting. I'm excited to find out more about the world outside the game and cant wait to see where the gang ends up next in game.

Continues to impress

Minor typos and a great intriguing story like never understood the nick name of bye bye but if names are the only complaint to have about a story well then its gold. I look forward to the next book

Inaccuracies

Please watch national geographic or discovery channel about animals hunt. You have no clue about cheetahs. Also there are a number of errors in the text.
A suggestion if I may, the litrpg tables should be summarised. Maybe, highlight the changes

One of the series I enjoy the most in the genre. Very enjoyable characters and world building. The author could use an editor, there are a great many misused words and commas, but the story is good enough for me to ignore those issues.

Couldn't put it down

Am exciting continuation of the saga of bye bye and his party. They continue to pick up more party members and take on more dude quests throughout the book similarly to the previous books

Another great book in the series. I feel similar to another reviewer that the HUD views are sometimes a bit much. They do not need to be pages long. It is nice to see one or two, but I mostly just scroll past them which is a pity.

But mostly just keep writing!

Enjoyable

Another enjoyable book by this author, the book felt sort of short but it might be because it’s a good read. Looking forward to the next book

Excellent addition

The story keeps moving forward. Ine thing that stands out is that the hero is not the best at everything. All of the characters contribute in major ways.

Good read

I really like this series. I feel like it’s bogging down a little in this book, but I overall recommend it.

So... many.... typos

A good read spoiled by insufficient editing; secondary characters' plot lines could be interwoven into the story rather than rehashed in a brief synopsis.
