Read for my toddler's bedtime. This book teaches kids to think positive and positive things will come their way.. it gives examples for kids to think, what they want to do when they grow up, etc.
This set of books is empowering for younger readers. Families can read the question on each page spread and offer their own answers before reading the suggestions offered. Brightly colored illustrations pull readers in to explore.
It is a magical book that inspires us to dream big and reminds us about the power of creativity inside each one of us. The illustrations are really adorable and they get your creative juices bubbling. I recommend this book to young kids 😊
Another great book from this author about the power of the mind and creation. We create and dictate our lives and our children need to know that. I enjoy reading these books with kids to get them to start thinking about exactly what they want to do, be, and create. The illustrations are adorable.
I purchased all three of the books in this series a few weeks ago. I was looking for something to end out our kindergarten year of Distance Learning. These books were perfect. I read each book aloud on our Flipgrid for the last three days of school. The theme was just what I wanted to share with my littles as they prepared to face a summer of more 'at home-social distancing.' Each book had the right amount of positive and a sweet piece of 'don't forgets,' too.
At the end of each reading, I challenged my kinder-bears to make an illustration of how they could choose a trait and become part of these books. I was touched by each illustration they drew.
These are the perfect set of books for primary classes, books from grandparents to read, and a must for guidance counselor libraries.
This book received an easy 5 star. As a new teacher this book helps you a lot in communicating with younger children. The questions are good for any age group. The illustrations in my opinion was phenomenal. I enjoy seeing characters that resemble me. This book was designed for many different ethnicities, in my opinion is rare to find. The words were even easy reads for younger children. Definitely a great recommendation for all age group of teachers. If your students are older, you can sit at the desk and ask the questions. But either way, these questions are very important in life.
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy free for review. All opinions are my own.
The Magic of Me My Magical Dreams is the third in the Magic of Me series and unlike the first two installments this book does not start with a statement, but rather a question.
Each page asks children what they want to do, be or see; What would you like to design or create?, What would you like to see for a thrill? Then examples are given and are a great jumping off point for sparking a conversation between children and caretakers about what children want to be when they grow up!
Beautiful illustrations, inclusive characters - yet another wonderful book by Becky Cummings.
(5☆ Would recommend & would read again) I love that this book opens up a child's world to the idea of dreaming. As a parent, who has so much responsibility and life-juggling, it is easy to forget to slow down and teach my kids how to dream. So good! The pictures are beautiful, colorful, and engaging. The use of rhyme & color choices in the wording are great ways for kids to learn & to focus on key points. The story is fantastic from cover to cover & I absolutely love the tips for parents in the back of the book. I highly recommend this book!
Becky Cummings wrote My Magical Dreams. It starts off by discussing about dreaming big and gets children thinking about all the wonderful things they will accomplish as they grow up. It teaches about caring, giving to others, sharing, choices, and so much more!! I think this book would be great for ages 2-7.
Such a sweet book with cute artwork that will engage children and most importantly a message that children can do whatever they can possibly imagine. Loved it!
My Magical Dreams is sure to be a great spark to fire the imaginations of your little ones. Find out together all of the things they long to see and do. Lovely and playful illustrations accompany this heartwarming book.
Rich illustrated children 's book that encourages young children to explorer things around them (be inquisitive), be creative (use your imagination), and always do your best.
This lively, rhyming story begs the age-old question “What do you want to be?” A valuable growth mindset primer, it celebrates differences, strengths, and realized dreams. Every small child can see themselves in the pages.
