Seven years ago, a serial killer murdered an FBI agent's wife.
And the government framed the agent.
Now the killer is back.
“The heart-pounding serial killer thrillers that will leave you breathless.”
After the police discover a ritualistic murder in South Carolina, Agent Scarlett Bell notices the killing is eerily similar to a case from seven years ago. Is the new murder linked to the assassination of a popular congresswoman?
When the serial killer abducts another woman, Scarlett battles government officials who wish to silence her investigation and aligns herself with fugitive Logan Wolf.
Is this the end of Scarlett Bell?
Evading corrupt FBI agents who want her dead, Scarlett races to stop the sadistic killer.
But this time, Scarlett is in the killer's crosshairs.
I couldn't stop reading this book, even though I was trying to savor it as the last in the series. Like all the rest, it hooked me from the opening and didn't let go. I really hope we see these characters again in one of the author's other great series.
Let me start by saying WOW!!! This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Dan Padavona has got the suspense, action and intensity down. This is a short intense read. Not sure how he gets a complete story in under a 100 pages, but he does it and in my opinion there is nothing missing. In my opinion if you have read the previous Scarlett Bell Series you won't be disappointed. This was a great conclusion to the Scarlett Bell Series. If you like Criminal Minds then this book is right up your alley. You must read the series in order starting with the first book Mind of a Killer. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
i have really enjoyed reading the scarlett bell series! they’re very short, easy reads. i like how the stories feel complete and leave me satisfied even though they’re all like 150 pages or less. it feels very unique to learn about the main characters, scarlett and gardy, over the course of the entire series. it’s interesting because they are developed well enough in the first book to b satisfying, but we learn so much more as the series progresses. the book/series layout reminds me of my favorite shows like bones, csi, and criminal minds. i’m excited to continue reading this series and dan padavona’s entire backlist!
This was an intriguing series that had many unexpected twists and turns. Although I wish that it was much longer (lol!!), I truly understand why the author wrote it this way as well. There were some gruesome, chilling, and completely twisted cases, but this book was the perfect ending for the series. I would love to see more of these characters in the future. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Once started I was gripped enough to just keep reading all stories. Each is just a short story and not very complex but as a set they make a very entertaining read. The best book I’ve enjoyed for a while. It was also well edited with no spelling or grammatical errors that I noticed which made the reading en easy experience. If you like thrillers I would recommend this series.
I liked the length of these and was able to binge them easily. This was a good wrap to this series and launch for the next. I wish the female leads in these thrillers were a little more savvy…bell is an amazing agent but she gets herself into trouble all the time just not being ready. I feel Like male leads don’t get the same treatment and it’s disappointing to see women always have some weakness that seems very biased.
Bell and Gardy do it again. With a little help from Wolf. Corruption knows no end. Even Gardy doesn't believe Bell is paranoid anymore. Can't tell whose complicit or not. I'll say it again. This series is Pure Awesomeness! So is the author. Series would make an amazing tv show.
I'm loving these series I'm loving the wolf and scarlet bell awesome beautifully organized great story told and I am really in love with Logan wolf can't wait I think I read all of them except for I think this 1 coming out in January I will be there to read it
This series is one of the best I’ve read. I’m so sad it’s done. It was a nail biting on the edge of your seat with every page. Loved Scarlett Bell. I’m sure I’ll read this one again!!
To a great series. Liking the characters in a series is so important to the way the story reads. In this series I found a couple of characters that stood as as extreme likable. No matter which side of the law they were on.
Really enjoyed this one. Probably too much excitement for me! The storyline was a good one but could have used more Logan Wolfe. Great story none the less.
I absolutely loved this series. A badass female FBI agent, government corruption, vigilante justice and serial killers. I was hooked at the first book and couldn’t stop reading until the last.
Discovered this series completely by accident over Easter while looking for some shorter length audio books to listen to while going about my day to day and was absolutely delighted with the find.
Each audiobook is roughly 3 hours in length and covers a new case each book while continuing the main story of the FMC Scarlett Bell.
I finished the first 3 books in one day because they were so good and I needed more. Before I knew it I was on the final book of the series and on the edge of my seat the whole time trying to figure out how it would all play out.
The way that everything wrapped up with the conclusion of this series was very well done and no loose ends.
If you are a fan of quick listen audiobooks, the mystery/thriller genre and enjoy shows like Criminal Minds then this is definitely series you should add to your TBR/TBL.
The 10 book Scarlett Bell Series by Dan Padavona is worthy of a five-star rating. The story line and characters are well defined. If you are a fan of serial killer thrillers, you are in for a treat. I look forward to the next installment
