Another great fantasy series comes to an end. Charlie and her friends (except Rowan, who has been held back a year) are preparing for graduation. But first they have to find some way of defeating the evil warlock, Ponomarenko. At the start of the book, all hell is breaking loose, as Ponomarenko has attempted to destroy the Fae realm along with all its inhabitants. The severely wounded Fae survivors litter the Academy gardens, as the students and staff try desperately to save as many as they can from the warlock’s poisonous black tar.
Not only the Fae, but also Charlie has been damaged by Ponomarnko’s lust for power. She is now minus one hand and one Aradia cuff, and is unable to access any of her magic. Charlie is at her most vulnerable, at a time where she is most needed. Since she joined the Academy, she has defined herself and her self-worth by her ability to do magic. Now the magic appears gone, she feels useless and worthless. Throughout the book she needs to come to terms with this blow, and to eventually realise that her worth comes from within herself, and is not diminished by a missing limb (as many disabled persons have had to learn).
Meanwhile, Disha is also having a crisis of confidence, blaming herself for their failure to stop Ponomarenko. She has thrown herself into her study, paying negligible attention to her appearance or to her social life (this is Disha – so a VERY serious crisis).
As has happened before in this series, things are not quite as black and white as they seem: the Fae are not all blameless in the destruction of their homeland; Ponomarenko was not always evil; and just because a murder walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, does not necessarily mean it is a duck.
Too often in the real world refugees are treated like undeserving vermin, and innocent children suffer. Things are no different in the world of this series.
Because of the general tone and set-up of this series, you know in advance that Ponomarenko will be vanquished, but what is not clear is how that will occur, nor how many more victims will die in this struggle. As expected, the series ends on a relatively high note, with the possibility of an offshoot series left dangling.
This series has everything you might need in a fantasy series – great characters, great story-lines with plenty of thought-provoking situations. Highly recommended.

Finally got through this series and only finished it because I didn’t have anything else queued up to read. I had to skim large portions of every book due to the rambling that didn’t add to the storyline and made it too boring. (The main character’s inner monologue did not endear me to her but rather the opposite.)
The storyline had the makings of being a good one but there were so many things inherently wrong with it. I did a lot of eye rolling while reading the series and muttering “that is so stupid” dozens of times.

Well, that certainly ended with a bang! When I first started this series, I honestly had no idea that this would be how it ended. This series was unique in that there wasn’t one overarching plot the entire time. It set you up to believe one thing and that was kind of a plot, but then halfway through the series it was like SURPRISE! And I liked that. It kept me guessing.
After finishing Senior Witch Fall Semester, I was dying to get my hands on this book. And, for the most part, it didn’t disappoint. There was plenty of action and an element of mystery (even though at this point we pretty much knew what the plot was), there was still character development, and, like its predecessors, it was written well. I did think that it was a little disjointed in the early chapters, but that went away once the spring semester resumed. My only complaints are that it was a little cliché at times (including one really big cliché moment at the end that I could have done without), and the final fight was over way too quickly for my liking, especially given all the build-up to it that occurred. There are also a couple of things that still haven’t been answered for me (including the fate of one of the minor characters), which was a little bit of a let-down.
For the most part, however, I was satisfied with the ending. The final book in a series is a tricky thing to write, because readers have spent multiple books following these characters on their journey and sometimes even falling in love with them, so there’s a lot of pressure to do the characters, and their story, justice. Ingrid Seymour and Katie French have crafted a series that is unique, engaging, and will constantly leave you guessing all the way to the end and I, as a reader, am very happy with how things ended.

1,5 honestly Im not sure why I even finished…. Sorry guys… It has a very letargic feeling sonce book 3 no ups always downs then suddenly in a minute its all done… but still no understanding why… is she some great witch? But then how and why? Family backround? Than after all this stuggle it still seems she is noone withilout the bracelet?! And no time for hookup? And asking being engaged? Tempest was sucha food friend than she disappears as all other sisters? Nonsense… I gave 2 stars but its a declining story, heroine is going down bad decesions? Like why summoning DH without telling friends… I mean stupid mistakes…. So no… Im not happy… I sd finish at book 3 latest to save disappointment! Again it had potentials but was very much struggling finishing it. I sd have seen by the number of readers declining…

I was and still am in awe at the imagination that these two authors have. So many creative plot twists. I loved all the characters in this series, even those that were evil. (Mwaaahahaha!) Each one was unique with much depth and personality. The world building was outstanding and magical. The action was easy to picture even with all the tense moments of fighting and injuries. I’m glad the bad characters got their due, but It was so sad to read about the death of a beloved teacher. This final book in this series wrapped up pretty nicely although there was some indication that more is to come as a spin-off series. It sounds wonderful if it were to happen. I would definitely be interested to read it.

Ingrid Seymour and Katie French’s Supernatural Academy is not your everyday magical academy series. Nope, it is precisely the kick-ass action, sizzling romance, and earth-shattering magic kind of tale promised. Perfectly written, with a superb plot, a perfect cast from Charlie on down and perfect world-building. It’s conclusion, Senior Witch, Spring Semester, is not just going out with a bang, it’s totally explosive and totally wonderful. Everything looks doom and gloom, and rather hopeless at the start. Things are pretty darn fabulous by the end. Definitely recommended.

At the start of Senior Witch Spring Semester, things are in chaos. The Fae realm has been decimated by Ponomarenko, him having released some tar like substance that has not only killed all the life in the realm, but it has attacked the Fae as well and has either killed them, or made them severely ill. Hundreds of them litter the Academy grounds, and Charlie is unable to do anything, as she has lost her hand, and one of her cuffs, so her magic does not work. Disha, and the others, even senior students under Charlies guidance, try frantically to help, but it is a gruesome site.
This is just the opening scene in what is easily the best book in the series, because from here, it does not stop, it only picks up and goes harder and faster.
This book really reminded me of the final Harry Potter movies, when they were being chased by the gangs, or the final battle scene in the castle. There was this sheer desperation in all of the Main Characters, they knew this was it, that if they failed, it was over, people died, their loved ones died, parts of the world died.
And that is the kind of frantic, gritty and raw action that powers this story, as the main crew, Charlie, Disha, Rowan, Bridget, and at times even Dean McIntosh, Professor Fedorov, and Drew (Disha’s boyfriend), all run around, trying to work out what to do, knowing as they have at so many other points in this series, that it is really up to them, because at the end of the day, those in higher places have really dropped the ball.
It is not long though, before Human bodies start to turn up dead, mutilated, and with Fae runes on the body, saying that Death Horse would be taking a life for every Fae killed. The Scooby Gang, sent by Dean McIntosh, follow up, finding some clues.
The book has multiple story arcs, without trying to give anything away, from the start, and the blurb, there is the overall storyline of the Fae massacre and subsequent follow up into why he (Ponomarenko – that is just the best Villain name isn’t it??) would do it, what he plans to do next, what to do with the Fae, how to help them, can their realm be saved?
For there are thousands of homeless Fae now, in camps in woods, hiding in the City, trying to get food, some trying to pass as human and get jobs, there is a huge anti-Fae sentiment, and at the same time, these people are still sick, some still recovering from sickness and wounds from the attacks – there was not enough magic to heal them, and they ended up in Human hospitals, who had NO idea how to treat them, many died. The Fae have nowhere to go.
As well as this, there is Charlie’s storyline as well, about her hand, will she get it back? Can Nurse Taishi fix her? What does it mean for her, for her magic? Then of course, there is the missing cuff, will Ponomarenko come back for the other? Is she safe? Can she use just one cuff?
And of course there is the all-important question of this series…. Will Charlie and Rowan ever actually hook up?? Is she ready for that? Does Rowan actually want that?
Then of course, there are Charlies Friends, Disha and Bridget, because nothing is ever simple in Charlies life!!
Charlie is faced with some really difficult choices in this book, trying to work out where her magic actually comes from?
Is her magic within her? Is it channeled by the cuffs? Does she need the cuffs? Like is she able to do magic on her own, or is she actually really weak, and it is only the cuffs that have ever given her any power?
What is she without magic?
There are some really thought provoking, powerful and emotional questions in this book, ones that delve deep into Charlies character, it is so well done. But it doesn’t get lost in it, spending hours going over it (that would just be boring, we have evil warlocks to defeat, and a boyfriend to hook up with!!) Charlie is faced with several other challenges as well, her growing up and facing more mature aspects of her relationship with Rowan, and making sure that both of them are at the right place to take that next step, and that it won’t ruin their relationship, as they care for each other so much.
But most of all, Charlie is just terrified about the magic, and defeating Ponomarenko, otherwise, it might not just be the Fae who suffer.
This is easily, and by far, the best book in the series, there is just so much packed into the final book, and it is just so well written, so powerfully emotive, at times so real, so gritty, and at others, there is just full on action, with so much magic, that it makes Harry Potter look like a cheap magic show.
One of my favourite thins about this book, this series, is that the Authors have not been that worried about taking out Major Characters, and in this, the final book of the series, they hold true to that.
This is an exceptional series, one of the best in its genre I have ever read, easily, and if you love a good Magical Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Powerful, Character Driven Story, with just the best Characters you are going to read, you are in for a treat, and will NOT be disappointed!!

Epic finale to an epic story.
Charlie lost her hand, her magic, and now is losing also her hope. Without the option to be whole again, her chances (and her friends') to defy Ponomarenko and save the fae species are thinning every day. Handling school, boyfriend, and investigative work with murders piling up is no easy feat, and they need to collect all their wits to figure out a very dangerous, very desperate scheme to win against all odds, although not without high costs..
Even though I had quite a big break before coming back to this final installment, everything came back easily from my memory. I remembered many details, and was able to enjoy the story as much as if I read the previous book yesterday. Plot developed at rapid speed, with lots of suspense and drama, packed with action scenes and unexpected twists. I enjoyed the dynamics among the whole team, even with the unpleasant surprises slipped here and there, and I must say I nearly cried after the final battle. The outcome was bittersweet, yet it made the whole story so much more realistic. No war is without victims or collateral damage, an the message to get up and go on dealing with dire loss is a very important one. Because we are all survivalists.. and most of all is Charlie Rivera. Amazing story.

This ending was everything I wanted and more. Charlie is left an amputee after the previous rescue mission to free Tempest and the Fae Queen. With the lost of her hand as well as one of her cuffs she is unable to perform magic. Of course if you know Charlie you know she's not one to give up. A lot happens in this book and we find out some important information about the past that helps us understand the reason why Ponomarenko is doing what he is doing. I absolutely loved this entire series and was not disappointed at all with the ending. Both authors know how to tell a phenomenal story. I highly recommend!

Senior Witch Spring Semester was the best book of the series. Not because of the action (which there is a lot of), or the characters finally settling or beating the bad guy. But because it was the closing to the story. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I wasn't glad the book was finally over. What I mean is that the ending was fitting. It ties up loose ends. It feels like it was complete truth and very natural to end that way. It was well written and well thought out.
I'm glad I got to see this world, meet Charlie, Rowan, Disha & Bridget. It was a fast, fun read and I'll be looking forward to reading more from these ladies in the future.

Charlie will struggle to reclaim her magic, and someone she trusts will betray her. Unfortunately, the evil threatening to destroy all fae will not give them the time they need to find a way to defeat him.
Fascinating and well written characters who are fighting to save an entire race from an evil magician. Epic battles, suspense, and unexpected twists in the plot kept me engrossed in this book from the very first page. I think this is a must read series.

Happy dance for a happy ending!
Finally! I do love a HEA story, and after everything Charlie has been through, after everything the whole gang has been through, it's about damn time.
And there's enough of an opening at the end that a continuation of their story could happen. Rowan still has to graduate, investigations for the ladies, additional bad guys to find, weddings and married life... Perfect opportunities to come back and check-in on the lives of some favorite characters!

A fitting conclusion.
This series has been a lot of fun. It's a real rollercoaster of emotion and the storyline is long and winding, but in a fun and relatable (sort of) way. The characters are cool, but some parts of the story can occasionally be a bit glazed over, or not explained very much, but it generally doesn't distract from the overall feel of the books. I liked them a lot.

Needs one more atleast
This second half of Charlie's senior year was great to read about but the ending was a little abrupt for me..... I think there needs to be at least one more book that wraps it up.... Tell us about Charlie and Rowan's happy ending, does Disha ever get engaged, what about Bridgett and Lenora.... And what about this new job opportunity with Charlie, Disha, Bridgett and the dean.... Tell me more please don't just leave me hanging.

This series really didn't last well
I really enjoyed these books when I read the first two. But, by the third they became formulaic and predictable.
Charlie's got so whiny that I really just want to punch her in the face. And, for a self-reliant bad a$$ chick, she gets all stuck in her head for darn near 85% of this book.
I only finished this series because I couldn't set it aside.

Five book theories that the excellent read

The best of the five
Buckle and grab some tissues because this one is gonna make you cry! I couldnt believe everything Charlie has to go through. She loses a hand and cant access her magic all while worrying that mystro is going to come for the other cuff. The more she learns about him the more her guilt lessens. And of course theres an epic battle at the end. Such a good read!

Great conclusion to the series
Senior Witch, Spring Semester picks up right where the prior book ended. This book is a tough journey for Charlie due to the loss of her hand and the Arcadia cuff. Charlie and her friends strive to help the Fae and defeat Mystro Ponomorenko. There were tears, laughter, and gasps throughout. At the end, most things were satisfactorily wrapped up.

Charlie finally loses everything. Her cuffs, her magic, even her hand. What she doesn't lose is her sense of justice. She's going to fight for what she believes in and her friends are going to back her up. Super end to a phenomenal journey!

I loved the ending. There was a Harry Potter influence, lots of classic books/movie influences, strong woman characters and true love.

This series can be a little boring in places and seems to stall. The story is very slow in spots and may put you to sleep. But all in all, if you can get over those areas they are good books with good characters. It is a Good Read Everyone!

I struggled to finish this book. I didn't care what happened to her since she was so whiny since she lost her hand. It was well written but just couldn't hold my interest for the whole series.

Great conclusion! Constant action as Charlie deals with the loss of her hand & magic and fights to save the Fae. A well told story that wraps everything up nicely! This was a great series. I hope we get to see more of these characters in another series.

I really enjoyed this series BUT there were some things that really bothered me in this book. In the beginning Chatlie is missing her right hand then it changes to her left hand. I'm a details person so this kept tripping me up as I was reading. There was also the mention of her clapping her hands. Um, what? She only has one, how can she clap? Towards the end of the book, the use of conflagration was used way too many times in a short time frame. I don't mind repetitive words but big words like this is just annoying. While these are just just nitpicky things, they did distract from the overall impact of the story. However, I did enjoy the story as a whole.
