Secrets of the Bibles starts out with the same fast paced that ended the last book. Near broke and with their careers in shatters, Bridget and Scott get back in the game searching for the Constantine Bible. The Vatican has all but one of these Bibles commissioned by Emperor Constantine. The one missing was given to the Bishop of Jerusalem and is said to contain a message written by Constantine that is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Bridget and Scott plan to find this Bible and regain their careers. In order to get the money, Scott, unknowingly, makes a deal with the devil.....Schultz, the man behind the attempted murder of Bridget.

Fr. McGregor pairs up to help the Donavans but his main reason to gain the Bible for the Vatican.

A reporter wanting his last big story joins forces with Schultz. Schultz sends is daughter, Gerti, with Scott and Bridget as part of the agreement to front them the money.

There is a great deal of action, more murder attempts, deceit, love and a lot of double crossing that occurs.

This was another enjoyable read in the Donavan Chronicles. I think it would be a good pick for fans of Dan Brown. I liked the blending of history, religion, mystery, and action. It was a little hard for me to stay focused during parts of it and certain phrases irked me (ex. "In for a penny, in for a dollar" - Isn't the expression "In for a penny, in for a pound?"). Also, I sometimes got weirded out by the relationship between the Donavan siblings and how they saw each other. I listened to the Audible audio version narrated by John M. Perry. He sounds a little robotic - maybe it's that his pronunciations are just a little too "crisp." I liked that he didn't use the high-pitched and whiny voice for his female characters, which seems to be so common for many male narrators doing female characters. Overall, an enjoyable book and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book of the series.

Cool adventure, no secrets.

Joy of a book.
A bomb exploded in the underground train, FBI Jack is chasing the suspect around the world only to find out that it wasn’t the bomber but a different kind of a crook.
The author Tom Haase imagination creates a cool story.
Not much to say only that the story is worth reading or listening to.
One thing for sure, this author knows twisting, excepted and unexpected twists.
How it ends I leave for you.

Beautiful narration by John M. Perry for each of the characters in this creation.

Somewhat disappointed

Though I enjoyed Mr. Haase's previous book of the Donovan Chronicles, I found this one lacking. I don't believe that rape should be so intensely described and glorified. The subject is not entertaining. Also, the end left me without any answers. Since the book is fiction, I expected more regarding the subject.
